we decided to go to M for happy hour. They were pretty busy, so we did have to sit at the smaller tables near the walk up area. But our server, Sean, didn't neglect us at all! He was very attentive and very funny as well! we are STILL talking about that meatball! seriously, i can't say enough good things about it! the meatball itself was fork tender, and seasoned to perfection. that sauce complimented the meat wonderfully, while the ricotta and fresh herbs offered a creamy, herby finish! i dipped the bread into the sauce and it was incredible! i opted for the limoncello martini which comes with a shaker for refills. $9 and i got about 2 1/2 drinks out of it. my boyfriend got the dragonfruit margarita and a classic margarita (not pictured) both pretty strong and delicious for happy hour drinks. my boyfriend really enjoyed the calamari! it's very flavorful featuring crispy peppers and tiny bits of fresh garlic. i loved the lemon aioli that was served on the side. we wrapped it up with carrot cake that they split for us. served warm, with a sweet cream cheese icing and caramel drizzle that compliments the cinnamon, nutty flavor. such a delicious treat after the drinks and appetizers! we were going to order a pizza but we got too full LOL! an awesome date location that features happy hour 7 days a week. our bill came to roughly $110 after tip which is very affordable for the area in which this restaurant is located. highly recommend trying them out for a date, friend catch up, or even a special event! read more

Came for brunch around 11 and I'm glad I made a reservation because the outside area was already full and the inside was around half capacity by 12. Highlights: the carbonara was absolutely delicious!!! Creamy but not heavy. The peas were sweet and well seasoned. It gave me the impression the chef seasoned throughout cooking not just at the end. The chicken and waffles was also a win. Waffles were bouncy and soft, the homemade whipped cream was addicting. Chicken was crispy and moist. The spritz flight I was not a fan of. Reading the menu it made sense why it tasted more like a mimosa flight but I was expecting mint in the Hugo spritz and a things a little more elevated. At the same time it was such a good price so simple made sense but a tad too sweet for me. Next time I would rather order the spritz individually and see if it's any different. The ambiance of "M Italian" is excellent. It combines the quaint vibe of Chagrin Falls with the comfortable energetic atmosphere of the establishment and the "coolness" of the glass blowing artists nextdoor. That all lends to a fun place to be. The service is always more than adequate. Our server last night was a very nice young man. Energetic, friendly, knowledgeable, effective. He did a great job all night. The floor manager seemed to be everywhere. Every time I looked up he was talking and laughing with customers. When I asked for something that was above our servers pay grade the manager quickly and kindly handled it with a smile. So I would definitely say the service was very good. But ... unfortunately we always end up at the same sticking point -- The food. I have never been impressed by the overall menu. The selection is limited and not very imaginative. Very limited meat and fish options. And the pasta is lacking... both in selection and quality. I ordered the "Carbonara" last night. And just like the "Cacio e Pepe" I had during my previous visit, it was lukewarm and stuck together like glue. To say the flavor was lacking would be kind. First timer here! We had a mini reunion and was so excited to be able to use the separate banquet/party room. It was perfection. Our server was so knowledgeable and kind. Fantastic meal from start to finish! The bolognese was one of the best pasta dish I've ever had. The zucchini appetizer is amazing and the meatball had excellent flavor. Only hiccup was our meatball was not warm and when we mentioned it to the waitress she didn't offer to replace it or heat it up. But the taste of everything we ordered was great. Fyi- this is a very late review of my lunch experience at M Italian, a beautiful restaurant in the heart of Chagrin Falls, Ohio. Hopefully, my experience still rings true to how it functions nowadays, nearly 10 months later! My friend and I went during weekend brunch in November of 2024. I ended up just ordering something off the regular menu though haha! I ordered a half size Sicilian sausage pizza and a half size Caesar salad as brunch and we nibbled on a couple very tasty bread rolls and oil while we waited for our main meal. So M Italian is incredibly fancy but also kind of chill - a vibe I can jive with as long as the price is right. It's a smidge pricey here but the food was tasty and we were blessed to have the most attentive waiter ever! Also, I am not used to getting valet parking when I go out to eat but I am glad M Italian offers it and it's free! Unfortunately, my memory of my exact feelings on the food is not quite there anymore but I think I remember the pizza being quite good! The pictures I have saved from the brunch are making me hungry again! I do remember that the complimentary bread was delicious and definitely worth the calories! While I dont remember the food that well, I still have good memories of the beautiful restaurant, our attentive and kind waiter, and the thrill we had when we found out valet parking was free! Service is terrible. Second time here. Second time getting the same terrible server. She is rude, not at all welcoming. She barely speaks to you except to ask what you want.. I actually saw her when we checked in and said to my husband I do not want her again tonight. Yet, that's who we got. The restaurant is not very allergy friendly. Things you can get one time you can't the next time. Food is ok not great. The last time we were there the bathroom was disgusting. One of the two stalls was out of order. The other had wet toilet paper everywhere and the garbage overflowing. They have a nice wine list. The Tuna Appetizer is delightful as well. read more

