i have been going to Yudins since i was using my allowance to buy audio tapes. now, i go there to buy all my household appliance as does the rest of my family for their homes. Very helpful. They saved me a bunch of money last year when the stove in my new house wasnt working. i was all set to pay a few hundred dollars to have it repaired but they looked it up in their computer and found out the old owners did have extended warranty on oven. read more

Bought a full kitchen's worth of high end appliances from them (stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, vent fan, microwave) based upon a recommendation. Pricing was comparable to others. The microwave I ordered unfortunately did not fit the cabinet opening (My error). Yudin's would not replace the microwave with one that would fit as I would have expected from any service oriented store under the circumstances. Based upon other reviews posted, Yudin's poor after sale service is not uncommon. I would avoid doing business with them and stick with either big box stores or those with better customer service reputations. read more

Wow. I went in there last week looking to replace my broken microwave. I spent maybe 30 seconds in the store. I witnessed another customer being given the absolute worst customer care I have ever seen by someone who i can only assume was the owner- based on some of these other reviews. I literally turned right back around out the door. (Got a great Kenmore microwave for a pretty good price, so it all actually turned out pretty well for me.) I wasn't going to post (this is actually my first post ever) until I saw these other reviews sharing such similar experiences. I just don't have patience for a customer relationship like that. I've been screwed too many times before. I don't know what their products are like but i highly advise against shopping here just based on their personality. **UPDATE**--it's amazing to me that you think your company who sold me a defective appliance has nothing to do with this situation. in fact, the only thing yudins handled was the sale of a defective appliance. your comment 'none of this has to do with yudins' would more appropriately apply to the resolution of the problem. after taking matters into my own hands, and with no support from yudins other than to viciously and aggressively attack my yelp review, the resolution was achieved between me, LG, and the repair facility. I stand by my review that your establishment sold me a defective appliance and after the fact offered zero in the way of solutions. answering your question, I did receive some of the money back from LG and the repair facility but not all. this again was with zero support from yudins. read more

VERY DISAPPOINTED IN YUDINS CUSTOMER SERVICE! I purchased over $40,000 In appliance from Josh which was delivered and installed by one of their installers. The installer did not install the appliance the proper way. I've been patiently waiting for Yudins to take care of this issue now for exactly 1 year since the install. I keep getting the run around,.."I will speak to the manager" ,I will get this issue taken care of asap" . Nothing has been done yet, I finally called back today and made it clear to josh that i was fed up and that i needed to speak to a manager, he promised again that a manager would call me back to resolve this issue. I get a call back from Josh stating that now i have to pay the installers to come back and fix the issue. Are you kidding me, You made wait for 1 Year to tell me this? Why should i absorb the cost of something that was done by their installer? unbelievable!! ** Please also read my respond to the owner's below. (We all do make mistakes) The first time i called Josh about this he agreed with me that the installers forgot to open the valve and he would have it taken care of it. I was never told anything about the shut off valve being in the wrong place nor my house not having water. So please don't throw sand in my eyes or to the people online trying to make a solid decision about purchasing from your company or not. We have purchased appliances for two homes from this store. We were pleased with the knowledgeable staff. The prices were decent, the deliveries were timely and when we had an issue with a dishwasher nearly a year after the purchase date they went to bat for us getting Jenn-Air to honor a warranty issue. Yudin's did a great job when it came to purchasing the appliances for my kitchen renovation. My sales person, Bob, was extremely knowledgeable of the products and did everything within his capabilities to make my experience go as smooth as possible. What most people do not understand is these venders are at the mercy of the manufacturers as well as the trucking services. When there was a problem their customer service was fantastic. I have always been a repeat customer because I have always been given good advice by people who knew the product. There was never 'talking up' to a more expensive item that I did not need. Went there to spend thousands of dollars on many appliances. The salesman was so nice, but one of the owners was so incredibly rude that I was astounded. Best prices, worst customer service ever. Purchased a grill that was defective when delivered. Could not turn off gas, afraid to use asked for replacement grill. They referred me to the manufacturer. I needed to wait 1 1/2 weeks for service. Worked for one week same problem. Contacted mfg for replacement no satisfaction. it is now 30 days past purchase date contacted credit card company. They are fighting on my behalf no credit issued. Just received phone call from Mrs. Yudin who accused me of trying to receive duplicate credits for a grill that is dangerous to use. I have never been spoken to so rudely and will NEVER purchase another item from this comoany. read more

