My hubby and I went on a Saturday afternoon around 4:15. By the time we left, there was a line to the door. The pizza restaurant and bar is shared with Orchard Prime meats. A really good meat market. The whole place is just cute and cool. We have eaten the pizza a few times. Always very friendly service. You can only get salad and deep dish pizza. The pizza is delicious! Ranks up with Lou's. May be better! We got sausage, pepperoni, onion and black olives. The crust does not get soggy. Plenty of ingredients with tasty tomatoes. The pepperoni on top gets crispy, yum. I think the price is reasonable too. The pizza takes a while to get but so worth it. You should check them out!

First time to uncle Jerry's and it did not disappoint. Next time I go I believe I will order the pizza before we even get seated because it does take time. Overall the service was awesome and the pizza was delicious!!!

    That's a niceah pizza!

I seen this place on Portnoy's, and I had to try it. Dave may be a chode, but he doesn't lie on pizza reviews. I would compare this to Lou Malnati's, but different construction, and less corporate made. On the thinner side of pan pizza, and quality ingredients. Service was friendly and very attentive. Our waitress was awesome to compliment the pizza. This place is inside a meat market. So I had to get some mock chicken legs and Italian sausage. Same sausage is on the pizza and it is delicious. Worth a trip and visit. Great people, great service and excellent pizza.

This will be a bold first line and I mean every word of it - Uncle Jerry's is the best pizza in Illinois. It beats every single place in the city. Mom and pop joint deep dish or pan in the city? Uncle Jerry's is better. Peaquods? Uncle Jerrys is better. Lou malnatis? Unos? Connie's? Giordanos? Uncle Jerrys is better. Did I drive over an hour to get here? Yep. Was it worth it? 1000000% and will be doing it again. This place is pure perfection. The vibe, the staff, the pizza? INCREDIBLE! Shoutout to Barb, I literally love her! So kind, funny, and you could tell she loved being there. She always made sure we were taken care. Now the food...I'm picky when it comes to pan or deep dish. I'm a cheese girl because I think most sausage at restaurants tastes weird, and most places use frozen veggies so the pizza is watery. But at Uncle Jerrys? You get perfection. The sauce is so incredibly fresh, you can actually taste the beautiful tomatoes. The sausage is INCREDIBLE! Fresh and doesn't have the weird taste most restaurants have. Seasoned to perfection. Their crust is the perfect crisp and the cheese on it is next level. The cheese crust is what peaquods is known for - Uncle Jerrys does it better. To me peaquods crust is good but the pizza itself lacks flavor. Not here. Everything is perfectly seasoned. Not too little and not too much. They really make every ingredient shine. The spontaneous spinach is the best spinach pizza I've ever had. They use fresh, not frozen spinach which makes a huge difference. The garlic? My goodness. It was the perfect bite. This is the type of pizza that's worth driving a few hours for. I'm grateful I'm only a little over an hour away. We will be back for my husbands birthday in June!

After a weekend in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, my son and I decided to drive 40 miles south to Cary, Illinois to try Uncle Jerry's. We are so glad that we did. Uncle Jerry's is co-located in a butcher shop in an older building. There is a large semi-circular bar in the center of the space, and all of it works to make for an interesting and relaxing space (and I say that as a vegetarian who was surrounded by meat). I felt like I was having quiet mid-afternoon lunch in 1948. The pizza was the showpiece of the visit! It arrived piping hot -- almost molten. I made the mistake of eating my first slice before the pie had cooled a bit. Don't make that mistake, as the flavor of the pie really emerged as it cooled off. Crisp crust; Flavorful, if slightly sweet sauce, and a good volume of cheese that added flavor but not excess fat. If I have one criticism, it is that the cheese could have been more flavorful, but I do think that the flavor emerged as the pie cooled, so I may have just been too eager when the pie arrived! Cary, Illinois is a charming little town, and Uncle Jerry's offers better pizza in a small town than I have found in many larger cities!

Delicious! I love that crust. Uncle Jerry's pizza satisfied my deep dish craving but with its own flair that makes it taste special and distinct from the usual Chicago deep dish spots I've been to.

Their "Sweet Sting" pepperoni pizza - hands-down, still one of the best pizzas ever! So good!

This was a sequel visit - and after eating as much of my pizza that I could, I am thrilled to tell you that everything was great tonight! I had their "Sweet Sting" pepperoni pizza, deliciously drizzled with their homemade, habanero-infused honey. Oh. My. It was so good! I asked for Melissa's section, since she provided such great service the first time - and she was just as fantastic this time around! Seriously, if you are ever in the area, stop in for dinner. You will be seriously glad you did! (By the way, Melissa mentioned they have a "secret" pizza that isn't on the menu - it's called the "Angry Goat". I am definitely trying that the next time I stop in!)

