I ended up trying a chocolate chip cookie, lemon bar, mini confetti cookies, and a boysenberry pocket--which was my favorite. The cookies were decent, but the boysenberry pocket really stood out: flaky, held together perfectly, and full of flavor. The ambiance was inviting, and I was pleasantly surprised to see they also offer a variety of sandwiches and other menu items. I'd definitely come back to try more of those, along with additional desserts and pastries. I even picked up some dog treats while I was there--always love discovering places like this!

That said, as a local resident, the experience has been frustrating more often than not. Their posted hours say they're open until 2 PM, but in reality, they're usually sold out by around 10 AM. It makes it really difficult to plan a visit unless you go very early, which isn't always realistic for everyone. If the shop consistently sells out that early, it would be helpful to either adjust the hours or increase production so more people actually have a chance to buy something. Because this is the only donut option in town, it would be nice to have a more reliable experience--or even some competition to give residents a bit more choice. Again, I respect that it's a small, family-owned spot, but as it stands, it's hard to depend on them if you're not there first thing in the morning. Please try to work on this sunshine. I would hate for a chain donut store to come to this town, but at the end of the day i would take consistent service over anything.

My husband and I drove from SJ to the bakery and tried them out and omg they were all so delicious!!! We ordered guava with custard filling, carrot cake with vanilla filling and strawberry with strawberry jelly. All were so good! The bread was so moist and the flavors were so different and tasty! I sent Gladis photos of my inspiration and they did exactly what I asked for. We ordered a 3 tier cake and also did an order of cupcakes and it was almost all gone.. haha. Luckily the hotel staff saved my husband and I a plate of cake. We got so much positive reviews from our guests on the bakery.
