JoJo Bar has a great atmosphere, delicious food, and a fantastic downtown location. I especially enjoyed the Caesar salad. It's a wonderful place to relax, enjoy a meal, and stroll around downtown afterward. The only area that could use some improvement is the service, as a few items were forgotten and some dishes arrived later than expected. My wife and I were celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary and we've ventured out of our comfort zone and headed down to chagrin falls. We've heard a lot about JoJo's and wanted to try it. We made an appointment for 7:45 but arrived there about 6:00 just in case we could get in and the maitre d was so nice she sat us right away. Our server was very knowledgeable about the wine given his age he seemed pretty young but he certainly knew his stuff. While you can dress up for this place they were folks there that were certainly dressed down as if they just came from the golf course which is fine but it is chagrin falls and folks are dressed appropriately. This used to be the Old gamekeepers tavern but I've never visited prior to now. I got the bucatini Bolognese my wife got a shrimp pasta and we did split a Caesar salad along with a bottle of wine. I added the meatball I probably shouldn't have because I ended up taking some home that was a lot of food. My wife adored her pasta and as it was our anniversary our server was very nice and brought us up a complimentary dessert. The restaurant is trendy well kept clean and affordable. I would not recommend bringing small children here or toddlers. To do a patio outside and I'm not sure if they share it with another restaurant but we have came back once since our first visit. This time I did get the Great American cheeseburger which was fan flippin-tastic. Overall 10 out of 10 would repeat and will do so. read more

My wife and I occasionally come here because we love The food and the restaurant is beautiful but the place is just so poorly run. Let's start with the positive because I'm not sure who is running the kitchen but everything is so well thought out; from flavors, to timing, to presentation. I started with the wedge salad one of the best I ever had, I had the African prawns for my main which were out of this world, absolutely humongous, flavorful and so delicate. My wife had the beef carpaccio to start and the chicken for her main both were so flavorful and beautifully presented. Our server I believe her name was Carly was epic, she checked in on us many times through out the meal. I'm not sure if she made our martinis or the bartender did but they were incredible. Great food great service, you'd think that would be the perfect recipe for a great restaurant but the vibe in this restaurant is just off. Now for the bad! You walk in and the mood is sour, three young ladies and the front of house manager greet you with scours on their faces. No smiles, no positive energy, you try smiling but get nothing back, it's almost like they are doing you a favor just talking to you. This is a problem we've had with this place over and over again, poorly trained, cold and unwelcoming is the first impression you get as soon as you walk in(many of our friends have said the same). The staff are very disorganized and frantically trying to get plates out, while we were seated three different servers tried to bring us food that wasn't ours. When we politely informed them they were mistaken we were again given dirty looks as though we had done something wrong (one older blond waitress in particular was just so cold and rude, such a scoul on her face). We were billed for a bottle of wine we never ordered or received. The front house manager talked to many tables while we were there but chose not to speak to ours even though we were accidentally billed for a bottle of wine we didn't order and never received. I tried to talk to him on my way out but he gave me this fake plastic smile and brushed me off. Tried to tell him about how the poor greeting made us feel, he said something about trying to train them, I Didn't even get to tell him about the extra bottle of wine on our bill but my impression was that he didn't care anyway. The general impression here from the front of house staff is that unless your somebody they know well or a large group worth big money to them you are absolutely nobody. It's a shame because the food is amazing, our waitress was on point and the restaurant is beautiful but we can go somewhere else to be treated like crap for $350. read more

My friend and I came here on a Sunday night for dinner. There is no designated lot so be prepared to look for a spot on the nearby streets. The ambiance is cozy and beautiful! We were seated in the back right by the fireplace. The server was attentive and brought us a delicious basket of all kinds of specialty breads and butter. We both ordered the pasta with pine nuts and cream sauce. It was delicious. We ordered desserts as well. I had the carrot cake, which was HUGE and very rich. Prices are on point for other nice restaurants in the area. The menu had lots of good choices. This was a nice variation from the other local dining establishments. read more

I LOVE Jojo's. It's my favorite restaurant in all of Cleveland. The food is always served to perfection, the waiters are so kind and thoughtful, and the vibes are immaculate. It's honestly a no brained Taylor Swift are here when she visited. I always feel like I'm treated like family, and nothing I've ever eaten has been bad. We even showed up an hour early for our reservation and they still sat us. Truly, a remarkable experience and dining location in the heart of chagrin falls. Parking is limited, but there's valet and its chagrin falls. If you head down a few streets you'll get a nice walk past the falls, so really there's no losing. read more

