Amazing experience at Yuma Pet Hotel & Resort! The staff is incredibly friendly, caring, and professional. My pitbull felt right at home and had no issues getting adjusted, which really gave me peace of mind. The facility is clean, welcoming, and truly feels more like a resort than a kennel. I also loved that they have a groomer on site and take the time to ask whether you'd like your pet interacting with staff or socializing with other dogs -- that level of personalization really stood out. Usually when traveling/vacationing with our dog, we only go to places that are pet friendly. However, in lovely Yuma, we found one place everyone wanted to go that was not dog friendly. Yuma Pet Hotel and Resort was able to take our German Shorthaired Pointer on very short notice, accommodate his need to be on his own (he's unaltered) and even made time to give him a bath! He was so happy with them he didn't want to leave! If we are ever back in Yuma, we will definitely use them even if it's just to give our pup a break from us! read more

Zero stars would be my recommendation and I was only there for 5 minutes. New to the area and only want the best for my dogs; I had called yesterday regarding daycare for this week and was told they had availability for the two days needed. I stated I would bring the girls in Sunday (next day) to make sure they were a good fit for the environment. Emailed my shot records in and showed up on Sunday; door was locked for 15 minutes when workers saw we were standing outside. Once finally let in we were told they had no time for a tour or personality evaluation and then told they had no room for daycare at all this week despite what was stated over the phone the day prior. No apologies at all either; thank god I did not show up day of to be turned away right before work. As disorganized as they are I would never trust to have my dogs stay here. read more

I paid $100 for a 6x12 kennel. I could be a little off but it was there largest dog kennel I reserved for 2 nights. There take out times for all dogs are at 6am, 10am, 2:30pm, and 5:30pm coming from the male employee I asked. I called to check up on my dog on her stay, they claimed she did not pee in kennel except one time, and her bedding never got peed on. However my dog has no history of having accidents if properly taken out and when I received her bedding I can not even explain how strong the smell was on her blanket and on my dog. My dog was not properly treated and was neglected. When I asked about bedding they clearly did not check to make sure my dog was sleeping on a clean blanket and bluntly lied to my face about accidents or lied about checking for accidents. I would not recommend leaving your loved pets here. read more

The Yuma Pet Hotel and Resort watched our 5 year old Golden Mix, Paisley, for a week. They groomed her and trimmed her nails for us. My dogs coat looks soft and combed and her nails (Paisley hates getting her nails trimmed) came out looking great. When we dropped our dog off we were able to explain what dogs our dog would get along with and the employees instantly made matches for her to play with some calm huskies. They were very accommodating, friendly, and informative during the checkin process. This helped ease our minds that she was in good hands. I am very happy with this place. I left my dog for 5 nights, a very attach to the family Beagle that we got during the pandemic, and he did great. The staff is very friendly and they care about all their dogs. I have used the day care and grooming services as well. This place is so unorganized. They have lost our reservations twice and have also called us back twice after getting home to charge us more because they charged us wrong when we check out. The biggest item though is not having our reservation. Once for a wedding and once for thanksgiving. Both times we had to scramble to find alternate boarding locations the day we are now leaving after walking in with our dogs and they don't have our reservation anymore. Both times I called back to confirm they had us as well. They keep their book keeping in a school notebook. It's the sloppiest and most unorganized business. And to top everything off, not only did they almost strand our family and ruin vacations but they showed zero empathy when they put us out. I will never go back. This place needs new management. If you chose to use this place I'd suggest calling several times to make sure they still have it. Because they might accidentally lose they crayon colored reservation notebook. read more

Placed Yuma Ralph, our 11 month old chihuahua/min pin mix, in the loving hands of YPH for a long weekend in April. I requested a tour before booking, was warmly welcomed and shown the entire facility. It was spotless. Did the preliminary paperwork right after the tour. I recommend doing it in advance to speed the drop-off process and lessen separation anxiety. See their website for requirements and rules. The staff was amazing. Every time I spoke with any of the staff it was apparent that they loved their own dogs so much, I was sure that love would extend to Yuma Ralph. Yuma Ralph had his own cubicle, doggie cot, and fresh water supply. I did not observe feeding times, but I did supply food and treats to avoid any issues with switching food. IMPORTANT NOTE: There are two types of accomodations. Air conditioned large rooms or the cubicles which are not air conditioned - though the facility - a large converted warehouse with super hich ceilings-is kept a bit above a home's temperature. Because this IS Yuma, after all, any pet that really feels or suffers in heat should have their owner book an A/C room. These are limited in number so plan ahead and book early. We received a daily text update with pictures - nice touch! I found the rates ($20 per day) very reasonable and the staff exemplary. Highly recommended. read more

I brought my dog here on two separate occasions. He really seems to enjoy it, but one thing that I dislike is that it's like pulling teeth to get updates. They claim that they will send a daily picture/update. The first weekend I sent him they sent one picture an hour after I left and that was it. I had to board him for a week while I was out of the country and my husband had to call to get any sort of updates. They claimed they did not have his number, but it was on all of the paperwork that you fill out when you first bring your dog. Additionally, I wanted him groomed on the day I picked him up, but they did it days before. The facility is nice. My dog enjoys their ball pits. They don't allow you to go back with your pet once you leave them, which I think is a little strange. Maybe it'll upset the other dogs? I would use them again, but only for a short stay. It is not worth the worry. read more

4x6 luxury, I just called to get a price, and was told 4x4 or 4x6 luxury. What! Maybe you sit in a 4x4 space for 2days. Oh, but you would like to get up and turn around, so you need that luxury space, that will be an extra charge. Nope, not for my dogs. Even the dogs at the pound have more luxury! read more

My dog at the time was really hard to get along with any other dog. He wouldn't get aggressive but he wasn't the nicest. I felt super comfortable leaving him there and they even found a buddy for him to play with after trying with a few others. I now take our new dog there with him. When I bring them home they seem to be sad for about two days, but they are always so happy to be there. They both get so excited when I drop them off! I have been bringing my two fur babies for daycare for the past month. The staff is amazing and they really care for the animals. I bring home tired, happy pups after a day of play. I have also used their grooming services and they are very affordable too. Highly recommend. read more
