Party of 7 on a Friday night! Our tables were ready when we got there. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. We sat upstairs by the kitchen. It was a bit uncomfortably warm even though it was cold outside. First up was the Burrata, Prosciutto & Pesto appetizer. It was okay. Fresh but wouldn't get it again. I've had better. We ordered cheese, pepperoni, and Prosciutto & Arugula pizza (meh), along with a Caesar Salad. Create your own pizza can add up very quickly. They charge you for everything. Our pizzas were cooked perfectly. Sizzling hot, super greasy and cheesy. Who knew pepperoni and hot honey complement each other! We celebrated my husbands 60th birthday recently at Bella's. We were able to use the private room on the lower level since we had 16 guests. We started with the bruschetta and wings then ordered a variety of delicious pizzas for everyone to share. They offered a gluten free pizza that was also very good. Our server Justyna worked very hard and insured that every one was having a good time. They allowed us to bring in our own cake to celebrate! The event was great and everyone enjoyed the delicious food. We stayed a little past closing, but owners did not rush us out. Highly recommend for small groups! The service was friendly. We sat in the bar area and it was not too noisy. We noticed there quite a bit of takeout orders too! The food was delicious and very quick once we ordered. The panzerotti was enormous and enough to share for 2 with a delicious red sauce! My suggestion would be to stay away from prosciutto based pizzas...between somehow out of place arugula and "gummy " prosciutto and dense dough - everybody in my party wasn't really happy about our experience As far as I know everyone likes to munch on leftovers pizza later on or next day ( normally) but for some reason couple of slices that we brought home were uneatable few hours later extremely hard to swallow.. The pizza was wonderful! The pepperoni was crisp and we tried the pizza with the goat cheese and fig and it was different but so good. We sat by the bar and were the only table alone with a guest at the bar and service was quite slow but food made up for it. Normally the service would've been a turn off but the food was good. It was a quiet weekend dinner so the ambiance wasn't overwhelming which helped when my kiddos got fussy from waiting. Overall a good experience. read more

I want this place to succeed. They have gluten free crust & a cool setup. Downtown Algonquin truly benefits from this spot being one of the sidewalk offerings. They were very nice, the food was great, and the Nutella pizza was somewhat mind blowing. They may need to have the kinks ironed out, but I'm more than willing to be patient. My main/only complaint would be be dial back the amount of fig jam on the Fig & Goat cheese pizza, but that's a minor tip from an outsider. I can't wait to go back & look forward to the pizzas I've yet to try. read more

Superbly done pies! The style reminds me of Neapolitan pizza with its a thin softer crust and delightfully pillowed edges. Choose from 18 signature creations or build your own. I went with the Diavolo. Being a sauce fan, I would have liked to have seen a little more sauce but otherwise was done to perfection. For as good as the pizza is, you'd be severally missing out if you didn't at least try the appetizers. The "Burrata, Prosciutto & Pesto" looked crazy amazing and the "Baked Goat Cheese Suprema" was absolutely to die for! Simply WOW!!! Add a quaint interior, friendly service, and wonderfully crafted drinks makes Bella's a must try winner. read more

I got ignored by the bartender who was too busy talking to 3 other co-workers.. So decided to go sit outside thinking that would be better. The hostess is walking in and out cleaning up tables, meanwhile just sitting and waiting for someone to acknowledge me..asked the hostess if she could bring me out some water..too busy to do that even though she is clearing off tables. Dead inside and out not happening at all really.. Then I get some lip from a server too busy to get me water, but not too busy to come outside to tell me she is to busy.. Awful service!! read more

I really want this place to succeed, but I don't know...service is less than mediocre & I paid $50 for a pizza & a salad. I know inflation is high, but you have to have a solid reason for charging that much, especially if the service isn't great. It's unfortunate that restaurants in downtown Algonquin are good when then first open, but then get crappy & cheap as time goes by- you cannot do that & keep customers! read more

The pizza here is very similar to what you will find in the Napoli and Puglia area. my father was born there so we have visited a couple times in the last few years after he passed away and it really reminded me of my father and the delicious food that he made for us and would introduce us to. Being generous with the two it was completely soaked on the bottom they say you have to eat it with a knife and a fork because you can't eat it regular all the toppings soaked through to my plate, honestly I couldn't finish They said you have to roll it up like a taco. I've had plenty plenty of woodburning pizza and you don't have to roll it up like a taco to eat it. The salad was very basic. They didn't put hardly any oil and way too much vinegar. My wife & I went to Bella's for the wood fired pizza. I ordered mine well done because I like a char on my wood fire pizza. My wife ordered her pizza as they normally cook it. My pizza came out perfect, dark with some char, how a wood fire pizza should be cooked in my opinion. My wife's came out much less done but she really liked it because she does not like any char. What I noticed is that my well done pizza crust held up well to the toppings while my wife's pizza did not hold up to the toppings and she had to eat with a knife and fork. My "Italian" parents went to Bella's on another occasion and said they didn't like the pizza because it was under cooked and soggy. I told them to give it another try and order the pizza well done! One suggestion to owner, make sure the servers explain the base price of the pizza does not include cheese. The menu is confusing because most base prices for pizza include the cheese. I thought the overall price was fair for a quality brick oven pizza but how you get to the price is confusing. read more

Although the service wasn't great and the bar really isn't a full service bar and like most places a little noisy for me the pizza was outstanding for that I definitely would recommend going. Just look at your bill closely before paying we were charged for several things we didn't have and had to explain the pricing to the server. But all in all a great pizza read more
