There are tons of record covers, vintage toys and rock and roll memorabilia - great vibe. In the back is the theatre space with tables for guests so they can drink and dine throughout the show. They've got it down to a science. Wait staff take orders before and during the show and restock drinks and even check you out / close your tab before the show ends. A few of us shared chicken quesadillas and double chicken wings with 2 kinds of sauce which were all very good. They've got made to order cocktails, beer and cider as well as canned cocktails. I heard on amateur night the wings are half off. A few of my friends have taken the classes and really enjoyed them. I've enjoyed seeing them and their classmates nail their class shows. All of the comedians I've seen at Levity have been very funny in they own unique way. The Día de los Muertos show tonight was a beautiful night of music, storytelling, comedy and remembering and honoring our lost loved ones. Edith Chavez hosted and curated the evening. All of the performers and the music was heartfelt and genuine. Looking forward to the next show / event!

Located in what used to be a school, there are light refreshments available (pizza, popcorn, drinks, candy) setup in the hallway. The show takes place in a school auditorium. It was a sold out show so it was packed. With auditorium seating, it was kinda tight and everyone had to get up from their seats if anyone needed to get out, so I wasn't a huge fan of this for a comedy show. Also, there were not enough bathrooms for the amount of people, but they extended intermission until everyone could go (which was nice). However tickets were cheap and I appreciated that they don't have a 2 item minimum policy like other venues do. So I would probably go back.

From what we saw the show was great, the illusions were incredible and unlike cases where the tricks are obvious, there were some amazing illusions that had us questioning how that was possible. Two magicians performed and it was very cool to watch. My husband was even able to participate before we left. The one downside I would note is that this is a child friendly show, which isn't a problem, except you may be put at a table with young children. When sat we were put next to each other causing a party of five to be across from us, they sat the young children at the end of the table, so they could see understandably, but they sat parents down at the opposite end. The family was very respectful, but if you are not a children person, this may not be the environment for you. Over all great show! I wish I wasn't exhausted and could have stayed for the whole thing!

Note: If you have a WEGO pass, it's off the blue line by the Howard Johnson's stop. We decided to give it some time, and we waited until almost midnight, but only three or four small groups filtered in (and 75% of them went over to the Latin-inspired club on the other side). The music was great, and exactly what you'd expect from a 70s/80s club, but there was no one to dance to it. The drinks weren't cheap, but again, if there would have been a crowd to dance, it would be a price worth paying. Same goes for the cover charge - we would have gladly paid to join the party had there been one. We felt like we found the holy grail in our quest to find a perfect 80s dance club based on the looks, but like the grail, maybe the most of us Gen Xers are becoming relics who are too old to go out and enjoy this amazing space that harkens back to our prime young adult years.
