Favorite take out spot in the area. It is a small take out place. Friendly staff. The food comes out fresh, made to order and fast. Their tortas always hit the spot. We've tried about every single one st this rate. They are all fantastic. Tacos are authentic. Delicious! You have to order their carne asada fries!! So freaking good!!! It's enough to be a meal on its own. The horchata drink is a must have each visit. For the most part the food is pretty consistent, always good, besides the churros. I love churros, so we always order them, but half the time they are hard and stale. But when they aren't disappointing, they do hit the spot, so I'll chance it everytime haha. read more

Is this the best fast-Mexican spot? No. But comparing to other options in the area it's good. If you know Fat Boy's Burrito, or Bad Boy Burrito, this is definitely similar. I had a bowl with carne asada (double meat). The portion was massive. I also had the al pastor fries but the fries were definitely not fully cooked. The sauce and meat was good though. This was a delicious authentic Mexican restaurant with plenty of options, fast service, a great ambience, and a cute place in general! I ordered 2 tacos al pastor and 1 shrimp taco, all which were perfect! My boyfriend ordered a carne asada burrito which was absolutely delicious! We also shared a churro which comes in 3 pieces with chocolate sauce on top. Also, it is a very fair price point, I believe it came out to about $30 for both our meals (including a soda, and not the churros, which we ordered later). The food is delicious and authentic no Americanized food at this location Mexican flavors and good food all around. The service is very nice they truly enjoy their job and you can see it. I had lunch at one of the couple of tables at La Taqueria tables today. What I noticed immediately was the menu painted on the wall. No prices listed at all. Convenient for changing them at a moment's notice, or k look ack thereof. I found out what my bowl cost when I paid for it. A bottle of water cost about $4. Really. Just a typical smaller midsize bottle. Crazy. My bowl was $11.25. The bowl was a lot of food. A lot of meat and black beans and less yellow rice and crema and guacamole and even less shredded lettuce. It was filling, but pretty tasteless I thought. One of the kitchen staff wore no gloves. That's pretty unsanitary, especially these days. My friend's tacos were ok, fries were underdone. Nothing to return for here. My friend's tacos were chicken, if that matters. Food next door at Louisiana Joe's is worth going for. Try your luck if you want to, but I won't be returning for tacos. read more
