I came here on a Saturday night and this place was packed! We had to wait a few minutes for a table but we got drinks and it was worth it. The frozen strawberry daiquiri was very good. Once we were seated, they took our order fairly quickly and we waited for a chef to become available. This took about 20 minutes, and they forgot to bring over the soup and salad in the meantime. The chef reminded the waiter to bring over the soup and salad and all was well. The hibachi was awesome. Show was typical but food quality and portions were outstanding. Steak and chicken were cooked perfectly and very flavorful. The hibatchi meals come with rice and noodles. Rice AND noodles? wow so surprised! I am a Edos fan (other hibachi place in area) but I've been curious about this place for a while. Finally my husband and I had lunch/early dinner here Tuesday. The hibachi food was amazing! so flavorful! offered salad, soup , vegetables, and noodles with the protein and fried rice. Prices were more affordable. They offer different dessert options. The service was great- our waiter was very humble and attentive. We had a fried cheesecake to go. It was super delicious. The overall show, food, service and ambiance are the reason we are going to call this place our new hibachi spot. I ordered delivery on a Wednesday night through grubhub and the delivery guy came earlier than the expected time! Definitely was surprised I could get this type of food in the Bronx! We ordered a hibachi steak minor (kid's) which came with vegetables, noodles, shrimp appetizer (we declined the shrimp since bf is allergic to seafood) and house salad. Also came with white rice but they forgot to include it. I called the restaurant and they were nice and said they could give me a free appetizer next time. It wasn't a big deal since it was just rice. The portion of the meal was big even though it was a kid's size! - $11.95 I also ordered the thai curry soup which was amazing and spicy! It's literally like having curry but as soup - $3.50 Pad thai with chicken was okay though. I'm reluctant to write this place off. There's a lot of things I don't know about it and I'm basing my review on ONE Sunday evening marred by murky winter weather. As a result, the place was dead like fried chicken and there was hardly a soul in the place. Business picked up only slightly while I was eating, but I'm not sure if this place has the location to strive. If this place doesn't survive in the long run, it would be a shame. The interior layout is stylishly dark and edgy. You can tell a lot of time (and money) was invested in making this restaurant a location meant to attract a young crowd looking to celebrate good times in big groups. The bar area is smallish but anchored by a large HDTV. Oddly, the channel was fixed on local news rather than an NFL playoff game that was underway. Perhaps, this is a reflection of poor marketing and strategizing. The hibachi itself was pleasant, but it got off to a horrible start with a soup that tasted like sweaty athletes foot. The chef promptly stepped in and put on a light hearted show highlighted by generous portions. By far, this is the most I've ever had on my plate in a hibachi. The main course was flavorful and worth every penny. The dessert (a fried cheesecake) was not too good, and I wouldn't try it again. I don't know if I'd go back to this hibachi, but I might. It's such a wonderful place! Every time I want to impress anyone, I take them here for food and a show! They cook the food right in front of you and there's nothing to worry about in terms of what chicken they use or what seafood or meat they use. They bring everything raw to be cooked right in front of you! And the taste is amazing!!! They are very careful when cooking if anyone has a food allergy, they are not very expensive, they have such a variety of drinks! I recommend the lychee soda! My wife, son, and I were seated at a table by ourselves, and a few mins later the waitress came over to take our order. There's simply no kind way to say this, this restaurant , it's food and it's manager's attitude "suck," is beyond horrible and it's only saving grace maybe it's indoor fountain. What started out as a night of celebration ended in an $80.00 night of bad food, and a rotten attitude by the manager, when I very gently stated that the dish was inedible. The owner refused to do so, and said we have to pay the price for the salmon because " how can we expect to stay in business". Our waitress spoke very little English and asked what size when a bottle of beer was ordered. I ordered the fire wok and it sure was hot. Im loving this spot! This is a fairly new spot right in the new mall where Fairways and BJs is located. Let me start by saying that the decor in this place is really nice and different! I ordered the Salmon and Scallop hibachi combo through delivery. The food arrived very quickly and very hot which was great. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the veggies were fresh and crisp. It also came with a clear soup and a salad. I'm not a huge fan of clear soups cause it's just like eating a cup of hot water, but this one was pretty good and miso flavored. The ginger dressing on the salad was also very good. The salad itself wasn't the best, but that's probly because they use iceberg lettuce.
