An amazing find for our long drives up north. The owner is the sweetest, kindest person ever that makes you happy and feeling good even before your food comes. She's a mom that totally got my kids' request for lots of boba just in milk. It made their day :) It was super easy and clear communicating our complicated change orders, taking off items and adding more items to our bagel sandwiches. The great experience became even better as we tasted our food. Everything was so delicious! The best bahn mi sandwich I ever had - and the kids and husband absolutely loved their meals as well. I was in Patterson for an appointment and jumped on Yelp to see where I could catch a sandwich. Patterson Cafe popped up with good reviews. Plus, I had always wanted to try a Vietnamese Banh Mi sandwich. It's located in a small strip mall in view of the freeway. There are EV charging stations in the adjacent lot. The interior of the restaurant is bland with only chips and drinks displayed. A few small tables inside. The lady that helped me was extremely friendly. I asked her what the most traditional Banh Mi was and she said that it was the pork and ham. I ordered that and an iced Vietnamese coffee. The coffee is solid. Extremely flavorful. She said that they use condensed milk in the coffee. The sandwich was good. The flavor is interesting and the jalapeños give it a jolt. Good bread and I think it was slightly toasted. Bubble waffle Sundaes are back! Saw them listed on Instagram so we had tro stop by. Bubble waffle is made to order so there is a little wait time. Picked up the strawberries and cream bubble waffle as well as a s'mores bubble waffle and they were both excellent. The ice cream is really tasty and the strawberries were so fresh and sweet. Bubble waffle is also excellent, not too sweet. I will be back to try more items on their menu. Customer service was excellent, lady was so nice at the counter. I'm assuming she is the owner. Had to try Patterson Cafe as it is newer to town and there is only one other actual cafe in Patterson. Service was super friendly and quick!! I ordered a plain butter croissant and set my expectations high, but you could tell it was very store (bulk) bought and not super fresh, or/or homemade. My latte was pretty good! It's nice to have something different than fast food and fried food to eat on a road trip. This place is simple, they offer sandwiches and drinks and that about it. Service was quick and friendly. We got croissant sandwiches which were on fresh buttery croissants. I wish they had other cheese than American. Also the turkey wasn't the best quality. But it did the trick and I like that they offer so many fresh veggies. I also got banh mi which was good. The teriyaki chicken was hot, the veggies were cool, and the bread was crusty. Stopped here on Feb 21st and this place is closed. Tables gone and display cases empty.

The layout of this cafe is stuck in a pandemic time capsule. There is no indoor dining area, as all the tables and chairs are still stacked up like most places during the height of the pandemic. There is potential space outside, but there are no tables or seating either. As far as I could see, there was only one person taking orders and preparing the food on a Saturday morning. There could be a 15 to 20 minute wait for your orders . The breakfast sandwiches tasted like they're straight out of a microwave. The banh mi sandwich was better, but the steamed pork also tasted like it was freshly microwaved. It didn't have a lot of flavor. For a small shopping center right off the freeway, it was a nice rest stop during road trips, but I didn't feel it was anything special. read more

