This place is such a vibe! To be completely honest I've only come here once, but definitely want to come back once I get the time. I met here with coworkers and didn't realize we had such a cool coffee shop here in Stockton. The interior is decorated nicely and there are tons of tables and seating available for groups to chat or work. I love The Well! This local spot is such a great part of the community. They host a variety of events and classes and offer spaces you can rent. My future mother-in-law meets her knitting group here and I recently attended a pottery class--it was a lot of fun! I'm excited to see how my cup turns out. They also make delicious food and coffee. Located within the downtown Stockton area, The Well was a comforting stop for a coffee on my road trip up to the Pacific Northwest from Southern California! I particularly LOVED how the interior was designed to look old school and retained that older Spanish style charm! They have plenty of seating, a rentable venue, and a co-working space you can rent out for the day which was neat. The baristas were solid folks and I greatly appreciated how they kindly brought out the drinks to our table. I didn't know this spot existed until I was invited for a meet up. It's located off of Center Street and you may miss it if you don't pay attention. It's a big white building with a gated entrance for parking. You enter through the back from the parking lot. They offer scones, pastries, cookies, breakfast and lunch items. I ordered a large caramel macchiato with almond milk. It was a bit soft, meaning I couldn't taste the espresso. It wasn't anything special. The cookie was ok. Prefer it warm. It's pretty big inside. It reminds me of like an old mission that was converted to a sitting space with a coffee shop. There's a lot of seating areas with tabkes and a lounge area with a sofa for meeting up, doing work or just hanging out. I also noticed there's a room you can rent for a meeting space too. This is a good place to come if you want to meet up centrally in Stockton. read more

The coffee was decent, a little on the sweeter side. I ordered a white mocha and, to me, it didn't really taste like white mocha? It was almost fruity...still good, just not what I was expecting. My bf described the caramel macchiato as very sweet too. The brownie was sooo good. We also ordered the SB melt (not pictured), which was quite good as well. The only change I would make next time is getting it without the lemon pepper, it overpowered the melt imo. Met a friend for coffee on a Saturday morning. When we got there the line was out of the door so we sat outside and waited for things to calm down before placing our order. Very rich in flavor, but could use a stronger espresso. I also ordered a savory scone, and while it was good it was more of a biscuit than a scone, very soft, and reminded me of Red Lobster (in a good way). The prices were reasonable. It is a public benefit non-profit that focuses on teaching and mentoring young adults in vocational education. The dining room is casual and you can seat yourself. On the walls are frames of old newspapers from historically important days that are interesting to read. If you're staying a while with your laptop there is wifi. If the weather is good, there are a few outdoor tables with umbrellas in the front.
