Nice find for lunch specials! This lovely restaurant has very flavorful food! Went yesterday for lunch and was pleased. They serve a basket of chips and salsa and they were tasty. There was salt sprinkled on so I would request that not be done next time. I had arroz con pollo luncheon special. It has some salad, refried beans, and a large amount of flavored rice with chunks if chicken mixed in. I picked out the chicken but there was too much rice. Ordered takeout from Yucatán Mexican Grill in Oceanside and I'm seriously impressed. The food was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and tasted like it was made with real care -- not your typical takeout at all. The servers were incredibly friendly and the restaurant was immaculate. Everything traveled really well and was still hot when we got home. Portions were generous, and every single dish we ordered was delicious (which almost never happens with takeout!). You can tell they use quality ingredients and know what they're doing. This is definitely going to be a go-to spot for us. Highly recommend if you're in the area! read more

My wife and I were there recently and the good points are the service was attentive, accommodating, and abundant. They really did a great job. The dining room area is nice. The bar area is dated and needs work. Both my wife and I felt our food was a five out of 10. Was disappointed that my entrée came with nothing. No rice no beans nothing. Sangria was expensive. Visit Date: January 9, 2026 I came to Yucatan with a few of my friends for dinner. I got the birria tacos which were way better than birria tacos I had previously bought off a taco truck. The dip and the tacos and the fixings and the meat for the birria tacos were all an incredible mix of taco goodness. I got a cup of coffee which was also very good. The atmosphere of the restaurant was awesome I felt like I was in Mexico it was really cool. The service and the staff were great. They let us stay at our table for a long time after we were done eating to hang out. I would come here again this is a great place! read more

Very good mexican food, I believe there are new owners. The put Mariscada on the menu which we good but the clams were so small I couldn't find a single one in my dish, all the other dishes were great! Guac was some of the best we have had. Service people were very nice but overwhelmed so it was slow. But we'll be back! read more

Went here for the first time. Really cute place, super friendly service. Chips and salsa were promptly served, and were decent. Jalapeño poppers were run of the mill frozen fried, nothing special. I ordered the chimichanga and it was served as 3 mini chimis, which is fine. Presentation was lovely, however the chicken was bland, almost like someone forgot to season it. My husband got the flautas and felt the same way, but he said the chicken was dry, which mine wasn't. Rice and beans were good. Service was a little slow, but again, very lovely server. I don't expect my Mexican food spicy like Tex mex, but I expect flavor. Looking at the other reviews, maybe it was an off day? Prices were reasonable. Four stars is for the lovely server and the atmosphere. read more

Went for our first time since it changed names. The food was excellent. The service was great. Had friends not recommended this restaurant I never would have tried it again not knowing it was a different owner. The last time we were there under the old ownership it was horrible. One recommendation is that it should be better lit up on the outside to attract more passerby's. Very easy to pass right by. read more

Fairly new. While the service was attentive the menu was very typical Mexican. That being said I was disappointed to see items like Caesar Salad, fried Calamari,Wings, Ribeye Steak and Chicken Francese on the menu. Since we were there for Mexican food we had tacos and fajitas. They were good choices. The place is new and lacked atmosphere and decor. No liquor license so no margaritas this visit. This place is a new local treasure!! The entire staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. The food was excellent. Some of the best nachos I have had. Perfectly tender calamari, with very tasty dipping sauces. I had the skirt steak fajitas; the meat was great, and the vegetables were perfectly cooked. The place is very nicely decorated and festive. It was Tuesday Margherita for $4.95, so we headed here. I'm not a margherita drinker, but these were pretty good. Nice place, elegant, I was expecting a take-out vibe, was pleasantly surprised. Nice staff. I had the 3 enchilada plate, they screwed up and rather than the red sauce I asked for it was the green. They were still excellant, about the best enchiladas I've had at any local spot. Our family of 4 had a wonderful meal. we ordered the the family sampler as an appetizer and it was perfect and delicious. Our entrees included the Burria Tacos, Chorizo Burrito, cheese quesadilla and Taco salad. Everything was made fresh and delicious The service was Impeccable.