Came here for the first time a few weeks ago and had a great experience! I came for happy hour (which they have everyday!) and it was such a good deal. They have some seasonal cocktails and a good wine list. The mushroom pizza was delicious and I also loved the cauliflower app. The zucchini app, I probably would not get again - it was more fried coating than actual zucchini. The ambience impressed us from the start. Everything that we ordered was excellent especially THE MEATBALL! The carbonara, bolognese, and lobster and shrimp pasta were all excellent. I was a little disappointed in the lobster bisque because it had standing oil all along the outer edge of the bowl. It was oily, not so creamy. My soup also came with it spilled all down the side and no soup spoon. But those are easily fixable things. The service was way under par. We saw our waiter once after we ordered and that was for the check. I don't think I saw a single wait staff smile or display any personality. Have been here a couple of times for dinner, sitting both outside on the patio and indoors, and both options have a lively ambiance! We loved the calamari, which is sooo tender and fried to perfection. The bolognese was so good, 3 people from the party ordered it and left not even a drop of sauce on the plate. We have been here twice and definitely think this place is a 3/5 restaurant. The recent time we came here, they were pretty busy. We had to wait 10 min despite having a reservation. To start off, they gave us house bread. The bread was amazing but we questioned if balsamic vinegar was a good dipping choice for the bread. For appetizers, we tried beef carpaccio, meatballs and calamari. The calamari were thick calamari strips. The breading was not flavorful and the calamari strips were somewhat chewy. You had to dip them in the sauce to bring some flavors. The meatballs had a kick to it but it was very good. The beef carpaccio seemed to be thick and not good quality meat. It did not melt on my mouth and so chewy. It needed a little bit more citrus flavor to it. For entrees, my cousin and I decided to get seafood. She got scallops and I got branzino. My boyfriend got cavatelli with meatballs. The scallops were good. My branzino was too sweet. It needed some salt. Both of seafood dishes were accompanied by lemon risotto and asparagus. The lemon risotto did not go well with both dishes. It was so lemony. I liked the asparagus because there was a bite to it. The cavatelli was cooked Al dente. I liked how they made it. My girlfriend and I came here on a Wednesday evening right at the end of happy hour and sat at the bar. I asked the bartender if happy hour was still going on and he said yes, so I ordered two appetizers and a glass of wine. When my friend arrived at 2 minutes after, she asked if she could still get happy hour pricing and he said he'd take care of it since she was literally walking in as it ended. Then I got the Copa pizza on cauliflower crust. It was basic really couldn't taste the smoker mozzarella or the honey drizzle. No one, including the bartenders understood who made that decision. The happy hour prices saved this from being a lower rating. The atmosphere was relaxed--not too crowded--and we were seated right away. Our server was friendly and attentive, immediately offering us drinks. My wife opted for a mimosa, and I went with a cocktail. Both arrived quickly and were perfectly mixed. We started with the Zucchini Frites, which were absolutely delicious--crispy, flavorful, and better than French fries (seriously!). We enjoyed them so much, we boxed up the leftovers to take home. You must try them. For our mains, my wife had the Avocado Toast and I went with the Shrimp, Beans, and Greens. The toast was crisped to perfection and topped with fresh guac and vibrant ingredients. Waitress was nice, didn't catch her name which is my fault but she was kind. When we left the hostess said goodbye and have a great night. Manager was also kind to us. Everyone there is nice which I love, good food, worth the drive and time. My only complaint is the volume level but that isnt controllable especially with grand ceilings and people everywhere. Not sure how I feel about this place. It seems with all reviews they're great but we did not have a great experience. We had a big party, so we were sat in the "not main part" of the restaurant. Our waitress was either overwhelmed or new because we had to flag her down and ask the same questions several times. Not blaming the whole experience on her tho. The food. Most things had good flavor but nothing was hot. I say this is probably due to the kitchen being on the other side of the restaurant and the food being brought out through the restaurant and OUTSIDE to our portion of the restaurant. We had to send back 2 meals to be remade. Everyone else just ate theirs even tho they were lukewarm at best. The desserts tho...100% would go back for! We did end up talking to the manager because our second round of drinks came out after our entrees and we had to ask twice for the meal for one of the kids. 6 years old and the last meal to come out. However, we thought that we were going to a fine high-class restaurant where we could sit down, relax and enjoy a nice quiet dinner together, not a sports bar that is disguised as five-star eatery. The service was good but the noise level inside the restaurant is very loud. The pizza is actually surprisingly good. The lasagna is different in that it comes with red and white sauce. However, mine was lukewarm at best and better if it was served hot. The Molten Lava Cake was a disappointment. It wasn't served hot at all. I read reviews on Yelp that the cake was essentially a brick of chocolate cake with no lava inside. I experienced the same and the cake was more like chocolate pudding inside. I did ask the server to bring out a hot cake and she did, but it still was not very good hot as you'd expect. read more

We shared the meatball appetizer and got chicken Parmesan and the bolognese as our entrees, both were phenomenal. So much flavor and huge portions. Not to mention the BREAD. It was to die for.
