We have always been glad this restaurant is close to us. We came back to dine in. We ordered soups, gyoza as our appetizer, sesame chicken and beef with orange flavor. The soup was good and hot. The fried gyoza came out the same time as our entree. The sesame chicken was not even warm inside. The broccoli in both of our plates was over blanched and as cold as like it came out of refrigerator. The beef was mildly warm inside. Since we dined in, it is expected our food was steaming hot. They comp the chicken because we complained at the end. Service was meh. They were nice but a big difference from how they used to be. I would just order from a Chinese place somewhere and go to Kotobuki for sushi. Very disappointed this place have changed so much.

I only buy sushi here and their Szechuan beef. Both are very very good. Worth it if you don't feel like cooking.

The ice cream or sorbet with the lava cake was so special. We would definitely come back!

We made an early reservation since we saw they do Happy Hour 4PM to 5:00PM everyday so we had to get in on that. We walked and and were seated at our table. They made sure to let us know you can sit anywhere during Happy Hour and still get the specials where many restaurants limit it to a bar area. Rustica does a great job of Happy Hour. They have appetizers, cocktails, beer, Sake, wine, and even main course happy hour entrees too. I started off with a cocktail going for the Liliko Martini which I really enjoyed. I have really been into my Passion Fruit drinks lately. We of course had to get some of the Happy Hour appetizers too and we might have gone a little overboard but for sure worth it. We got: The Naan Bread Yellow Beet Salad Crispy Tofu Roasted Pork Belly Bao Crispy Pork and Shrimp Lumpia Japanese Style Fried Chicken These were a great way to start off dinner and not one of them were $8 or less. If I had to pick favorites the best was for sure the Roasted Pork Belly Bao. I think it might have been the best Pork Belly Bao I had ever had. I was a large thick piece of Pork Belly but it just melted you your mouth and had so much flavor. We also very much enjoyed the Crispy Pork and Shrimp Lumpia which were much bigger then expected. The Japanese Style Fried Chicken was great too and the BBQ Ranch took it to the next level. For my entree I went with the Basil Crusted Roasted Monkfish which came with Vietnamese Yellow Curry, Crispy Shrimp and veggies. The Monkfish was cooked perfectly. I had a great sear on it too which gave it a bit of a crunch. I know Monkfish can sometimes be intimidated people because it was pretty ugly looking but let me tell you if it's prepared like this you're going to love it. Some of the best fish I have had. The Vietnamese Yellow Curry paired very well with it too. Wasn't too heavy and didn't over power the fish but just added an extra boost of flavor. I know what you're thinking who could was possibly be hungry for dessert but it sounded good so we ordered the Thai Milk Tea Creme Brulee and the Yuzu Cheesecake. Both were light enough that we could still really enjoy them after all we had eaten. We really like that the Thai Milk Tea Creme Brulee also had bubble boba in it which we didn't expect. We had an amazing meal and for sure be coming back sooner rather then later.

Visiting my son & DIL this past weekend, both of my son's dining suggestions were wing-focused. But my vegetarian DIL (she eats some seafood) seemed to be more interested in Bonchon than the other potential spot, so I took her side to make our choice. I can usually find something to eat on any menu, in spite of my immature palette, and Bonchon was no exception. In fact, there are several other things I want to try now! We started with the Korean Cucumber Salad & Bao Buns with Pork Belly. No one that knows me will be surprised that the cucumber salad was much too hot for me. But here is something unexpected... I loved the cole slaw on the Bao Bun, and the sauces were complementary enough that the spice level was fine for me. I would definitely order the Bao Buns again, and try the other meats. For my meal, I ordered the Bibimbap with Bulgogi, and really enjoyed it. Their marinated beef was very tasty, and of course I love an egg on just about anything. Another (non)shock, I did not care for the Bibimbap Sauce because it was rather hot; I appreciated that it was served on the side. Hubs said the mushrooms & caramelized onions were very good, but I didn't eat either. Then I tried a Classic Crunch drumstick, and fell in love! Yes, I bit into it like y'all do, and ate the skin, too. What a delicious piece of chicken! I didn't even need a dipping sauce (& I can't remember what the boys chose anyway). My son insisted that I'd enjoy a Korean BBQ wing also, and I'm sure I would, but I was already getting full. Next time! Also for my next visit, my DIL got a Mopo Corndog as her appetizer (though she also ate a lot of the cucumber salad), and it looked amazing! The name was confusing (to me), but there is no hot dog inside, so I want to try one. Fried mozzarella & potato cubes! They have two versions, so of course I want to try both; although I'm rather skeptical about the sugar-cinnamon coating, I'm anticipating an unexpectedly delicious bite. Service was fantastic, although they weren't very busy yet on this Saturday evening. Our server was very attentive & friendly, and none of us waited for a new drink or refill. My son & DIL evidently visit often, so I'm sure we'll return. I wish we had a Bonchon location closer to us!