We went to JoJo's Bar for our anniversary lunch after a day out kayaking. My partner surprised me and requested to have us sit where Taylor and Travis sat. The team at JoJo's made it happen and we were so impressed! Service was stellar and everyone was so kind. The food was also so good. I had wedding soup and a spicy vodka pasta. Both were incredible! My partner had the clam chowder (I think - it was something seafood) and that was the winner in terms of soup. The meat ball that sat on top of my pasta was $12 for just the meatball which was a bit of a shock, but it was for sure worth the $12. We went during lunch time so we did not try the cocktails there, but they looked fabulous. It was a quiet and subtle ambiance that allowed for us to have a great time together! read more

But for this takeout order I specifically requested a WELL DONE filet and when I get home and cut into it I get the complete opposite. That was disappointing. Service took far too long. We were a party of two, later in the evening, and spent two hours here bc our server barely came around. The food came out timely. Although we had some issues with the food. The biggest disappointment was my husband's filet. It was undercooked when it first came out. They took it back. The manager did come by to speak to us in between and comped us a dessert which was nice. When the steak returned, it looked ok at first. As he ate it, he said it was mushy (not melt in your mouth) and tasted a lot of char. He barely ate any of it. When we brought it to our servers attention she just apologized. This place is well above my pay grade so for us it's super special occasions only... The staff is incredibly friendly and the server's notes about menu items were really helpful in making our selections. I would describe the atmosphere as "upscale casual" if that makes sense. The sound levels were generally good for conversation although the volume did ramp up from time to time because everyone in the place seemed to be thoroughly enjoying themselves. The truffle fries were a good choice as an appetizer- thin and crisp. I tried my wife's Fiocchi Pasta With Ricotta & Pear- tasty! Had the Crispy Double-cut Organic Chicken. IDK if I'd call it "crispy"- more Juicy & Delicious IMO. There were six people in our party and everyone left happy. My only tiny dig would be that it was about 15% too dark for me to read the menu so I had to go to the flashlight on my phone- hopefully not too distracting for any of the other diners around us! read more

Had Sunday brunch at Jo Jo's at 12:30, and had a nice experience. We had a reservation, but we probably didn't need one. Several couples walked in. Our server, Chara, was wonderful. She gave us menus, and time to look at them and visit with friends. The menu had several eggs dishes, shrimp, sandwiches and other items. We all chose the soup and half sandwich. We all enjoyed them. The Wedding soup and clam chowder were hardy in large bowls. The half sandwiches were on thick grain toast and tasted great. Charla was spot on taking care of us. My family plus grandparents came to JoJo's bar the day after Christmas. The service was excellent as was the ambiance. We had a beautiful booth upstairs. We enjoyed the bread service and cocktails. Some in our party would have preferred some Italian bread rather than raisin bread. We took two of our nieces and one of their sons there for lunch this week. The food, as always, was delicious. Their "wedge salad"salad was about 2/3 the size of the one from last week. They sprinkled some very fine fried onions on top, apparently to make it look larger. The $24 shrimp cocktail is a meal in its self, my wife's go to dish. The chicken, Agilo e olio pasta was delicious. The pasta and meatball is very good. At lunch they only had the flat bread, it's good but we were disappointed at not having the same breads that come with dinner. Lunch was over $250, I'm not complaining, just letting you know. I do think, at that price, dinner sized salad, iceberg lettuce, and bread wouldn't affect their operating costs that much. Several items on the lunch menu are the same price as the dinner menu. Service was good and they accommodated the five of us with a very nice table with an outside view as requested. We will go there again, probably just not for lunch. I got the JoJo's salad and it was amazing!! Probably one of the best salads I've had and that really says a lot! The waiter was super nice and service was very quick and helpful. This place is a little pricy but I cannot complain, the food is amazing the service is also great! The food fills you up and gives you good portions, I highly recommend this place! read more

Christmas Eve at JoJo's. Had a reservation and glad I did. Placed was packed yet we were seated almost immediately. Even though we are residents of the Chagrin Valley, this was our first time here since it transitioned from Bird and Bull. Remodel is beautiful while still retaining the charm. Service....after a slightly slow start, was very good. The restaurant seemed fully staffed and no one seemed to be having any service issues. Food was excellent. I had the Filet Oscar....came out perfect, wife had the bolognese which she enjoyed very much. Had a couple of Manhattan's with dinner, wife had a martini. Both were excellent. Also had the calamari appetizer which I was told was excellent (I don't eat it). Pricing was fair for the type of restaurant it is. Parking can be a bit of a challenge if you don't know the area. All in all a great dining experience. We will definitely be back. read more