These pizzas are so well done here. The crust is the perfect mix of crunchy and buttery, making it super tasty. The menu isn't huge--they've got classic pizzas, build-your-own options, and some salads--but the topping combos are on point. We tried the Sweet Sting, which nailed the spicy-sweet combo, and the Goat. I mean, goat cheese on pizza? Enough said. The place has a chill, comfy vibe where you can seat yourself. The beer selection is solid and cheap, just like the pizzas--especially if you're coming in from Chicago. The service was awesome too!

First time here and can say that the pizza was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed the classic sausage. The crust was crunchy and crisp and the pizza had just the right amount if sauce. Ambiance was casual and service was friendly. We'll be back for sure!

Uncle Jerry's, what can I say? Top 5 deep dish/pan pizza in Chicagoland area...What a gem located in an old school deli half deli/ pizzeria if you love pizza and your connoisseur then you will love uncle Jerry's! Uncle Jerry's is a mix between deep dish/pan pizza. They build their pizza similar way Peqouds dose with deeper pans tho, sliced mozzarella cheese laid up against the wall of the pan. My go to is always the standard cheese pizza when my first time visiting any pizzeria. Man, uncle Jerry is on point from their dough being light flaky with amazing chew easy to cut with a knife and flavorful! and their sauce phenomenal perfectly acidic nice flavor and seasoned just how I like it perfect! They also use high quality cheese. That's the one thing I do Recommend ordering extra cheese on your pizzas. In my personal opinion, uncle Jerry, shits on peqouds. Service was amazing waited maybe less than 15 minutes for a table. Definitely worth the hour drive to Cary. Be aware pizzas do take at least 30 minutes or longer! Next time I will definitely be ordering a pizza with toppings! 100% Recommend!!

I would surely give this place five stars, but due to my issue that you're going to read below I…read moregave them three. I've ordered from this place about 10 times since they took over the old Romanescos (I believe it was called). I apologize if I spelled it wrong I never ordered from there before. When it comes to thin crust pizza being that I grew up on the northwest side of Chicago. I prefer Tavern style. A lot of people don't know what that is anymore but true Chicago ones do. Where I grew up it was a big Italian neighborhood and that is the standard type of pizza to a Chicago ones. Not deep dish. I've been living out here for 21 years and although I still frequent the city for certain foods as well as Ben making pizza from scratch which is time-consuming, I hadn't found a halfway decent authentic Chicago tavern style pizza out here up until a few years ago. Originally, I was ordering from Rosati's in Cary and I was somewhat impressed. Originally Rosati's was a family pizzeria that franchised their name and recipe off, but I've noticed that a lot of of their franchise locations as long as they hold true to the original recipe is pretty decent. Some aren't great. When I came to the one in Cary, I started noticing they started skimping on toppings so I stopped. I then tried the Pizza Stop right down the block from Rosati's. It's a pizza I'd like, love the crust however, they always always followed special instructions however, the sauce has a little too much garlic in it for me, which doesn't agree with me. Then, Gallos opened up. I tried them and was extremely impressed. The crust was crispy, the sauce is very tasty. And they initially followed my request for any toppings to be placed above the cheese rather than underneath. Why do I like toppings above the cheese? Because it cooks and crips more. When you're dealing with sausage, pepperoni, mushroom, onion, it just taste so much better. When it's buried underneath the cheese in my opinion, it's slimy, wet, and greasy. The last five times I ordered Gallo's and requested toppings above the cheese. It doesn't happen. It did initially but not anymore. Tonight I ordered a pizza requested toppings on top. I specifically told the kid on the phone that the last time I requested it it didn't happen and she told me that she would make sure it did. And to my disappointment after the fifth time it didn't happen. Once I received it, mushrooms were buried underneath. I called to advise and the young girl on the phone simply apologized and said "the next time I'll write your request down". My response back was "you should always write everybody's order and request down on a ticket". My guess is that she typed it into a computer on the register and figured it would magically happen. Again, I don't want to inflict lack of business to the people that own Gallows. But if they can't fulfill, simple requests, then I'll move on. I told the girl on the phone that there's a lot of places in the neighborhood that they have competition with. If they reply back acknowledging this review, they might say well we were busy that particular night but again it's been five times and there's times I order during the week when it's dead.
