Frye's is definitely a good place to go to get an excellent crab cake. I mean, if this is what you're "famous" for, it better be good and it is. The crab cake is not full of breading and filler like a lot of crab cakes, so I was happy with that. I got the "Goliath" crab cake platter, which came with hush puppies and a side, and I paid the extra $2.50 for the seafood salad. The hush puppies were cooked perfectly and were pretty tasty, a little sweet like I prefer them, and also pretty filling. I was a bit disappointed in the seafood salad since the dressing that is used overpowers the taste of the imitation crab, which is what I wanted to taste. I love the sweetness of the crab, but didn't taste it at all. Overall, I was happy with my food but I can't say I will eat here very often as my meal was $42 without including the tip, and for one person and a meal that barely filled a to go box it's a bit much. However, if I crave a crab cake sandwich, I will stop in again and try that. read more

I've had kids meals with more food than this. The quality was mediocre at best, but the portion size was the real joke. Seafood prices are high, so I understand, but this felt straight up insulting. Definitely not worth the money. The fried foods that came in the Ultimate Feast were overdone and underwhelming, due to it being overly salty. It may be the location, because I have never had issues at their Manassas location; everything amazing there! The pictures attached show the 12 clam strips for $10. a shame because we live around the corner and I no longer trust this location, nor do I want to travel to Manassas from Ashburn every time. REALLY good crab cake. I wanted to make sure it came with a remoulade but the cake is so well seasoned I didn't even use the sauce! The hush puppies were good too. The potato salad had potential. Went to Frye's for the first time. Everything is cooked to order, so you place the order on a kiosk. You can watch as they prepare your meal. They were very careful with every order. We went for the crabcakes, which were as advertised, well-made jumbo lump! Very little filler. As good as they were, the fried shrimp blew us away!!!! The corn fritters were great, and the tater tots were perfectly seasoned. Service was fast, considering cooked to order- wait was about 10 minutes, but we noticed quite a few "call ahead" orders that were immediately ready when the person came for pick up.