We've enjoyed many wonderful tasting menus over the years, but our New Year's Eve experience at JoJo's truly stood out as something special. Executive Chef Landon and his incredible Executive Sous Chef, Joe, presented our family with one of the most memorable and perfectly executed dinners we've had. Since we couldn't decide between the options, we shared everything, and we're so glad we did. The stone crab claws and lamb lollipops were an outstanding start. For entrées, my husband chose the bone‑in ribeye while I had the lobster ricotta agnolotti with black truffle. Both were exceptional. We ended the night by sharing the Luxardo cheesecake and the champagne‑poached pears, which were the perfect finish. The champagne and wine we were suggested were spot‑on, though the wine pairing would have been a great choice as well. The management team, with Mark and Ryan leading the ship that night, made the evening seamless, and our bartender, Michael, was an absolute professional. truly, everyone there is fantastic. Chef Landon once shared a quote with us from Oscar Wilde: "To the strangers that become friends and those friends become family." That sentiment perfectly captures what we love most about every experience here. We could not recommend this establishment more. read more

We came here for dinner. The service was a bit slow because they were a lot of people. We got our appetizers in a timely manner but it took forever to get our entrees. For appetizers, we chose beef carpaccio, and fried calamari. The fried calamari was good but nothing mind blowing. The beef carpaccio was awesome. I got clam chowder soup and it was a disappointment. It was too sweet for a clam chowder. I wanted to have something a bit more savory. Good thing it was not too creamy but could add more clam flavor to it. The bread baskets were good especially the raisin bread. The rest was a bit chewy for me. For entrees, I got the Alaska halibut, and my boyfriend got the New York strip with au poivre sauce. The Alaska halibut was flaky and tender but the seasoning was just salt and pepper. I don't know if the creamy sauce did anything to the Alaska halibut dish. My partner's dish was a bit better. The steak was cooked medium rare plus. He really enjoyed his dish. However, his dad who ordered ribeye got medium well steak instead of medium rare like he ordered. They fixed it but it did take awhile. My partner's mom got crab cake and she seemed to like it. The whole family got au gratin potatoes, and Brussels sprouts to share. The au gratin potatoes were excellent. The Brussels sprouts were steamed. It was okay but not much flavor to it. We also got drinks there and they were pretty good. Overall, the place was nice. The ambiance was nice but the place was a bit too dark. They did good steak but other dishes may not be their wheelhouse. I need to come here again to try more things. read more

We were looking for a outdoor (spontaneous) dining experience in Chagrin Falls--walked in to JoJo's BACKYARD --no reservations--we're able to get a table right away. The ambiance outside is amazing--remember from my 20's-30's Gamekeepers patio this blows that away. The food- Filet skewers --Buratta were tasty and the cocktails were just right. Our waiter was NICK--he was the best! He had great suggestions and spoiled us with his service. Just to make sure that we were happy--Ryan the manager-kept an eye on us--which was sweet. read more

Our server was super nice but I think over extended, we did not have the opportunity to order another round of drinks or get more water before we needed to get going. The food was bad. The steak/frites/bernaise sauce came out cold. Everything was under seasoned, but luckily there is some really nice French salt on the table to help. My martini was just okay. My husband's beer was very cold and refreshing, though. I think we expected more out of our time there based on how stunning the space is, but the food/drink does not match the ambiance. read more

JoJo's Bar is a Chagrin Falls staple! Reservations are a must. This is one of the fine dining establishments of Chagrin Falls and should be treated as such (meaning have realistic expectations in terms of business, parking, etc.). We came here for a date night and it was a pleasure to have a place we could dress up for a little bit. We started the evening with two well-made drinks and the calamari, and we each had a pasta dish. The drinks were fantastic! We both really enjoyed our pasta dishes and the portions were fair. Our server was very friendly and we enjoyed the atmosphere, as it was a great spot for date night where we could actually hear each other speak. My one piece of feedback for the restaurant: your ambiance is lovely. When it's evening, the dimly lit vibe is actually very beautiful. During our visit, they cranked the lights up brightly and it was awkward and didn't match the atmosphere at all. Otherwise, I think JoJo's is a fantastic spot in Chagrin Falls. I'm blown away! This place is such a beautiful gem located in downtown chagrin falls. I came here for my birthday dinner with a friend and we were both very impressed. From the fine dining, to the ambiance, the service: impeccable! We started with drinks which were amazing, got the starter of autumn vegetables: these were surprisingly delicious and I just wanted to savor these throughout my time here, we both got the Jojo's spicy vodka rigatoni, so yummy! It wasn't too spicy but had just enough of a kick to both of our likings. There are two sizes of the pasta and we both got the large one which was a good size. I appreciate them having two sizes based on your appetite or if you just wanted to give it a try without committing to a whole plate. I also got the truffle fries, I mean, who doesn't love a good platter of truffle fries?! For dessert, she got a coffee and I got the cheesecake. It had a caramel glazing that was incredible. I really loved the whole meal and it's some of the best food I've had in a long time! This place has easily become my favorite spot in chagrin falls and is located in such a beautiful building. The staff I also wanted to say were absolutely wonderful. So kind, helpful, and were checking on us often to make sure we were enjoying everything and to see if we needed refills. I had made reservations online and asked for a nice place to sit for my birthday and they seated us in a beautiful private booth with artwork inside and a curtain for privacy.
