Ask the Community - Yucaipa Urgent Care

Does this clinic do covid antibody tests? If so, how much would it cost for a cash patient?

$150 for a lab based IgG COVID antibody test. Results available the next day.

    Do you have antiveniun there?

Hi Judy, sorry to hear about your presumed dilemma. Sorry we do not carry anti-venom due to the seriousness associated with its use. I recommend the ER - for snakes Loma Linda is the local preferred choice.

I cannot say enough incredible things about my experience. If I could give her a 10 star, I absolutely would .

I…read moredidn't think my situation necessarily warranted an emergency room visit, but I wanted to be evaluated and tested quickly for mosquito-borne viruses in case intervention was needed. I very rarely use urgent care facilities, so when I needed one, I turned to Yelp and was pleased with the overall reviews of All Valley Urgent Care. I called ahead and confirmed they could accept me as a walk in right away. I visited All Valley on a late Friday afternoon and was seen by a Physician Assistant within 30 minutes of my arrival. The PA listened to my breathing, checked my ears, nose, and throat, and told me they might have heard fluid in my lungs justifying a chest x-ray to rule out pneumonia in addition to standard rapid testing for flu and Covid. I knew I didn't have the flu or Covid based on my symptoms, but I didn't know about pneumonia so I agreed. They did the chest X-ray on site and all three tests returned negative. The PA told me they would send a prescription to my pharmacy for a basic albuterol inhaler to help me with my breathing and that they would also send lab orders to Quest Diagnostics for me to have my blood drawn to test for viruses the next day. The PA didn't know what blood tests to request, so the PA said they would do some research. I left the facility without any real answers. So now for the review. On the positive side, the PA was nice and even though it was clear the PA didn't have confidence in their knowledge about what tests to order for given my situation, I'll give them a pass on that because my circumstances were certainly not very common. I also give the PA credit for knowing and admitting when they needed to do research. The nurse/x-ray tech was also very nice and the facility is new and clean. On the negative side: 1. Upon checking out, I specifically asked the front desk staff if they would be sending my prescription to the pharmacy I requested. She viewed her computer and said "yes" before giving me a dismissive look. Nevertheless, the prescription for the albuterol inhaler was never sent to my pharmacy. When I called All Valley back a few days later, I was told that they couldn't find any notation in my chart indicating I was given a prescription. I was also told the PA I saw was not working that day, and that the current provider on duty wouldn't issue the prescription without evaluating me personally. The only option I was given was to come in for a new evaluation. My case was somewhat unusual and recent, so I knew the PA would remember me... I therefore asked All Valley to call the PA at home and they refused. So just to reiterate... All Valley wanted me to pay for a new visit and spend the time to come in and be reevaluated by a new provider just to fix their prescription mistake, they refused to call the PA to get the OK to send the original prescription, and all of this drama and resistance was over a basic albuterol inhaler, not some type of dangerous or highly restrictive drug. 2. The lab order the PA sent to Quest Diagnostic was insufficient to cover the possible mosquito-borne viruses present in the regions to which I traveled. Even the Quest Diagnostics staff knew this but they couldn't change the order. So, I had to reach out to my primary care doctor who sent me back to Quest Diagnostics a second time with new lab orders for much more extensive bloodwork. 3. The front office person on duty during my visit was a bit on the cold/curt side, but not unprofessional. 4. I was feeling awful when I arrived at All Valley, and I wanted to check in as quick as possible using regular paper forms. Despite this, I was directed to use a QR code posted at the front desk and to use my mobile phone to do everything including completing the medical questionnaire and taking images of my insurance card while seated in the lobby. As you might imagine, typing lots of information using my thumbs on a small phone keypad is not fun to do when you feel terrible. It is important to note, I was the only person in the waiting room during my visit and there were three workers at the front desk just chatting with each other who could have easily helped me. 5. Before I left All Valley, the PA told me he would add me to the call back list and someone would call me to check in on me the next day to see how my symptoms were progressing. That would have been a very nice touch, but no one ever called. 6. When I called several days later to discuss the prescription issue, I was simply told to return to the clinic to be evaluated again by the on-duty provider. That insistence, combined with having a chest X-ray I doubt I really needed given my symptoms, certainly makes me question whether billing is the priority. I am disappointed. This facility can do better and I won't return. Fortunately I can rely on my primary care physician to take it from here.

