Yuki's has quickly become a favorite when in the area for pastries and coffees. The space is open with a few tables and spots to sit, especially outside in the warmer weather, the coffees are strong and I've yet to have a bad latte, and the pastries are delicious! Love that there is a spot for fantastic Israeli treats in Hoboken, from rugelach to borek, everything is just so good. When visiting friends in the area, this has become my go to spot to make a box of treats to bring over. This spot is such a treat if you want something sweet or savory. Their coffee is very smooth and no bitter or sourness. All of their pastries look so good and each one ive tried has NOT disappointed. If you get the focaccia make sure to warm it up so the edges are crispy. I also recommend their homemade cookies, super soft and not overly sweet. Their tea cake and berries also surprised me. I happened to see on social media that Yuki's had a new pumpkin variety of their famed babka, and I knew I simply had to try it. I adore seasonal treats, especially for the Fall, so I headed there immediately to buy one. The staff at the bright and sunny shop was very friendly, as usual, which enhanced the experience. I asked them how to store the dessert, which I was not sharing with family until the following day. Their response about it being shelf-stable was accurate, because it was still very soft when I did finally cut it. The flaky crust had been ribboned with thin layers of pumpkin filling, winter spices, and pumpkin seeds. It was delicious and not too sweet, but it would have been better with more pumpkin puree. While I think their Triple Chocolate Babka is still my favorite, the Pumpkin version was still very enjoyable! read more

First time here & it won't be the last! I came in initially just for a caffeinated beverage and a snack, leftover with a little more! I had the iced cappuccino which was smooth and deliciously strong. I had the spinach and cheese Turkish borek - my goodness it was so delicious! They warmed it up for me and I couldn't stop eating it! My son had the spearmint lemonade and loved it. I took a sip of it and agreed. It was not too sweet or sour but a nice subtle mint lemonade - so delicious for a hot day! I also picked up the pita bread which felt so soft and looked so delicious! I had it the next morning for breakfast and it was just so tasty and fresh. The service was great, the woman at the counter was friendly and helped me pick out a great snack, I will come back and try her favorite next time. I was a bit disappointed by this cafe. They had an array of options and everything looked really delicious. It unfortunately just fell a bit flat for me. For starters, they don't have any coffee flavors. I get being traditional but at that point, what's the point of even serving iced coffee. I was not expecting super unique flavors, but a vanilla latte would have been nice. I don't think I have ever been to a coffee shop without any flavors. I also got a few pastries, including the borek and a chocolate one. They were good but nothing special. They were all out of the pistachio croissants but judging from the online pictures that one looks really yummy. read more

I work 2 doors down on Friday so I wanted a cappuccino and walked in. The place is warm and cozy, the service was great and the staff made me feel welcome. The cappuccino was excellent and the presentation was the same. I also had a piece of zucchini bread that was very good. I will return here for sure! read more

It has a lot of great bakery bread options too but if you're more the cookie, cupcake, muffin type like me, you might not find what you're looking for. They also don't have flavor syrups for lattes. Pastries on pastries! The tradition donut was jelly filled, just a smudge short of jelly, and the spinach pastry wasn't warmed quite enough. The latte was foamed slightly under enough. Just a little bit of things off of perfection but we still really enjoyed our food and drinks here! read more

Located close to the 9th st light rail station, this is an Israeli cafe place which is hardly 2 blocks away. The cafe seems to be bustling in the morning with a huge footfall of customers whereas the staff are pretty efficient to keep up with the waiting line. The staff I must say are one of the friendliest ones I have come across here, be it with greeting their customer along with properly delivering the order with good etiquettes. Whereas the vibe of the place is pretty vibrant! I ordered Mocha and pistachio croissants and both were good. The Mocha though wasn't hot as expected but it had a great chocolate flavor to it. The pistachio croissant is something I tried for the first time, it was a bit sweeter than expected but was a pretty interesting one! The flavor of the pistachio was delicious too. I'll be happy to come here often and try out more of their products as they seem to be served pretty fresh! read more

Great place, their pastries are out of this world. It seems to be a busy place, never crowded but busy in and out, sometimes service is fast and not so kind. Although I can understand the tension they should be all trying to be more friendly, not all but sometimes the feeling is pay and get outta here, here comes the next one kinda attitude. Stumbled upon this coffee shop while in the neighborhood and thought it looked so cute that I had to stop in! There was one male barista there who was super friendly and gave me recommendations on what I should get to bring home. I ended up ordering the rugelach and loved it! Wow! I live right around the corner. I never knew this was here until I was google searching a bakery to find a a treat for a friend. The only babka left was a cinnamon streusel. I took it to Kansas City and my friend loved it! So I went back today to get the same one for me and my hubs for B day dessert. It was so delicious. Not too sweet. I recently moved nearby the Monroe Center and have been excited to try Yuki's bakery. I stopped by Sunday morning to pick up some baked goods for a friend's birthday. I decided on the triple chocolate babka ($18) and a pack of 5 chocolate rugelach ($10) for my friend. I also purchased a croissant bread pudding slice ($5.25) to bring home for my boyfriend. The inside of the bakery is bright and clean. They have a small table inside with a couple seats but there is no other seating indoor/outdoor, at least at the time I went. I didn't purchase any coffee since I was in a hurry. The lady who checked me out was a little curt. My bf said the bread pudding slice was yummy - he heated it up a little bit before eating. I tried one of the rugelach and it was okay. My friend thought the babka was good but a little too dry (consistent with other reviews on here). I do feel the prices are a little high. The babka at Breads Bakery is delicious and their loaves are a couple bucks cheaper. Their website menu also has the wrong prices. Not sure when the last time was that they updated their website buy online it says croissants are $3.50 but a plain one in the store is $4. The croissant bread pudding says 3.50 online and I paid $5.25. The Babka and rugelach pack were each $2 more in the store than their website menu says. They should really update their online menu with the current pricing or remove pricing all together. read more

