It was a blessing to take her and our second GSP, Harper to their place. My dogs LOVED LDR. They were able to run, hike, and play in the pond. I was fortunate to have such a great place to take my dogs. Piper lived to be 16 and up until the last weeks of her life, she still went to Lucky dog. Harper passed away sooner (GSP rescue) but absolutely adored Jeff and Susan. Jeff and Susan, the owners are fantastic people and always treated my dogs with the best care and attention. They even let us lay Piper and Harper to have their final resting place at Lucky Dog. I highly recommend this place. They not only have great daycare but the cage free boarding is a refreshing change from having to board dogs at a facility where they only get to stretch their legs a few times a day. I've been trying to plan for a week-long work trip at the beginning of May, followed some time in Europe, and needed to secure boarding. Over three days, I submitted multiple intake forms (in case the first didn't go through), sent texts, and called. There was no follow-up, no acknowledgment. Nothing. The only response I received was a single text saying they weren't accepting new boarders until May 1 and to fill out a request form...which I had already done multiple times. If you're too busy to take on new clients, that's completely understandable. But ignoring repeated outreach and sending a generic, unhelpful response isn't. Communication matters, especially when people are trying to make plans with real deadlines. They may be great with dogs, but based on this experience, I wouldn't rely on them if you expect professionalism or responsiveness.

Today I came to buy some fertilizer that was marked $6.99 on the bag. When they rang it up it was $14.06. They refused to honor the price on the bag. This is the first problem of this type that I've had here, but it really irks me. I hope everyone reads this and watches what they are being charged at this store.
