My son and I love come here to shopping when visiting family. We really enjoy stopping at Shoe Palace, Finish Line, Aeropostale, Tilly and Lidz. This mall is never packed and easy to navigate. They just decorated it nicely for Christmas and the place looks gorgeous. Plenty of stores for everyone available. The Bath and Body, Ross and JC Penny's are favorites of my in laws. For food we do Aunt Anne's. Delicious pretzels with great service. Mall's are dying all over the country but it's nice to see one thriving. Yuba City and the surrounding communities are lucky to have this spot. read more

Yuba Sutter Mall - Christmas 25 - Shopping Centers Near Me - Yuba City, California

There was a time when shopping malls were the place to go. And we're talking from the early-80's up until around the late-90's. Whether it was to shop, meet up with friends, grab a slice of pizza at the food court, or just window shop, having an endless amount of stores in a small area was a shoppers paradise. However, those days are long gone due to online shopping and the overall shopping experience changing over recent decades. This takes me to the "Yuba Sutter Mall"; the only mall that you'll find in the Yuba City/Marysville area. Surprisingly, this is one of the "newer" malls that opened (back in early-1990) due to the rapid population growth that was seen in that area. And to those history buffs, this place actually replaced the "Peach Tree Mall" in the nearby community of Linda. Going back to the Yuba Sutter Mall, at the time, the main anchor stores were Gottschalks, JCPenney and Sears. Since then, it has gone massive change where the anchor stores/businesses are now Hobby Lobby, Burlington, Ross, and Planet Fitness. However, this place lacks a lot of the good stores that can justify it as being above average. You won't find an Apple Store, Sephora, or H&M as those are catered to Roseville Galleria (about 45 minutes south). The food court also lacks any real good eateries as there was (surprisingly) a pupusa place, a burger joint, a Chinese fast-food place (not Panda), and an ice cream/fro-yo shop. Since I ventured from one side of the mall, I wasn't that impressed. The only time I had someone approach me was a young man wanting to shine my shoes. I see why the appeal in shopping malls has dwindled over the years; the fun factor just feels "gone". And this has been happening in malls across America since around the turn-of-the-century. With Amazon leading the forefront and online accessibility, its become tougher and tougher than merchants are having to face this new reality. With that said and done and a very lackluster experience at "Yuba Sutter Mall", I am giving them a below average two-star rating. read more

This mall has potential. It is very outdated. If that, the food court could be better to draw in more people to want to come to the mall. Pros: -Verizon & TMobile to pay your bills if you prefer walking in once a month and check out the mall and dine in at some food that the food court offers. -Planet Fitness is within walking distance -Hobby Lobby is there to personalized your home decor (if needed). Lots of seasonal items come and goes and is on sale and even more discount as the season is almost over. -Near Bank of America to do your banking needs. -Near Target. Con: -All Stores needs an update or the whole entire mall needs a whole new fresh look. TOOOOOooo many parking lots. Its a whole entire heat island effect that its even hotter outside walking. -Too many vacant slots inside the mall. Side note: This mall needs something to entertained all walk of life, maybe a movie theater catered to kids (all G-Rated movies). A Dave and Buster or Round 1 Stadium maybe? Stores are good, workers are great, security sucks. My friends and I had finished shopping and we payed for the massage chairs located in the public area. Before the time was up security came up to us and said "we are closed" we said ok and asked if we could stay until the end of the massage which had a remaining of 2 minutes. He said no in a disrespectful tone saying he couldn't give us two minutes. Personally I don't care about the massage chair or the time remaining it was more of just the way he addressed my friends an I, seemed very unprofessional for an adult in my opinion. read more

This mall is way beyond its Glory Days , in the 90s this place was the place to be, and be seen ! There used to be fashion and innovation, a great food court and a really fun arcade , now they have some VR junk and a virtual arcade (YUCK!) the quality of the mall has really gone down hill , lots of stuff for little kids to do , ball pits, trampoline jumping , but the stores in general , dated , lack luster , this was a really great mall in the 90s, but it is really showing it's age . Last week I was sadly disappointed as I went to the mall and was casually spending my day first the cleaning lady in the food court cleaned off the table in front of me and napkins left on the table that appeared unused instead of throwing them away she placed them back on a stack of napkins for other patrons to use. How does she know those were not used or things were not stuck between them? I don't want to think I'm using napkins that were possibly left on a table that someone else had their dirty hands all over. As I go about my day the nail salon I went into was another bad experience and I'll be leaving a review for that one. Washing their used towels in the sink and placing them in the towel warmer for the next guest. I'm pretty sure that's not code correct. read more

I have to say, for a city of 64,000 people, I was impressed by the mall here. I can see from the reviews that most people don't seem to be too thrilled about it, but if you're from out of town. It's not fair to compare what you have to here. This is a small town. Sure, a lot of stores are closed, but I like that they still made an effort to display items from other stores in the windows(shoes, jewelry). I was in need to get my son hair cut since his original barber was not in since the whole Covid 19 , so decided to go to upper cuts in the mall and give them a try and was very upset when I left and really took a look at my son hair it was not faded in correctly and his line all around was really bad pretty much not even a line I paid $14 and even let them keep the change smh will never be returning , that guy needs to go back to school and learn some more before he cuts another person hair if that's what he going to be doing to people heads read more