Had high hopes considering the solid 4.5 stars but I got an order of pastries from a delivery app and sadly everything had an after taste of oil the berry cake was stale and tastes oily, the carrot cake slice was dry and so was the coocnht poppy seed. read more

Stopped by Monday afternoon and was greeted so nicely by a beautiful selection of homemade treats and a very nice young girl behind the counter. I was specifically there to try the chocolate rugelach ($2) and it did not disappoint! Delicious! I also was recommended to try the Tea cake with berries ($4.50)- I'm so sad to say it wasn't my fav, I ended up throwing most of that away although beautiful to look at it was very dry. Next time I think I'll go with bread pudding slice, looked delicious! I'm looking forward to going back and trying other items! So glad to have this bakery in the area! read more

Today I took a walk with my grandson and found this inviting bakery and cafe. I ordered a cold brew coffee and a small cheese boreka. Both were delicious m. I noticed the challahs, looking beautiful! I thought the price was somewhat high. After I left, I thought about the artisan quality of the store and goods. I came back at closing at purchased a challah and babka. The babka was expensive but looked delish and large. As I was visiting, I splurged. The challah was moist and delish. But, I must say I agree with a few others and my friend integer the babka is dry. Early bird gets the worm, but there are some early birds that get worms for everyone, including the late birds. What's the point of being an early bird if you know another early bird will get your worm. I guess it's good to not fully rely on other birds, no matter how early they may be. Your early bird might not always be around and then one day you might be left worm-less. It also probably feels better to give than receive. Late birds are typically the receivers and if they're not, they'll starve to death. Anyway, my friend is an early bird and picked up baked goods from Yuki's. We also got a cappuccino and a cold brew, both great! There is also a park right around the corner where you can hang out and eat your delicious pastries. I'm not one to leave bad reviews but I sincerely had to share my awful experience with the receptionist. I ordered a Passover cake last year (Lemon Pistachio) which was absolutely delicious so I wanted to do so again this year. I tried to order it on 4/2, which was the deadline for orders and was unable to do so because the website said there was nothing on the menu to order from (weird) so I proceeded to call the next business day. I was looking for a Saturday morning pick up (4/8). This gives 6 days in advance. The lady went on to tell me that Passover is only on Wednesday and they are not accepting any more orders and that the deadline was 3pm 4/2 and because I missed the deadline by AN HOUR they would not take my order. The receptionist also brought this up again towards the end of the call and said that they removed online orders around 5/6pm. Another lie!!!!!! Clearly if that was removed around 5/6, I would have been able to place my order. First of all- how are you to tell me that Passover is one day only when it is a week long?????? Second, i can SENSE a huge lie by that time deadline. There was 0 communication on the website or Instagram that there was a time deadline... just a DAY deadline. Third, the lady went on to tell me that I can come in on Saturday to get a cake but she has no idea what cakes will be there and because Saturday is no longer Passover there won't be Passover cakes. Girl!!!!! If you are going to work at an Israeli bakery, at least know the holidays. At this point I am fuming with all the lies. And finally; the tipping point. I ask to speak to a manager or owner. She tells me they are too busy but I can email Yuki. I say, if I email Yuki, isn't she too busy to respond? And the lady goes, yup someone else will respond. I am sorry (not sorry), for this lengthy review but I always support small businesses and wanted to get a cake for my family celebration but this disrespectful, deceitful customer service was just awful that I had to share. I also messaged them on Instagram when I tried placing the order and after my terrible experience and they left me on READ. Again, I repeat, I apparently missed the "deadline" by one hour that was NEVER communicated by the business. read more

Whoa. Stop everything right now and go to Yuki's. This place is a diamond. Everything is super fresh and made in house. We tried: Almond chocolate croissant - A+ get it Chocolate rugalach - Sooooo delicious and chocolatey Egg feta - A+ so good. Cheesy salty feta with egg on fresh bread. Wow so much yes going on. Fresh feta. Fresh pita bread - so soft and puffy We forgot the name of the cookie we ordered but it was super soft cookie with some sort of caramel in the middle - very delicious! We also ordered a potato boureka - haven't tried yet because we were so full, but apparently it's very popular. (I also love anything with potato) With our treats, we had a regular coffee and a cappuccino - both were excellent. Our only con: The prices are a little high, but it's 100% worth it. It's not really a con, because the taste and quality match the cost. We will be back to try the challah and babka! (And will mostly be back again and again for more.) read more
