Brought my son to the store to replace his phone as it broke, again, with the new upgrade of the I-Phone 15. We were there for 2 hours - no kidding - but it was all good because our verizon employee, Joshua, was AMAZING. He was beyond patient with my son, who could not remember his password to ICloud. Joshua knew that he knew it and kept encouraging him to remember (he is 13 years old). Joshua refused to give up and was determined on figuring out my son's password and you know what? He did. The store was busy, full of cranky, impatient people, and not one did Joshua loose his "cool" or roll his eyes (i did alot). So thank you Joshua and the Verizon Team for doing an amazing job! Bought a charger for my new iPhone at the recommendation of the store associate who told me this new charger would cut down the amount of time it takes to charge the phone. $40 later and less than 3 months after purchasing the charger which was never mishandled or misused and it already doesn't work. The store won't refund or allow an exchange and instead simply recommended I buy the charger again, such a joke. read more

I give one star because I've been trying to return equipment at this location unsuccessfully. "System not up; too busy come back later. " The line ahead has five customers and the wait is long. Representatives unsympathetic. Hope will never need to come back but for now... just wait so I can return my equipment. read more

So, I went to this Verizon wireless location due to close proximity to my home. Unfortunately, that was a mistake for me. I purchased 2 brand new IPhone 15 pro max phones and one Flip phone for my elderly mom. This entailed a new line as well. According to Verizon advertisements, I should have received 2 Apple Watches and IPads. I received none, in fact we were told by the sales associate that we were not entitled to those items. Keep in mind I added a new line and received absolutely zero. I traded in 2 IPhones as well. After almost 2 hours of back and forth nonsense with constant trying to upsell me everything from accessories, which by the way are 60/70 % cheaper on Amazon for the exact same thing, I left paying a bill of almost 1200.00 dollars. My wife of course immediately called Verizon and was informed, yes, you definitely qualify for the promotion of free watches and IPads. We were instructed to return to the store for our promotional items. Unfortunately, we got Covid and could not return for several weeks. My wife did return and once again the sales associate refused to give us the promotional items. He again stated we did not qualify and that Verizon corporate was wrong. Truthfully, why we didn't walk out if this store the first time is beyond me. The sales associate was arrogant and at time nasty when questioned. Long story short we called Verizon once again and were told again, yin are most definitely qualified for the offer but unfortunately, that promotion has ended. For all those reading this review. I do many reviews on yelp. I pride myself on being honest and transparent about my experience. With that said, this location in Oceanside, NY first Verizon, is like going into a use car dealership. All they want to do is sell you everything and give you absolutely nothing, except what you likely overpaid for. There are literally thousands of Verizon locations. I highly recommend that, YOU STAY AWAY FROM VERIZON STORE, LOCATED ON LONGBEACH ROAD OCEANSIDE, NY. I have Verizon for my cell service for decades and home service as well. I came in today initially for an phone upgrade, but ended up getting FiOS for my home as well. I was helped by Christian. Why does going to the Verizon store have to be so frickin painful? No matter which store you go to. The lack of training and the lack of effective communication by employees of Verizon stores is one of the largest -- if not the largest -- problems of the digital age. Verizon: train these kids!! They're ridiculous!! My entire grievance can be summed up in one name: "Niran", the kid who "helped" me; and, as an extension of that, all management responsible for putting someone this incompetent in to this job. read more

Having recently broken one of my FiOS remotes, I dreaded having to drag all the way to Hempstead to get a new one. Turning to Amazon and eBay, I was turned off by the additional upcharge for convenience, so I decided that it was worth my while after all to find a Verizon store. Fortunately, Verizon has added FiOS services to this little wireless outpost on Long Beach Road. I called ahead, and they assured me that they had remotes in stock for $10. Getting in the car and driving over, I found a convenient little parking lot out front, and only 1 customer ahead of me. The tech quickly swapped out my broken remote, and we had a chat about the future of FiOS (when is 4k coming, and is Quantum worth it for me). The FiOS rep was actually exceedingly honest with me, warning me that if I jumped to Quantum I'd lose a special discount I had on my account which was good through next March, and that I should consider that in making my decision. Really like the customer service, and with the convenience factor added into it, I'm sure to be back for all my FiOS needs. read more

On Wednesday, June 5th, Brandon assisted my husband and I in ordering a new I-phone. He was patient, kind, respectful and very helpful. On Thursday, we picked up his new telephone. Bayron was a tremendous help in acquiring new phones and Verizon internet/home phone services. He went above and beyond to help out over the course of a few days, then followed up. Staff in store was polite and helpful as well. For those that are super Covid concerned, precautions are taken regarding spacing and amount of people in store. read more

Using the Oceanside Verizon Wireless made the whole "changing phones process" easy and enjoyable. From the second I entered the store, I was greeted by all the workers, and Brian, the manager of the store, immediately told me, "I will be right with you." As anyone knows, switching phones is a stressful process, yet Brian made the process easy and comfortable. As all of my contacts and information transferred, Brian suggested I sit on a chair and "relax". I can't express how blown away I am by the effective communication of the employees with each other, the respect, the diligence, and the expertise of the workers. the young man kept showing me the same phone (the note) even after saying i didnt want something that big. he would then say, "i have something else you might be interested in" he'd go in the back and would come out with the same phone just in different color!!!! then i also pointed out to him that storage is very important because i have a newborn and would be taking A LOT of pics. he said i should get the galaxy 5 or 6 ( i forgot which one) because i could add a card with more bytes. he also pointed out numerous times that the galaxy 7 does NOT hold a card with any extra bytes. i know from doing research, that you get a card that could hold 200,000 pics!!! seems the man just kept lying to me to get rid of his extra merchandise!!!. read more

Problem solved so far. I can admit that gave them 1 star before, but that was before I found out that this is not a corporate store. Unfortunately they can't do all the things I expected them to do. That's verizon's fault not the employees of this store. The employees are knowledgeable and my change of opinion is because I went there today to get my receipt from 4 months ago, and AL was able to look it up, and print it no problem. He also made me feel like I can annoy him with any problem I have with my phone. So I apologize for the bad review, because technically it's not their fault. How businesses solve problems is what keeps them and so far I'll stick with this store. read more