First time here and won't be last. I was greeted with a warm welcome by a very nice man. I proceeded to order a tuna bagel (plain bagel) sandwich with everything. It was just the right amount of mayo and mustard. Loved the slivered red onions, it wasn't too overpowering. The bagel had a slight toast on the inside and they kept the outer side soft and chewy. I didn't see any pastries in the case but they did have plain and everything bagel in the back. Not sure if they make the bagels themselves. After a few minutes, a really friendly lady arrived with my bagel. She had a very sweet smile. It's a small mom and pop shop, no frills. They serve banh mi (Vietnamese sandwiches) and boba which I will def try next week when I return to Patterson. This place is a must try! Support your local shops too! You don't find a place with 5 stars very often. If i could give 6 I would. We randomly stopped here for gas on our trip to LA and wanted a bfast sando. We saw this spot across from the gas station and figured it would be better than Starbucks. I was delighted to find out that they have Bahn-mi sandwiches! Ok, if you have a hankering for a good sandwich, this place did not disappoint. We stumbled upon this place while in the middle of almost nowhere on a Sunday morning heading back to LA. Here's what we ordered and thoughts: Me: Bacon, egg, and cheese croissant - Croissant was suuuper flaky and delish, fluffy eggs, melty cheese and fresh bacon. This was an extremely delicious sandwich and if I had to have a critique, based off of personal preference I would have liked a little schmear of Mayo but by now way did this take away from the sandwich Hubs: Steamed pork and ham banh mi - He dusted it (hence no photo) he's had his fair share of banh mi's all through Los Angeles and said this one did not disappoint. His only thought would have been to add more jalapeños based off of his personal preference. Teenager: Bagel ham sandwich - She is not so much picky as she is .... Specific. All their bagel sandwiches (aside from breakfast) come with lettuce, tomato, onion, cucumber, cheese, pickles, Mayo, and mustard. She nixed the tomato, mustard, pickles, and cheese as per her preference. We were surprised she kept the cucumber and she said it was yummy but should have asked for extra Mayo. Needless to say, we were satisfied. The gentleman at the counter was friendly and patient as we looked over the menu. Gave my husband a good recommendation for his sandwich and entertained our daughters sandwich requests. We were disappointed that they were out of Thai tea and the slush that we wanted and that there were no pastries at that moment but no biggie. As for the establishment itself, clean upon entry, the pastry case was empty but clean, there's a lot going on behind the counter but everything looked tidy. There's isn't anywhere to sit and eat so we ate in our car. The place is pretty small so not sure any more than 2-3 two-tops could fit. If we ever find ourselves in this part of CA again, we'll be back and if you find yourselves in the area, I suggest stopping in. read more

There is no cafe I've been to that's more consistent with top customer service and delicious pastries and drinks than Patterson Cafe. My last review was about three years ago and they just get better every time I come. I don't review places multiple times but felt this was well deserved and long overdue. They are family run and owned and give off a great vibe with a warm greeting every time. I can honestly eat everything they have and love it but I'm very fond of the breakfast croissants. They are so light and flaky with a nice buttery taste. The breakfast sandwiches with either the croissants or bagels is always a home run. My favorite drinks are the ice blended caramel & cookies n cream coffees. For all the boba fans they are known for them as well. My vote for the best establishment in Patterson. read more

I always like to start with outside so that came around lunch time and there was ample amount of parking outside as you approach the door it has a sign to text in your order . I texted in for a Vietnamese coffee and a Vietnamese sandwich patte . I got the text immediately that they received my order and it'd be out in 10 minutes . The nice lady came out 10 minutes later with my order . I like my Vietnamese coffee in the sweeter side and they got it perfect . It was my first time trying the Vietnamese sandwich but the bread was nice and fresh and the patte gave me tuna texture and the flavoring had sort of a chutney flavor . So happy that I found this place through Yelp, as I never would have known it was here. I'm working in Patterson for two weeks, and staying in Best Western Plus. It appeared that there was nothing but fast food restaurants in the area, but when I checked Yelp I found this gem. Patterson Cafe can be difficult to find as there is no sign by the street, and no listing on the strip mall sign either. The only sign is small and on the front of the restaurant. The small strip mall is located directly across from the Denny's. The hours are very convenient, opening early for breakfast. The entire menu is served all day, which made me happy. I was able to order a Vietnamese avocado sandwich for breakfast. The bread was very fresh and delicious. The avocado and vegetables were very tasty and the sandwich was excellent! There was a nice assortment of croissants and other pastries. They were beautiful, and huge! I hadn't planned to get a croissant but the strawberry cream cream croissants looked especially amazing and I couldn't pass it up. It, too, was fresh and delicious. The pastry was very flakey and the strawberry filling was plentiful and fresh. The restaurant was very clean, and service was helpful and friendly.
