While we were eagerly greeted with smiles, we were NOT smiling about certain food items we ordered when we ate at Your Pie Pizza. Let's just say, stick to the BYO pizza offerings... DO NOT get the wings, unless you're looking for an easy way to GAG. I don't eat pizza but I have to join my pizza eating family sometimes... So we made our way to this spot and I was totally content knowing they have a PLAIN WINGS OPTION. I got 10 Plain Wings... I asked for them to be EXTRA crispy... But when I saw the way they were going to be cooked (they're oven roasted in a tin container), I knew that wasn't going to be achieved but I had hopes. The wings came out after the pizzas. They did not look even a LITTLE crispy. They just looked fatty with soggy skin. My husband got the buffalo ones, took one bite and looked at me disgusted. I tried so hard to be positive about this wing experience but I was basically gagging while trying to eat the tiniest bit of chicken meat found on these INSANELY FATTY wings. I felt like I was attempting to eat globs of seasoned snot. Horrible. I highly recommend Your Pie Pizza either invest in a deep fryer and get a different chicken wing supplier, or just take wings off the menu. Focus on what you're decent at. Wings are not it. Absolutely one of the best pizza places I've been to! The pizza came out hot, fresh, and loaded with toppings. The crust had the perfect balance of crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and you could tell everything was made with quality ingredients. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. The restaurant was clean, the service was quick, and the whole experience was fantastic. I was there yesterday with co-workers for lunch, ordered a 7" Ischia Margherita. It was good. My party ordered some chicken wings that were delicious. What was distasteful was the credit card transaction. I didn't want to tip. When I hit "No Tip" on the credit card machine, the transaction was declined. This occurred three times. The cashier claimed my credit card was rejected. On the fourth try, I hit "Specify an Amount". The screen showed a numeric keypad with a numeric value on the top row. I went here because I was trying to stay away from bread and they offered cauliflower crust pizza. They change an extra $5 for the upgrade so I wasn't to happy about that but hey if it's good so what. The pizza itself was ok... I ordered a bbq chicken pizza (w/ the cauliflower crust) & a cheese pizza for the kids. I felt the crust on my pizza was definitely a little to crispy and a little burnt around the edges. I've had cauliflower pizza before at other places and it wasn't like that so I took 2 point off their rating for that. We visited on a recent Friday evening. The process is that you queue up, determine what you want to order from a large menu-board on the wall, and then proceed to the order counter / make-table. You give your order to the person who actually makes your food while you watch. For pizzas there is a 2nd person handling some of the ingredients. Once the order-prep is done, you get a number-stand for your table and head further down the counter to pick up chips, drinks, etc. and pay. The food comes out fairly quickly. We got a pannini and a pizza. Between the two of us, we finished both. It was a good, light meal. The total bill for the food + chips + a glass of wine (and tip) was $30. I almost don't want to write this review for fear my newly discovered favorite spot will become too popular. They are located at the side of the Sprout's shopping center. Inside there's a large seating area, beer on tap, an assortment of gelato & a huge pizza oven. Their interior looks like a brewery hangout in Atlanta. It's pretty casual. They also have free wifi & it's a pretty quiet location to do some work if you don't mind rock music playing over the speakers. I originally wanted to visit for their Pi day special yesterday (3.14) but it looked like 200+ people were in line. A manager later told me Pi Day had a 2+ hour wait! They have events Monday- Thursday nights which is a saving grace since there's not much for people to do in this town. My family and I have been to this location several times. Each time it was wonderful. However, tonight we came into the store at 9, they close at 10. So an hour early and people are still in the store. So my daughter was eating and gave me a piece of her pizza, and the pizza dough want cooked all the way. The lady who took our order was more worried about eating with the boy in the booth then making sure our food was all the way cooked. Then I got the chicken bacon panini and the chicken was cold. Pizza is good and the place is clean. What made this visit great is the fact that the manager was scooping my daughter's gelato and when I asked if any of them had nut it she told me yes and then went to the back and scooped my daughter's gelato for a fresh container just to be safe that there was no cross contamination. As a Chef and having to always be worried about that when I am cooking for people it was nice to have someone show the same care for people. read more