This mall is fairly mediocre. They have done some renovations recently to improve the atmosphere. However, there are still many empty store fronts. A few business to highlight in the mall would be GNC (by far my most frequented store) American Eagle usually has good selection. Also, Sears for appliances is probably one of the better places in town for selection, Ross is okay if you're in the mood to stand in line the customer service sucks, but selection is okay at this location. Now for some other store they are straight up disastrous. JC Penny is an absolute nightmare I've been in there a dozen times over the past year and it's just a mess. Feels like a garage sale. AeroPostale and Payless have bare shelves and rude employees. I hate being negative Nancy here but come on guys smile! So over all it's mediocre as I said. If you have something specific you're looking for like a phone from TMobile, or supplements from GNC it's worth it. I have been warned about this mall, and those whom have warned me were not wrong, at all. The Yuba Sutter Mall is SUPER disappointing for an avid mall shopper, such as myself. The anchor stores aren't fantastic. I didn't even think that Ross could be an anchor store, but at this mall, it is! And there's not even a Macy*s!!! The only upside is Forever 21. I have frequented Roseville & Arden's Forever 21, and I have found that Yuba City's has the best selection. (Especially their sale section!) I only go to this mall if I'm in the need for something cheap and near by. But if I'm going to do any hardcore malling, I'm driving to Arden first. And maybe Roseville. I went to the mall with my family to see Santa. The new company handling the Santa this year is a joke! They could not take a good picture if their lives depended on it. The ladies were very nice but the pictures were awful. Now for the mall itself, the parking in front at the handicap first parking spot is an accident waiting to happen. I use a cane to walk and keep my balance. It was raining and dark and after exiting my car and getting about 1 foot past the back bumper my cane went straight down into the drainage grate, luckily I didn't fall flat on my face. Why would they put a drainage grate at the end of a handicap parking spot in front of a crosswalk? Are they trying to get sued. I called today to let them know about this problem and the young lady that answered the phone said she would get the message to the manager of the mall. I asked if she wanted any information from me, like my name or number and she said no it wasn't necessary. Really, I would think that the management would want to hear about this problem not just brush it off! read more

This "mall" is just terrible ! It's old, seems dirty, and needs some major renovation. The anchor stores (JCP & Sears) do not have much selection. The Ross is messy and disorganized. The only store that is worthy is the Forever 21. If you need to get something quick then you can probably find it in this mall, but if you really want to shop do yourself a favor and go elsewhere like at Roseville Galleria or Arden Fair. read more

It's a great mall but I recommend a few things for them to improve on. First they should add more popular stores like Macy's, Forever 21, and H&M. Second, they should expand the size of the playground for children, It's way too small. read more

Driving to Sacramento, Roseville and Chico are all such a pain, which is why I'm so glad to have the Yuba Sutter Mall! It makes last minute shopping so much easier and more convenient. Horrible mall! Our car's Cadillac converter got stolen here during regular business hours. My kids and I parked by the Ross entrance around3 pm and after about an hour of shopping, we left and once I started the car, a huge motorcycle type of sound came from the engine. The next day, I had a mechanic take a look and he said the Cadillac converter got stolen which will cost around $4000 to replace. The mall is very small, dead, no major stores to shop and the worst is the food court. No good choices to pick from so u have to basically eat before or after you leave. They need to bring a Macy's here and more food vendors. read more

This mall makes Reno's puny meadowood mall look like Rodeo Dr lol! There's a bunch of stores that have shut down. They don't really have any of my favorite stores. Victoria's Secret? Buckle? Booooo there's more of those tiny, annoying kiosks than there are stores. I would say make the short jot to Roseville than waste your time here. Looks like this mall is going under anyway. I believe that the excitement of the new ownership of this mall got me to make a trip back to it to do my local Christmas shopping this year. I had not gone to this mall in some time and was excited take a trip back. I enjoyed the Sephora inside the JC Pennys and did not know one existed inside the mall ... so thankful to do girlfriend shopping there, you can believe that ... although I wasn't too excited that I got a pretzel covered with icing because I'm trying to lose my muffin-top which has spiraled out of control lately. Like the area it is in but there's​ no attraction or businesses to pull you in I could shop online for the stuff I get there . The only other reason to go the the mall is the food option but there is none just one good place and it servers coffee and pizza can't go wrong with that. Holiday shopping success! Love this mall because it's easy to park, and get in and out of. Convenience is key - it's in a great location, clean, safe and had what i needed without fail! They even had a Sephora which is one of the stores I needed to shop at. I may have grabbed one of those Aunt Annie's pretzels on the way out. Those are heaven!