There are restaurants you try once, and then there are restaurants that quietly become part of your…read moreregular routine. For Susan and me, Green Papaya in St. Johns is definitely the latter. We've been dining here for more than two years, and every visit reminds us why it has earned a permanent place on our list of Favorite Tables Around Town. The atmosphere strikes a wonderful balance between upscale and comfortable. Whether you're planning a romantic date night, celebrating a special occasion, or simply craving exceptional sushi, Green Papaya delivers an experience that feels polished without ever feeling pretentious. We especially enjoy the side dining room, where the softer lighting creates an intimate setting that's perfect for lingering over dinner. We started this visit with the sampler appetizer, and it's one of the best ways to experience several favorites from the kitchen. The spring rolls were light and crispy, the coconut shrimp had just the right touch of sweetness, the chicken skewers were tender and flavorful, and the crab rangoon was rich, creamy, and perfectly fried. Susan couldn't pass up her favorite Tom Kha soup. If you enjoy bold flavors with a little heat, this soup is outstanding. The creamy coconut broth, fresh herbs, and spice create one of the most flavorful versions we've had anywhere. If you're sensitive to spice, just keep that in mind when ordering. Now let's talk about the sushi. As sushi lovers, we've worked our way through nearly every specialty roll on the menu over the years, and Green Papaya has never disappointed us. On this visit, the Tiger Roll earned one of our highest honors: our Best of the Best award. We don't hand that recognition out often. The Tiger Roll was beautifully presented and perfectly balanced. Every bite combined fresh fish, great texture, and layers of flavor that complemented each other instead of competing. It's the kind of roll you remember long after dinner is over and the one we'll recommend to anyone visiting for the first time. We also ordered the Tropical Roll with spicy scallops, mango, and white tuna. The sweetness of the mango softened the heat from the scallops beautifully, creating a combination that was refreshing, unique, and absolutely delicious. Service has always been friendly and attentive. One thing that makes Green Papaya a little different is the robot that helps deliver food throughout the restaurant. Our grandchildren absolutely love it, and it's always fun watching kids light up when it rolls by. For adults trying to enjoy a quiet conversation, it can occasionally be a little distracting, but it's certainly memorable and has become part of the restaurant's personality. Green Papaya isn't inexpensive, but quality sushi rarely is. The ingredients are fresh, the presentation is excellent, and the consistency keeps us coming back year after year. We'd much rather pay a little more for outstanding sushi than settle for something average. If you're looking for one of the best sushi restaurants in St. Johns, whether it's for date night, a celebration, or simply because you're craving outstanding sushi, Green Papaya deserves a visit. And when you go... Order the Tiger Roll. There's a reason it earned our Best of the Best award. You can also check out our photos to see why this has become one of our Favorite Tables Around Town.

I love anything with mango, so I had to get the yummy roll. This was a quick lunch for me, so I didn't try much. But there's a large menu with a variety of options. Service: 3/5 Service was fine. The decor was nice and clean and the service was okay having multiple servers which can be quite excessive. I ordered the following: Sashimi - Tuna, Surf Clam, Ebi (Shrimp), Smoked Salmon, Yellowtail, Salmon, White Tuna, Octopus and Scallop. All tasted fresh and good. Shrimp Tempura Hand Roll (the cone sushi) - fresh, tasty and good to eat. Tokyo Roll - California roll w/spicy krab, crunchy, eel sauce on top. Fresh and good. Damon Special Roll - shrimp tempura, snow krab wrapped w/ soy paper and eel sauce. Good, however quite a lot of rice. Red Dragon - shrimp tempura, cucumbers, spicy tuna, spicy mayo and eel sauce. Fresh and delicious. Krab Rangoon - cream cheese, krab, green onions. Very flavorful and good, but a bit too sweet for me. Overall, it was good, however it seemed as if there was no flavor in the sushi rice which is imperative in sushi. Normally, you'll taste a bit of rice vinegar and slight sweetness, but it was quite unflavored. Other than that, everything else was good.

The restaurant is clean with decent amount of tables & seats, they also offer high chairs for toddlers. Kids 2-8 eat for free. 3 toddlers came with us so we were asked to pay for 1 one of which I think is reasonable. Gratuity is automatically added for a group with over 6 people. Food is as good as any other sushi/hibachi place. Sashimi is unfortunately only available during dinner service. No dessert on lunch menu. Cute hand roll presentation. Getting the steak bites (beef noodles) or steak side is probably the best part of my meal. As a starting restaurant, Tsunami definitely has a lot of room for improvement. When we walked in nobody's waiting at the entrance counter, just a sign please wait to be seated. We came in at lunch time, we waited about 5 minutes before someone took drinks order and then maybe 10 more mins for our entrees. The usual AYCE strategy. So make sure not to visit when you're in a hurry or dying to start eating cause even soup appetizers take time. Overall, $16.99 for a variety of food is not that bad.
