Ambiance - casual and apparently a favorite quick breakfast spot before work for the locals. Service- professional, friendly, and quick. My favorite part of this visit. Took my order quickly and politely and got that order to me quick. Even making last minute adjustments to the additional order I added without breaking a sweat. Shoutouts to you! Food- I enjoyed watching the donut being made but not my favorite donut. The donut was dry, the inside was crumbly, the chocolate is a dark hue that Im unfamiliar with and tastes like it would've needed a little more cream to soften the cocoa. I went here for custom colored donuts. They said they could do the color I needed but I had to order a dozen so they don't waste any frosting. No problem. I went to pick then up and they were not the color I needed. They were a periwinkle/lavender color when I needed purple. They manager was not very concerned and just said well that's the closest I could get to purple. Ummmm if you couldn't do the color just say that. I was offered no accommodation for not getting what I ordered. No refund, no discount, no nothing. I will not be returning for my monthly donut orders. read more

Second time my girlfriend and I visited this location. Well our first time here we had the chorizo bagel breakfast sandwiches and let me tell you they were delicious. So Sunday morning we decide to come back for a quick breakfast. We get there and get helped straight away. The girl was great. Very sweet and took our orders. We got two chorizo burritos and 14 of their donut holes. So we order, pay and step aside because seemingly everyone had the same idea for breakfast. Anyway we are waiting for our burritos and as we are standing there we see the manager or owner of the establishment hand washing a rag in the sink behind the counter. Great. Nothing wrong there. He then proceeds to wring out said rag, wipe down the sink and then to our horror takes it to the back where the young lady is preparing our food. What he did next to our dismay and shock was the worst case of food handling we had ever seen. He wipes down the CUTTING BOARD where they are prepping food. As if that wasn't bad enough he is training the young lady so he proceeds to guide her through the burrito assembly and without gloves touches our food. We could not for our well being proceed to eat the food they had prepared. We let them know we no longer wanted the burritos and when asked why I was truthful. The manager was very nonchalant and acted as if this sort of thing happens all the time. We did her our money back but will not be going back to this establishment. They really need to be more careful with food handling. I could see them making someone very sick with these food safety practices. read more

Joey who works here is the best! Went here with a big group - and Joey was very patient and super friendly with our huge order. Donuts are made right in the store and they were true to its name, "Yummy" donuts. The best part about going with your family is getting to try a variety of different flavors and they did not disappoint. Glazed, filled, maple, they have it all~soft chewy flaky dough. Oh I love this place...like everyone else has said this is totally a neighborhood staple. You gotta try the chorizo bagel..its omg yummy!!! To be honest, the donuts here are as good and tasty as many other places, but why I really like this place and give them a 5 star is for having a deep and wide selection of donuts throughout the day (unlike other places that are only open in the morning and the selection is poor by mid-morning). I really thought I was going to love these after all the positive reviews. The donuts for me were far too thick. I ate one and my stomach hurt it was so full. We got crumb, chocolate bar, strawberry sprinkles, sugar and glazed. Crumb is usually my favorite, however I was not a fan of this one. I think too much cinnamon? I was a fan of the glazed though bc even though the donut was thick, the glaze was thin and basically just enough. The strawberry also had good flavor. Probably won't be back. read more

I was recently visiting family in California and I stopped at this shop while I was in the neighborhood. At first I'm not going to lie I was a bit iffy but decided to try it soon to realize how amazing it was. Its a little hole in the wall, the service was great really made me feel at home, not to say their vast selection of donuts such as cronuts, bacon doughnuts, and their filled doughnuts. You know, I don't exactly want to give a bad review because honestly back then I use to always get some pretty okay tasting donuts and I even met a pretty friendly worker there. However lately each time I come to Yum Yum Donuts, their donuts themselves are never fresh. I got a whole variety of donuts and each one of them all were quite stale. As a person who also works in the fast food industry myself, I understand that sometimes things like these are unavoidable and it does happen from time to time, but the donuts I've been receiving lately just feel and taste hours upon hours away from when it was first made.
