My bestfriend had an emergency with her dog and we brought him in, the staff is VERY money hungry and that's all they cared about, very inconsiderate and non empathetic, we asked for updates on how the dog was doing if he was alive or if he was going to die and they refused to update us and hounded for payment we told them we were working as hard as we could to get care credit, they still were insisting on payment and they said since we couldn't get approved for care credit and they refused to wait until literally the next day when we could cash our check , that they gave us the dog and put us in a room and sat there and watched him die over money. It's very disgusting and sickening the greed this place has, I have NO CLUE how any of these people sleep at night. Update: the owners response says everything! They can definitely have their own opinion but there's no "inaccuracies" in my review that's MY experience and my opinion of your business and how me and my friend were treated during a horrible time when we lost a member of our family, our animals are family to us. The woman who was in and out of the room with the brown hair and glasses was very rude and VERY inconsiderate considering the situation. So the owner commenting back when he was no where in sight is CRAZY , goes to show they all enable eachother to act this way towards people who are scared and their pet is dying. Roughly 3 months ago, I told one of the girls at the front counter, that she looked like a certain…read moreactress and I showed her a picture of the actress. She said yes, she can see the resemblance and that was the end of it. The next month, I picked up insulin for my dog without any issues and again the month after that, I picked up insulin for my dog, yet again without any issues. Then a few days ago, I called in his prescription and they said, that they would fill it. It was his last refill, before needing blood work done again. Then just 2 days ago, I received a voicemail, while I was asleep, saying that I am no longer a serviceable client, due to an incident in their office. If they are referring to the conversation that took place 3 months ago, it wasn't an incident, it was a conversation and if that's what they are referring to, why is it now an incident, 3 months after the fact? Regardless of their reasons, if they don't want me as a client, that's fine, but don't let my dog suffer without insulin, over a 3 month old complaint. They are the only Vet, that had my dog's records and therefore, it would cost me hundreds of dollars, just to have him seen at another Vet and to have a Blood Glucose Curve done. No new Vet, will just give you insulin for your dog, without an initial screening and without a Blood Glucose Curve. I work long hours and 6 days a week right now, so scrambling to find a Vet, that would see my dog in the next day or two, was gonna be a challenge and that's not even considering the monetary aspect of it. I had to come up with a few hundred dollars and find a Vet that would see him immediately, just to get his insulin, which he hasn't had in 2 days. I still had 1 refill for my dog, so I suggested that I pay over the phone and send a friend in, to pick it up, but they refused to release, his last refill. Diabetic dogs shouldn't go more than 2-3 days without insulin, as it could cause life threatening issues. So whatever the issue was, which wasn't bad at all, they blew it out of proportion and they were willing to let my dog die, all because they took the word of one of their staff members and didn't even hear my side of it. Professionally, they should have let me know, what the complaint was and allowed me to share my side of it. I am only guessing, that it was the conversation that took place 3 months ago. I was able to round up enough money and I found a Vet that would see him today, so I took him to the new Vet and paid for the initial visit and a bottle of insulin for my dog. They scheduled an appointment 2 weeks out, to do a Blood Glucose Curve for him, but they gave me a bottle of insulin anyways, to save my dog's life. Whatever the incident was, I can assure you, it wasn't inappropriate, or sexual in nature. Even if she felt uncomfortable about it, why complain about it 3 months later? Why choose to not treat my dog, over something that I may, or may not have said, without hearing my side of it? I still don't even know what's it's about. Either way, they were gonna let my dog die, because if I wasn't able to come up with the money, or find a Vet that would see him immediately, he would have continued to go without his insulin. Not wanting me as a client is fine. Letting my dog suffer, or die, is not fine. I was even willing to pay for the insulin, over the phone and have a friend pick it up, but even that was denied. Luckily, I found another Vet, that was able to see him and they gave me a bottle of insulin to take home and scheduled the Blood Glucose Curve, for 2 weeks out. They saved my dog's life. I won't mention the Vet that saved my dog's life, not in this negative post, as I don't want anyone to be confused on who the negative post is about. I will write about, the positive experience that I had with the rescuing Vet, in a separate review. I don't usually write reviews, but this was about my dog and his life wasn't valued enough, to even get his last refill. I get defending your staff, but I did nothing wrong and still don't even know for sure, what the complaint was about. Even so, my dog could have died, because of the complaint, that if I am right, wasn't even an incident.

She said no my wife then asked if she could get the lab results from last Thursday to take to the emergency vet she rudely said I had already received the results, my wife stated no we did not, the receptionist rudely stated well maybe u should check your messages. This kind of behavior towards a client during an emergent call is unacceptable. We took our dog to another vet who was kind and compassionate. Sadly our dog passed and it was devastating to be treated like this!

I helped out at their place for a long weekend and even over that time, it was amazing to see the progress that their new rescues made. The youngest puppy went from cowering and lashing out to fully playing with the other dogs under Ian and Amy's guidance. I could not recommend adopting from them highly enough. You can also be confident in your choice since the Spandows know their rescues so well. They will walk you through the dogs' personality, temperament, and fit with your home. I've always been an avid lover of all animals, especially dogs, so when my doctor recommended I consider looking into service pups or one I can train to my needs, I was beyond excited and nervous. I wasn't actively looking too hard when I came across a posting for Little Ziggy and said "hey, why not inquire about him?" After an initial telephone conversation with Ian where we discussed Ziggy, another beautiful shepherd River and my needs, he invited me up to their beautiful home to meet "the pack". Upon arriving, I met River and Ziggy, both absolutely beautiful smart dogs, but something just wasn't quite right. Amy then brings out the most gorgeous girl I've ever seen, then known as Sally. I felt a connection almost immediately and after spending time with her and hearing her back story, said I'd be back in a few days to hang out again. On my hour and a half drive home, I couldn't stop thinking about her. There was just something in her eyes that made me realize this was my girl. As long as Amy and Ian would allow, I wanted her to be my companion for life. I headed up Friday and the connection was still there!! We made up our minds I would come pick her up on Sunday morning and start our life together, seeing how she'd mesh with my little indoor farm of two bunnies and two kitties. She jumped right into my car on Sunday like "you're not leaving me again lady!!" As soon as we got to my house, she made herself at home and made quick friends with Grimm, my two year old tuxedo cat. I cannot wait to see how her personality unfolds day after day! I cannot thank Spandow House enough. Their pet food stand was a welcome change of pace from all the other farm/bakery vendors. Don't get me wrong - I love coming here for all the human food options. But it's nice when I can find yummy treats to bring home for my dog (while also supporting a local business). The lady working the Shinto's stand couldn't have been nicer. I told her that I was looking for a long-lasting bone for my pooch to chew on (and one that won't disappear after 10 minutes). She immediately recommended their Beef Femur Bones (I've attached a photo to their biz page gallery). These Flintstone-size bones are for pets 25 lbs and up. Best of all, they're gluten/soy/corn free. So you can rest assured that your dog is getting nothing but the good stuff. The Beef Fermur bone only wound up costing me 10 ($) bones. Maybe it's a bit pricey for a dog snack. But you know what - my dog's worth it! BTW, while the nice lady rang up my purchase, she handed me a free beef jerky treat to give to my dog. It was very kind of her. Long story short, Shinto's was a great, unexpected find. I can't wait to surprise my furry friend tonight with his special treat. He'll undoubtedly be in doggy paradise.
