We got: super sampler platter, and 2 pc grilled cod, all to go. Sat at a table to wait. Maybe 5-8 min later they brought the food to the table packed to go. Got home and opened up everything to try. Cod was done well and so was seasoning. Just nice, not salty or overwhelming. Super sampler platter all of it was well done and not greasy. It was noted that the taste of the coating was a little creamy, even the waffle fries. Buttermilk in the batter? It was a little different and very enjoyable. Reasonable price too. The service was exceptional. The place was nice and neat. It was a small crowd yet the line went rather quickly. The food came out hot and beautiful to look at. When we bit into the food it was so delicious we even ordered desserts. The Classic Cheese Cake melts in your mouth upon impact. I definitely would recommend this place to everyone I know. My only complaint was an older couple walked in after me who sat down next to us with an extremely strong smell of Ben Gay or Bio freeze ointment on one or both of them so I was forced to move a further table away so I could continue to enjoy my meal further without that smell overpowering my food taste while I was eating. After a 20 year layoff we went for lunch about 2 months after the remodel. It was pretty good for fast food seafood. We ordered the fish plate with fries and hush puppies and an order of the lobster bites. Everything was cooked good with decent taste. Staff were really nice. I love me some Long Johns!! But today (Friday) at 11am they seemed pretty busy. One person up front taking orders and serving and one in the back cooking. I ordered the beer battered cod. I would pass on this item the next time I'm here. It's not the oil because the fries and hush puppies tasted great - unless the seafood is fried in a separate fryer. The batter seemed to soak up the oil. I just peeled off most of the batter and just ate the fish but the cod tasted great! read more

Why am I always stopping at fast food?? I'm giving this place 4 stars I have no idea why. I'm a softie. I like long john silvers tho! I had a coupon so that's kind of only why I went there. It's kinda overpriced and soooooper salty, like the batter is way salty, but, you know, kinda delicious. I got the kids meal with 1 fish plank, a hush puppy and crunchelies in the bottom. I got my choice of side and I was able to have ONION RINGS! They were so good, but good like from a booth at the county fair. I got a tiny plastic cup like a kid. Kids meal was great. If you choose to eat more LJS than a kids meal you are whackadoo. Plus don't drink so much pop like a giant size, you could get a kidney stone or something. The place is DIRTY! STICKY! Dag! I keep thinking I should knock it down to a 3 stars.... But there aren't too many left, and onion rings tho... Little pirate hats... :) it also seems to have a slight laxative effect. I recently visited this restaurant (today April 30, 2020 at 7 pm. I have come here many time in the past and expected great service and awesome food. My husband and I waited for our food and notice that there was music blaring from the kitchen with cursing. Since it caught our attention, we looked to see who was cooking and preparing our food. There was a Caucasian man and an African American man cooking and preparing the food. The language of the songs had the "n" word, "puss-" word and "b" word. I felt so bad for the elderly Caucasian woman who took our order because she talked to us and several other customers trying to ignore the ignorance of the music. The food was an okay standard. It looked ok but I lost my appetite after standing in this atmosphere. This is not the type of feeling I like to have after leaving the only seafood restaurant in mentor. read more

I've eaten here several times, The food is not great but it's not bad either a little greasy a little salty but not too bad. My main complaint is cleanliness, I went there the other night there was a lot of food all over the floors on the tables when people would leave they would not wipe down the table or sweep the floor that very disgusting.
