DO NOT GO HERE! Yue Chinese in South Beach is a major trap serving overpriced pre-fabricated food backed by predatory tipping practices and rude service. We came in with a group of 4. Average dish prices were around $30, which we didn't mind paying IF the food was cooked fresh. Sadly, almost everything tasted like it came out of a frozen bag: Pork Soup Dumplings: Lukewarm on arrival, skin was thick yet broke apart easily, no broth whatsoever inside, and the meat smelled off. Sichuan Spicy Chicken: Not real Laziji. They literally used cheap, fast-food-style chicken nuggets and fried them up. Boiled Beef: Clearly a pre-packaged frozen meal just reheated and brought to the table. Crab Meat Tofu: Oversalted and sitting in a puddle of water. To make matters worse, they added a 20% automatic gratuity onto our bill without any notice on the menu. Mind you, our server literally ignored us the entire night--we didn't get a single water refill. When we brought up the mandatory tip and lack of service, we were met with pure attitude: "It's like this everywhere around here, take it or leave it." My friend and I were walking down Espanola Way looking for another appetizer/dinner option and saw this place and decided to try it out. First off, it was not busy at all and service was very slow. We ordered pork soup dumplings, shrimp dumplings, and beef dumplings. The shrimp dumplings were the best, the others were just okay. The pork soup dumplings did not have enough soup and the skins were dry. The beef ones were also a little dry but not too bad. It took a while to get the check. If you want Chinese food, it's a fine option, but there are better places in the area. read more

We came for happy hour, where the list of dumplings (and everything on the hh menu for that matter) for $5.95 is plentiful, and man was everything excellent. If you want to try a truly unique dumpling, you have to try the black truffle and beef one. It's stunning to look at, with gold glittered all over the top. And it was so juicy. In fact, every dumpling was juicy and luscious. If we had bigger appetites I would've tried everything on the hh menu. We needed a place to start my annual week-long birthday celebration. I had read about this new place in the neighborhood. The $5.95 lunchtime dim sum attracted us. It's a small restaurant, with additional sidewalk tables. It's utterly beautiful with amazing embroidered panels. Service as a bit slow, but considering only one waitress was helping 2 large parties and 3 small tables, it was great; she was most helpful and nice. The dim sum menu is small, but delicious. We had shrimp dumplings, crab and shrimp sui mai, beef soup dumplings, and spring rolls. I would not order the spring rolls again, they are good, but not to my taste. I expected more liquid in the soup dumplings, but they were delicious. I also had the treat of the lichee cocktail. Real lichee flavor, delicious. I mentioned we were celebrating my milestone and they brought out a huge bowl of ice cream, fruit and who knows what else. It was outstanding and delicious. Thank you. What an amazing experience. Loved the atmosphere and the menu. Excellent service too. 100% loved the spicy lamb dish recommended by a fellow patron. It looked like beef but was so tender and flavorful! Excellent fried rice, too. We also tried an off the menu item called spicy chicken but that got mixed reviews at our table since it didnt have a sauce. It was crispy and similar to salt and pepper flavor. I liked it. This place was everything I wanted it to be. Coming from NYC, I was worried about the Chinese food scene here, but so glad I found this place. Truely authentic and delicious. Has the true Sichuan flavors. The beef soup in chili oil was the star of the show. It was absolutely amazing. Their dim sum happy hour was also great with many choices. We also got the kung pao chicken which was solid and the beef lo mien which was good. It also has the most unique decor, with comfortable seats and a very chic aesthetic. We had an absolutely phenomenal experience at Yue. What an incredible meal from Northern inspired Chinese dishes. The ambiance of the restaurant is beautiful and a vibe itself. The service is kind and on point. Everything we tried was unique and so flavorful. The crab and pork soup dumplings were a wonderful start, followed by the ribs that were fall off the bone tasty. The Sichuan beef in chili oil with noodles was outstanding! The half portion of Peking duck was this perfect and so flavorful. Being from California, I usually get disappointed when I go out of state because the food just doesn't taste the same especially Chinese food. Since we were craving Chinese food we decided to give this place a try and we were not disappointed at all. The server was very attentive and friendly with great recommendations and the dishes we ordered were delicious. We had the black pepper beef with mango and the glazed lychee walnut shrimp. The flavors were phenomenal and tasted just perfect. The soup dumplings were also very flavorful although, I wish the spicy wonton would be spicier bc I really did not taste any spice. I'm so happy I found Yue! I appreciate authentic Chinese flavors. The mapo tofu was my favorite. I just couldn't stop eating it! The black truffle dumplings and pork and shrimp dumplings were juicy and flavorful. The spicy fish soup really took me by surprise! Burst of spicy and tender fish. I was genuinely excited to try Yue Chinese on Española Way. Being from California, I've been hoping to find a spot in Miami that could give me a taste of home--but unfortunately, this wasn't even close. To start on a positive note: the white rice was good. But everything else left me disappointed. We ordered the walnut shrimp, and to my surprise it came with what tasted like a chocolate-like sauce. The batter was extremely heavy, and the sauce itself was bland, making the whole dish feel unbalanced and overly sweet in an odd way. We also tried the seafood lo mein, which should have been a straightforward, reliable choice. We asked for it spicy per our waiter's recommendation, but it wasn't spicy at all--just noticeably salty, and the flavors never really came together. Finally, we sampled a couple of dumplings--the shrimp dumpling and the taro. Sadly, neither had the freshness or texture you'd hope for in good dim sum, and both fell flat. I rarely write negative reviews because I know how much goes into running a restaurant, but this visit left me truly disappointed. As locals, we have been to Yue several times and are so happy to have a good Chinese restaurant open here! It gets better and better with each visit. The dumplings on the "all day happy hour" list, are excellent. Four of us shared the crispy chicken with ginger and the pork tenderloin with osmanthus flower honey but we especially loved the shrimp with creamy walnut sauce and the soup-like Sichuan fish filet, Chinese cabbage and glass noodles in chili broth (spicy). All courses were a generous size. It was fun sitting outside and watching the action on lively Espanola Way (if outside is important to you, book ahead to make sure) -- but the inside is very pretty! read more

The place has been relatively new being open just 6 months (in July 2025). The place has inside and outside seating area which is right in Espaniola way. The interior is nice, and fancy. As for the food, their Peking Duck and beef and truffle dumplings were very good. The rest of the food items was jyst okay. Chinese food was my least favorite cuisine. It was chop suey and fried rice and always disgusted my palate. New place on Espanola Way has turned that around. The owners are from Beijing. Stepping into Yue Chinese feels like the China I can only imagine. Beautiful decor. That spot on Espanola and Drexel is charming also from the outside with it's huge windows looking out to the circle. I've been twice for lunch and ordered more to eat at home. Went to dinner with a friend. Point--I've tried many dishes and all are to die for. Four pieces of Dim Sum (various choices) are $5 during all-day happy hour. Beverages I've never had before are iced teas; unique refreshing flavors new to me and boba drinks. The man and wife owners are friendly and charming. She told me they are so happy to be here after having restaurants in NYC. She said everyone is so friendly, happy and having fun.
