Finally had the chance to try out Yum Yum donuts in Quakertown the other day. I have since been told by 14,000 or so people that I didn't get "the right flavors" so I guess I'll be going back soon. The woman who helped me honestly seemed a bit irritated that she had to come over and help (slightly busy, 2 other employees helping people with a smile on their face) but not a big deal. Small ordering area, did not see any tables. I will say that from the flavors I did get, I found them to be quite good and right there with Mary Ann donuts in Allentown and Naz-O-Nut in Nazareth in quality. I've been told by so many people that one of the 3 I just listed is "hands down" the best around. I disagree personally. I feel like all 3 of those spots are right around the same level for me. I'm sure I'll be back soon to try those other flavors but for now, Yum Yum - Didn't Suck! read more

Probably the best donuts you've ever had! Fantastic selection even mid-afternoon. We got a half dozen and every one was perfectly fresh. They were incredible and delicious. Some of the flavors (like apple cider cake donut) were traditional; some flavors were more innovative (salted caramel cream). There were a lot of customers yet the staff were friendly, patient, and efficient. Easy parking, too. The shop was clean with a great layout; very easy to see all the varieties. Fabulous! read more

I got a dozen donuts. Unfortunately, the person helping didn't get the order right and three donuts were not the ones I asked for. I wanted the ones without the glaze and she gave me glaze. The best doughnuts in the area! You can't beat the freshness and the vast variety of doughnuts offered makes sure everyone leaves happy. These are the only doughnuts I purchase anymore. I was so happy to see this location open again after renovations. I will say, I am a little disappointed in the new store. It is very small and there is no room for people to stand in line to order. There is also no space for tables for people to enjoy their doughnuts inside. I visited on a busy Saturday morning and every customer in line made a comment about the size of the store and feeling in the way of the door. I just wish they had planned better before going through the renovations. This location does have a drive thru, but it is currently closed. read more

Gotta love those Yum Yum Donuts. They are large, tender, sweet, and completely addicting. We stopped in at the beginning of our drive north to Canada, and found that the half dozen was more than enough for the entire trip. Finished the last honey stick on the way back. A little past prime, but still good enough to help with the needed sugar rush with caffeine. The Dutch crumb and vanilla iced had great texture and shine, but really couldn't eat more than one at a time. While service was fine, the store itself needed some TLC. Some of the sign lights were out, and the walls could have used a fresh coat of paint to brighten the place up. While true you can't eat the atmosphere, the comparison to their other shops makes this one in Quakertown seem like a poor relation. The bake shop reopened (after a year) and to my surprise lost all its charm. The new building is much smaller and there is no longer any "dine-in". The counter is gone, the booths are gone, the rest rooms are gone. It's pretty obivious Yum Yum wants you in and out, a.s.a.p.! Now, if you're looking to grab a dozen donuts on a Satuday or Sunday morning, be prepeared to wait in the line that wraps around the tiny building. The traffic there is also a nightmare. Not sure if this is what the owner(s) anticipated with their re-model, but it is what it is. The donuts are still delicious, especially their glaze....they literally melt in your mouth. Now, the only thing that could change this 4 star review to a 5 star review would be....BRING BACK THE JELLY STICK! The best donut in their shop and they get rid of it. SMH! read more
