Amazing pizza! We tried the Detroit style and it was so authentic Detroit. Clean dine in dining room! Highly recommend and so many options! New York, Chicago and New Haven

Who knew that a short twenty minute drive would get us a Detroit style pizza? The high rating and rave reviews made us drive right over and pick up a to go order. Large Detroit style pan pizza with cheese and pepperoni = $18; cut into 8 squares. To look at a Detroit style pizza you think of Little Caesar's. But this isn't fast food pizza. This is the real deal. No greasy, cheap ingredients here. La Pizza Via starts off with a focaccia crust, cheese that melted over the edges and caramelized, chunky acidic tomato sauce, and pepperoni (or your choice of any toppings that cost extra). This pizza is very filling and delicious. We called in our order for pick up. Were told it would be ready in 25-30 minutes. Sure enough our pizza was ready when we arrived. Small dining room to the side through a open doorway with a few tables. So this is more than just a carry out location. According to other reviews on Yelp, La Pizza Via also serves NY style and a thin crust pizza as well as Stromboli. We are definitely coming back to try their other offerings.

Food was cold by the time it arrived. Pizza was dry, and arugula was not cooked on the pizza. It looked like a salad.

    Are there vegan options here?

Hi Andie - we can do cheese-less vegetarian pizzas, which are vegan. We have also done vegan friendly cheese in the past, but would need you to give us advance notice as we don’t normally stock this due to lack of demand. Thanks, Jeff

I'll try to be short, but want to give a true account of the events. Yesterday I came from the city via Metra late afternoon with another friend to visit a dear friend that moved to Cary a few years ago. Cary is far & we rarely see one another. Needless to say, we were super excited to for this mini-reunion & for our friend to show us a slice of Cary. It was not the best planning being St Paddy's weekend but so be it. We specifically looked for a place we could easily talk & catch up. We started w/ one chocolate martini at Cucina Rustica and chatted OVER an HOUR. Little did we know, we should have stayed there. Next stop, Cary RACIST Ale House. The back area lounge was nearly empty & we were assured it was open (not booked for any events). The waitress, at the start aggressively asked a bunch of questions. I first thought her line of questioning was bizarre so I ignored her while trying to figure out what to order. She asked how we got there, who was driving & specifically said she didn't feel comfortable in serving me. WTF?!?!? My friend politely answered her questions and when she left, we all agreed the waitress's behavior was odd & laughed it off. We refused to have her ruin our evening. To our SHOCK the waitress would NOT serve me?! Only me! Was I disruptive? NO! Was I being violent or doing something illegal? NO! Did I come in stumbling? NO! Was I slumped over passed out? NO! This was crazy! Check your security cameras if you don't believe! Was this a bad twilight zone episode? Was someone going to tell us this was all a joke? I was speechless. We asked her why. She said it was a management decision. What?! Interesting since no one came to talk to us aside from her. We asked her to explain, to get some understanding. You will NOT believe what she said....she said it was my eyes. I looked at my two white friends & asked if something was wrong with my eyes? No, nothing is wrong. WOW, she basically said my Asian eyes were an issue. Falsely claiming I was drunk and couldn't be served because she didn't like Asian-looking eyes?!?! I was stone cold sober ***hole! We were all completely sober & flabbergasted! Completely disgusted, we left. I thought about brushing this aside but I wouldn't want anyone else to be treated that way. I will not allow them to humiliate me. This was supposed to be a happy occasion, and it was spoiled by a bigoted, small-minded person. I don't know how these people can live with themselves.

Everything seems to be up at least 10% all over, so I can't fault them for it. I just wish income had gone up that much in a year. Again not their control. But I just can't go eating at restaurants as much. The price of 6.75 for a dog fish beer was imo kinda high and it was rather flat. The coleslaw was honestly so bad and bitter rancid tasting I had to spit it out. Honestly, not a fan of Cole slaw but this is the first I've had to 100% reject eating. The pickle I got that someone raved about, didn't look great when I turned it over The fries honestly could have been cooked a little more but were pretty good. The best part of the meal was the burger though so that sorta saved the whole experience. I sat on the patio and got good service. I appreciated that the to-go wasn't styrofoam. I had to take 1/2 the burger home. There is a 3% surcharge for using credit cards, so I was glad I brought cash, as I'm tired of getting charged for charging. Ha. Overall not bad, but could use some attention to detail.

The main…read morereception hall features a large stone window behind the wedding party table, and there is a patio just outside that overlooks the water, which makes for a gorgeous setting. While Wild Onion is clearly a great venue for events, it is also a restaurant and brewery, so I am focusing this review more on the food and dining experience. We ate here for my cousin's wedding rehearsal dinner and were seated in a red carpeted room connected to the main reception hall. Unfortunately, this space felt out of place compared to the rest of the venue. It did not match the elegant vibe of the main hall and was a bit dark and dingy, which was somewhat off-putting at first. Service-wise, our waitress was wonderful. She was sweet, personable, and had a fun, upbeat personality that helped improve the overall experience right at the beginning. For my meal, I ordered the Kickin' Chicken Sandwich ($17). It is a hand-breaded chicken breast topped with honey garlic sauce, pepper jack cheese, bacon, chipotle mayo, and fried jalapenos. The sandwich had a really nice balance of flavors and was easy to eat, but despite the name, it was not spicy at all. I enjoyed it, though I did find the portion a bit small, and it did not fill me up. I chose cheese curds as my side, and those were a highlight. They were crispy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Also, because I am currently pregnant, I had an absolutely delicious mocktail. I sadly don't remember the name of the one I ordered, but I am here to say that it had a good balance of flavors. Overall, Wild Onion has a large menu with a wide variety of options, along with many different side choices, some for an additional charge. There truly is something for everyone. While the rehearsal dinner space itself was not ideal, the food, service, and overall selection still made for a positive experience.

The plate had both ketchup and what I thought was mayo. The waitress didn't explain. I put some on my burger and was repulsed. I asked the manager what it was and she said it was the chef's secret dejonasise that also had garlic aioli and horseradish in it. It wasn't great, but at least it was house made. The waitress asked about my meal and I mentioned I really disliked the salad dressing and she just said, "oh" and walked away. The place has in big white letters on their window "All you can eat sushi" and I've been there for such a few times. Figured on a random Wednesday night it'd be fun to go grab such. So myself and four others got there, the place was nearly empty (only one other table seated), we sat down. Waitress hands us the non-AYCE menus, which were used to them doing on previous visits and we just will tell them we're doing AYCE when they ask what we want. She takes our drink orders, comes back with the drinks, and then asks us what we want to order. This is where things take a turn. She tells us they won't do AYCE because their sushi bar is short staffed. It's an empty restaurant. We ask if we can order sushi in general, and that's apparently okay for us to pay full à la carte pricing for the same short staffed sushi bar. We'd already been served drinks... we had to pay $17 for 5 fountain drinks to be told they didn't have what we came for. We ended up leaving and going to a different restaurant. This all could've been solved if they'd just put a sign on the door, or told us when seating us that they weren't doing all you can eat for the night. It was especially annoying that I raved to 3 of the 4 others in our party how good the food was and they drove the longest distances to be there just for this to happen and we ended up driving to the other restaurant back closer to where they all live. The food may have been good on previous visits but the service tonight was not customer friendly at all and I finally understand why despite how good their food is the place has been nearly empty every time I've gone there.
