Roast beef was good, the roll tasted like it was store bought the day before and the au jus was a little on the bland side. French onion soup was just okay. I tasted a few bites of an eggs Benedict that someone else in my party ordered and that was very average as well. Home fries were a little dry and the hollandaise sauce was missing that "pop" I was looking for. The steak tidbits (which was sliced London broil) was alright but again, the hero bread it was served on tasted like it came out of a plastic bag from the grocery store and was possibly a day old (or more). The ambience of the restaurant was pretty cool and it had a rustic vibe to it. We had 2 waitresses and they were both very pleasant and attentive with drink refills and making sure we were taken care of. Overall, I left there somewhat underwhelmed. My 3 star rating is for the entire dining experience and if it wasn't for the really good service we received, I would rate them a little lower.

The food, however, was a bit of a mixed experience. The French onion soup was tasty on its own, but I was disappointed that it was topped with melted mozzarella instead of Gruyère cheese. Without the traditional Gruyère, it really feels more like onion soup than a classic French onion soup. The bread they bring to the table at the beginning was actually very good. Unfortunately, the fried calamari and the cauliflower crust pizza both tasted like frozen food you might buy at a supermarket. They reminded me of something from Trader Joe's rather than freshly made dishes. On the positive side, the Prosecco was excellent -- cold, bubbly, and exactly how it should be. Would I come back? Probably not. If the food tastes like frozen dishes, I could easily have that at home. That said, the total bill was around $60, so the price was reasonable and I can't be too upset about it. Was it worth trying? Yes. Would I return? Probably not -- but I'm glad I gave it a shot.

This quaint and cozy establishment served us fresh food and excellent service! From the Mother's Day menu we both chose the shrimp/clam over linguine with white wine/garlic/oil. A glass of wine for me and Signature Cocktail Lemonade Refresher for him. We shared a mixed berry sorbet for dessert. The placed was packed with other mothers and their families celebrating the day. Barbara our server was friendly and efficient. We never felt crowded or rushed. The noise level was muted, we did not have to shout at each other to be heard. Louisiana joes looks like a small sandwich shop from the outside but inside it is a flavor factory. The staff was so warm and welcoming and were so helpful. We tried the pork sandwich, jambalaya and the Mac and cheese. There are so many great menu options, it was hard to choose. The jambalaya features shrimp, chicken and sausage. So flavorful and the portion size was excellent for the price. The pork sandwich was delicious - pork was super tender. But the star of the show - the Mac and cheese. We are Mac and cheese lovers and try it everywhere. Well congrats, Louisiana joes. You've officially taken the top spot for cheesy deliciousness. I just regret that we didn't add a protein. I wish they were open daily and had longer hours but I also love that they're not because the staff can have lives outside of work. Cannot wait to go back and try more!!!

The first time I went here, I ordered their shrimp and grits. Simply put, it's delicious. I've been back a couple times just for that. On this visit, based off another Yelpers review, I decided to give the grilled cheese with the beef brisket a try. Sandwiched between two toasted and I want to say buttered (don't quote me on this) brioche sliced breads with Provolone cheese melted on the bottom half and cheddar oozing out on the top half is the perfectly tender and healthy serving of seasoned beef brisket. I had to eat it as soon as I got it to savor in the moment and experience it in its true form. Hot and cheesy. The two cheeses brought the sandwich together nicely creating a savory dance on your tongue. The cheese literally oozes out with eat bite. As good as it was, I know it will not be a frequent meal to grace my belly, because personally, it's just too much meat *for me*. Considering this, I ate the whole sandwich in one sitting. I'm not usually a brisket person, but I was willing to give this one a try. Cheese, meat, and bread, sign me up. It is a lot to eat as far as the meat is concerned, so if you're not a crazy meat eater, don't be surprised if you only have room to eat half if not one full slice. I also wanted to try their corn nuggets, which looks like fried corn bread but rolled into a ball, but they didn't have it that day. I left feeling a little deflated at that, but my belly was full. I doubt whether I would have been able to eat that along with my shrimp and grits. We chose to sit at the bar, where our bartender, Michaela, was friendly, knowledgeable, and very accommodating. She recommended the jerk chicken quesadilla and the blackened fish tacos, and both turned out to be excellent choices. Before ordering, we enjoyed their award-winning margaritas, which certainly lived up to the hype. Following Michaela's recommendations proved to be the right decision, as every dish was flavorful and perfectly prepared. As we finished our meal, we found ourselves unable to decide whether The Bungalow was "really very good" or "very really good." Either way, everything we tried was delicious.