One day after delivery, our new clothes dryer stopped heating. After some back and forth, it was agreed that a new dryer was in order. Within a week the defective model was gone and a new dryer was installed. Yudin's prices are exceptional and our product issue was resolved. read more

Found this store on line and have never even set foot in the place but I ordered my washing machine from them over the phone and they have been an absolute pleasure. Reminds me of the times when customer service mattered. The phone was answered by Josh and he was very knowledgeable about the Speed Queen washer I requested. The price was reasonable and included installation and pick up of the old machine. Unfortunately the Speed Queen was back ordered due to high demand but Josh and Peggy stayed on top of alerting me about the delay and offering other options. An absolute joy to work with them. Not that I want to need another appliance soon but when I do, I'm happy to have Yudin's to go to. read more

Have dealt with Yudins for twenty years ( fridge hood oven range etc..) and they have always steered me in right direction. The staff are extremely knowledgable . When using the extended warranty on our washer they were helpful in getting the service call we sorely needed. I had another great shopping experience at Yudins in Wyckoff. I like to shop locally to support our neighborhood businesses. This time my 28 year old refrigerator finally went. Mrs. Yudin assisted in a beautiful Hotpoint side by side, I love it! Arranged delivery within a little more than 12 hours with a hookup for the ice maker.The delivery men, Conrad and John, again were experts in moving in the fridge through my doorways, they are amazing. These guys are extremely knowledgeable. They knew everything about the features of the various brands and models. I purchased a dishwasher, stove, microwave and refrigerator. They were able to offer guidance on which models and brands would work best in my kitchen. Their prices are competitive but their service is not exactly competitive, it's BETTER! If you are in the market for any home appliances, you should definitely stop in. Just be prepared for fabulous prices, fabulous selection and fabulous service! read more

Yudin's is a mom-and-pop store founded in 1935 and still run by the same family, still located on a Main Street in the shopping district of a small town - the kind of store that I prefer to the big-box places out on the highways that are operated by giant impersonal corporations that have way too much power. My latest experience at Yudin's was as pleasant as ever. The store (in Wyckoff) was clean, the merchandise dusted. The music was soft and unobtrusive, so customers were free to think their own thoughts. (Beware of stores with loud music! They're trying to foster impulse-buying.) The selection was extensive and the prices reasonable. The fellow who helped me was knowledgeable and did not hover. My only reservation: no refunds. So choose wisely the first time, and I'm sure you'll be pleased with Yudin's. read more

I have bought many Appliances from Yudin's. They provide Excellent customer service. I'm very bad at paperwork and they can always provide me with the purchase date, copy of invoice,and link to tech/ repair services if need be. When I needed a new refrigerator and freezer and they were able to hook me up with the best size and model at the best price. When I needed a new oven they were able to work within my budget to find me the model with all the features that I needed at the best price. They are familiar with the rebates and will tell you about them when you are looking to purchase, so you can make a good price comparison. They are also familiar with all the special features ( for example sabbath mode) and can tell you which oven, refrigerator, etc has the best of these special features and which models claim to have these features but they are actually unworkable. I trust them and will continue to shop here for all my appliance needs! read more

I have never written a review before, but felt compelled to tell folks about my terrible experience with Yudins. Walked in to the store, spent $25,000 in the matter of about an hour on 5 appliances and they were very nice. When I needed a credit because something did not get delivered the sales person told me that he would call me back and issue the credit when he had time. HE NEVER CALLED ME BACK. The dishwasher that I ordered, and they sent the installed to measure, did not fit when they delivered it. They sent me a different one that was much smaller than the one I had originally ordered. The sales person did not want to be bothered. I called the owner who was going to get back to me after she spoke with the sales rep. SHE NEVER CALLED ME BACK. I called again and she told me the rep couldn't do anything. I asked for a person at the manufacturer. She said she would call me back. SHE NEVER CALLED ME BACK. Bottom line, they were very quick to take my $25,000 and when I needed help, they didn't want to be bothered. read more
