Drove through NY and needed a quick bite to eat and started looking at Chinese food restaurants. This place had one of the highest ratings and I can see why! The food was done within 15-20 minutes and we loved everything we ordered. Everything tasted authentically Cantonese, not spiced or super flavorful. Just your basic, comfort food. Exactly what we needed on our drive home. This place is located in an okay neighborhood area, but we didn't have time to sit down and eat. There's limited seating. We saw a lot of people waiting for takeout. The food was so hot and tasty when we picked it up. We got: BEEF TERIYAKI STICKS So tasty, cooked well with a slight char to it and seasoned enough to give it flavor, but nothing overwhelming. CRAB RANGOON These were so crispy and creamy, so freaking good with lots of crab and cream cheese with every bite. FRIED CHICKEN WINGS These chicken wings were GOOOOD! Perfectly fried crispy outside and juicy chicken inside. The flavoring of the outside was very flavorful and made every bite so satisfying. Wish we got an additional order! SAUTÉED STRING BEANS This is a comfort food for me, just your basic green beans sautéed in super light soy sauce and garlic. YUMMMM! BEEF CHOW FUN Another comfort food of stir fried beef and bean sprouts. So tasty and the rice noodles were perfectly fried and chewy. PORK FRIED RICE This pork fried rice was super tasty, but different. The rice was more pilaf which I absolutely loved and there was so much barbecued pork in it. Wasn't saturated in soy sauce which is how it normally comes, a really light and tasty fried rice. HOT & SOUR SOUP I love hot and sour soup and this was sooo good. It wasn't too sour, flavored and spiced just enough to check all the boxes and left me wanting another bowl full! Spent over $50 and got a free 2-Liter soda too! Will definitely stop by this place again on my future drives through or to NY!!! read more

On the happiness scale, I'm giving it a 3.5. The restaurant is clean and the customer service is solid but the food... that's another story. I got fried chicken wings and pork fried rice-- a staple and a great barometer. The chicken was fried to perfection and looked good to the eye, the crunch was excellent, but the flavor was no where to be found. Zero seasoning. Is this how it is all the time, or was this a glitch?? Sadly, I will never know because this was a one and done. The rice was good, it saved the day. They also leave the sauces out for you to take as many as you need--maybe I should have taken that as a hint. read more

Confused by the bad reviews here.... This is a fast Chinese food restaurant, their steamed chicken dumplings are the best around and have fresh ginger in them which I love. They have more steamed and healthy choices and always are less greasy than any other Chinese food place around here. Also their deliveries are fast and service has always been good. I was in the mood for a classic meal ... I called and order food place a nice size order probably spent about $50/60 on food now I understand prices went up like everything so it's understanding. Now I'm expecting my food to be real good ... WRONG!!!! I'm like 6 blocks away from the restaurant I couldn't make it to pic up so I had it delivered... all the food was cold everything cold kinda felt like it was not cooked long enough I got my self chicken wings with fries it's a classic and how can you mess that up right ? My chicken had to be old and refried it was horrible my French fries where all yellow n wet as if was dropped in water !! Everyone food was no good n wet and not cooked all the way they most likely rushed the order smh ... I will never order from this restaurant !!! There are probably 6 or 7 Chinese restaurants closer to me, but I have found this one is the best. I like General Tso's chicken, and am happy to report that they use real chicken, and white meat. Most Chinese restaurants will give you mainly batter or fatty dark meat cuts for the chicken, but not Six Happiness. Real white meat chunks! The chicken friend rice is very good. Delivery to me is usually just as prompt as the closer restaurants. As to the cleanliness issues, the restaurant was given an A rating, so I'm confident I'm eating a meal prepared in a clean kitchen. read more

Best Chinese around. Great lighting, clean, fresh veggies, seasoned chicken. Wings hot and crispy. They don't look like they've been swimming in old oil. There are probably 3-4 Chinese restaurants around my way but I still go/ order from Six Happiness. The food is always fresh, they don't take long for deliveries, and the orders have been correct all the time. The prices change every so often, so that is why I gave 4 stars (4.5 really). To me the food is good but the service leaves a little to be desired. A few months back I ordered about $30 worth of food. Upon picking up my order I asked the guy at the counter for extra mustard .... I guess he felt that extra meant 2 mustards for 3 meals and 2 soups. I then asked him to throw in a few more . He tried charging me for the extra mustard ! Meanwhile I get like 6 duck and soy sauces . Does yellow chines mustard cost $500 a box ? I know it's trivial but I like a lot of mustard and if I wanted 10 he should have given it to me. The best Chinese food in New York hands down. I drive from Manhattan just for the General Tso's and house special fried rice.

I've been ordering from them for years now and their food has always been fresh I definitely favor their crab Rangoon over the other places.

There was an unidentifiable bug in our takeout bag when we last got takeout from here. The rest, as they say, is history.

To the first review I read, show me a place with no bugs and I will show you a place that just opened last week. Whilst not impressed with Six Happiness' egg rolls, I thoroughly enjoy just about everything else on the menu. They have ridiculous soups at a very reasonable price. I suggest the duck fried rice and the boneless ribs. Additionally, if you order fried wontons, be sure to get the sesame sauce. I don't live really close to this place but they always seem to deliver in a very reasonable amount of time.