She is bright, compassionate, warm, experienced, and highly engaged with the children and families she serves. As a pediatric speech-language pathologist who has worked in early intervention for many years, I am particularly impressed by her clinical acumen when it comes to child development. When she refers a child to my practice, she frequently identifies subtle delays and qualitative differences earlier than most healthcare providers. She recognizes that development is more nuanced than whether a child has simply met or missed a milestone, and her referrals consistently reflect that depth of understanding. She is intellectually curious, scientifically minded, and an excellent critical thinker. She considers the evidence, but she is also willing to look beyond the obvious and think creatively when a child's presentation doesn't fit neatly into a box. She is also simply a caring, engaging human being who connects easily with children and families. I have referred many families to her over the years and do so without hesitation. Our community is fortunate to have a pediatrician of her caliber.

Yes, the building is nice, modern and clean but what really makes this place amazing is the staff that work here. I'll forever be grateful for the support and compassion they showed me during one of my hardest moments in life. Rewind: I'm actually not a local and was traveling here from out of town. I was staying in the desert for a few weeks so I brought my dog and cat down with me. In the most stressful of scenarios (traveling and being on vacation) my 13-year old cat fell ill almost immediately after we got into town. After a few days of her seeming not like herself and not eating, I brought her here to the urgent care. A few hundred dollars later and testing it was confirmed that my little one was dying (This wasn't a complete shock as she had been diagnosed with kidney disease a year before with a prognosis of only a few weeks to months to live.) You just never expect to be away from home when something like this happens.... The biggest blessing was that the doctor and techs encouraged me that I could take her home to have a couple more days to process the decision of putting her down/to see if there could be any improvements (even though it wasn't likely.) Having those extra couple days to say goodbye made the process so much more bearable and assured me that I wasn't making a rash decision... when you see your pet declining you know when it's time. I was just really grateful for how the team was so compassionate and flexible with me as I made this decision. While they were all professional, they felt like friends when I needed them most. Bringing my baby back to be euthanized on a holiday weekend was traumatic, but the team handled everything with grace and compassion. They have a special room where you get to say goodbye to your baby and it is very tranquil and lovely overall when dealing with such a tragedy. At the very minimum you would hope for a safe space when enduring something so difficult and they definitely created that....Again the team couldn't have been lovelier. They see these kinds of things every day, but they made me feel like I mattered. The whole process was expensive, but at the end of the day I would do anything for my animals so it just comes with the territory. Looking back, it was worth every penny to make an informed and educated decision and with how well everything was handled from start to finish that I'm so grateful for this team. I hope you find yourself here under less painful circumstances, but I am here to say that this is an amazing urgent care and the staff are A+.

I brought my French Bulldog, Otis, to urgent care because he had been experiencing decreased activity, weakness, and changes in behavior that were concerning to me. Upon arrival, he was panting heavily. As a French Bulldog owner, I understand that panting can be alarming, but Otis frequently becomes worked up in the car, during travel, and in unfamiliar environments, especially during extreme heat. Before my pet's history was fully discussed or I was even checked in, staff immediately focused on the panting and began discussing sedation and emergency concerns. I was initially told about a medication costing approximately $600. Later, the veterinarian explained a different medication was needed so he could examine Otis, and I agreed to those charges. After Otis was taken to the treatment area, I waited for updates. Instead of receiving information about his condition, I was approached multiple times regarding financing options and credit applications. At that point, I still had not received any explanation of what the veterinarian had found, what his physical examination showed, or what the next steps would be. Eventually I was presented with an estimate of approximately $2,000. When I asked what had been found on examination and whether the veterinarian would discuss his assessment with me, I was told that nothing could be determined without additional laboratory work and X-rays. I specifically asked if the veterinarian would return to explain his clinical impressions or provide any guidance regarding the symptoms that brought me in, and I was told no. What disappointed me most was not the estimate itself. Veterinary medicine is expensive, and diagnostic testing has value. My concern is that I left without any meaningful discussion of the problem I brought Otis in for. The visit became entirely focused on diagnostics and financing before I ever received an explanation of what the veterinarian thought might be going on. As a pet owner, I understand that a diagnosis cannot always be made without testing. However, I believe clients deserve clear communication, a discussion of examination findings, and an opportunity to understand the veterinarian's concerns before being asked to make major financial decisions. I left feeling like the primary focus was obtaining approval for diagnostics rather than helping me understand my dog's condition. After spending nearly $300, I still did not have answers regarding the symptoms that prompted the visit in the first place. I hope this feedback helps improve communication with future clients, particularly those who are scared, trying to do the right thing for their pets, and working within real financial limitations.
