Over the weekend we made another stop at Nori, and this time we decided to start with one of our family's all-time favorite appetizers, Crab Rangoon. To be completely honest, it was the best we have had in a very long time. Our family takes Crab Rangoon seriously. Over the years we have probably ordered it in more than a thousand restaurants, and according to my mother, I have been eating it since the moment I could chew. One thing that immediately stood out at Nori was that they do not cut corners on the ingredients. The balance between the cream cheese and the crab was absolutely perfect, which is surprisingly rare. Too often restaurants overload the cream cheese and you can barely taste the crab. At Nori, the crab flavor actually shines through, which is exactly how it should be. The texture was just as impressive. Each piece was perfectly fried, light, crispy, and golden without being greasy. You could tell right away that the kitchen takes real pride in how they prepare their food. For anyone who loves Crab Rangoon the way our family does, this appetizer alone is worth the visit. This shopping center looks brand new and there was plenty of parking. We went for a late lunch and really enjoyed everything we got. The wings had a great crunch and sauce, just wish there were more. This is still my go-to cozy sushi restaurant! I go here often on lunch dates!! I've tried their sushi lunch special, nearly every one of their signature sushi rolls, tuna appetizer, shrimp hibachi, pad Thai noodles, and the red curry! Went to get some decent Thai food and found this place. Atmosphere is kind of stark but functional. Service was great. They need some IPAs on the menu but decent wine list for a place like this .. now the important part! For a place with a huge menu the Thai was damn close to authentic. Curries were creamy and very tasty, pad Thai was good as well but could have used a little more tamarind. Portions are plentiful. We will be back to work our way through the Thai choices and maybe some sushi as well !! read more

A friend recommended this place so I had to try it out. It's close by so I was excited to check it out. We came in during lunch hour on a Saturday. We were seated quickly, I saw the 24k gold sushi roll so I got a piece from my friend's plate, it literally tasted like "nothing", just a typical sushi with eel sauce. My other rolls are pretty good but then again, it's very ordinary sushi. I do enjoy the open space and glass windows everywhere, very inviting atmosphere. But I don't think this will be my go-to sushi spot. Maybe I'm wrong but for what I paid, I would expect better quality sushi. read more

Let me preface this with the fact that I was here with a group of ten people. Serving that many people and keeping the experience seamless is a skill that a lot of restaurants do not have. Nori not only handled the group beautifully, but when it came time to settle up the bill, despite several people trying to pick up different items, they managed it without issue. Neither my wife nor I are big fans of sushi so we both ordered the hibachi. My shrimp and steak were both cooked to perfection. The vegetables were under seasoned which left them feeling g a little bland. The sushi was a Huge (yes I capitalized the word huge intentionally) hit. Good food and good service. We ordered the St John's Roll based on another Yelp review and it lived up to expectations - excellent. The Florida roll was just good (nothing extraordinary). Then again, it was not a specialty roll. Miso soup was nice given the cold temps outside. It was more generous than I typically get at other restaurants. Ditto for the hot sake. I met friends there for lunch. The food was good. I graded it down for 4 reasons. 1) The appetizers arrived with our main meal. This completely defeats the purpose of an appetizer and just makes it a side dish that you don't even really want once the main meal gets there. 2) my friend asked for water and it tasted kind of funky so she went out and got her thermos from the car. I tasted it and agreed. 3) my friend and I asked for green tea, which was a cup of hot water with a teabag. We were never offered a refill and even if there had been a charge we would have gotten it. At least they could have offered more hot water. 4) two of us got noodle-based dishes that were like 98% noodles with very little discernible veggies with them. The food was decent and we will probably even go again and try to correct some of the issues. read more

Impromptu lunch at Nori while the wife and daughter were at the hair salon in the same shopping center, so I was pleasantly surprised to find Nori. My finicky son had the miso soup, which was much bigger than normal, filled up my son after adding some rice to his soup. I recently visited Nori for the first time for a business meeting, and had a good experience! I was greeted right away and guided to a table. I love the big colorful murals on the walls! The inside was very clean and bright. Easy parking outside too. I arrived right at 12 pm for lunch and there were only 2 other guests, but it started to fill up around 1. I was excited to see the lunch bento box that included 8 pieces of California Roll, two four piece rolls of your choice, wakame and ginger salad for only $14. It was perfect! I chose the rainbow roll and Florida Roll (tuna, salmon, avocado, masago) for my 2 half rolls. It was delicious and the sushi was fresh. This was very highly recommended to me as a great place for Chirashi, but they didn't have a lunch sized version. I would stick with the same rolls I got next time since I really enjoyed them. My only complaint is that the water from the fountain machine really tasted bad. I'm not sure if it was just tap water or from a machine, but it had a bad chemical taste. Yes! Finally a good restaurant with great ambience and great food (especially the sushi!). They have good grade-fish cuts that you normally don't find in other sushi restaurants around the area like the Otoro Tuna and sweet shrimp. There's other Asian menu items such as Thai, Indonesian, Korean, Japanese, etc. Came here once in the past and this time is to meet with my brother, his girlfriend and my sister. We ordered the Shirley temples, nori wings, gold digger roll, surf n turf roll, fuji roll, St. John's roll, regular poke, large poke and the shrimp/scallop hibachi. Overall, the staff is great, the food is amazing, love the different Asian food menu items and the decor. I highly recommend the nori wings because it's savory, sweet and spicy. Out this way and decided to try a new place. We arrived just after 6:30 and for a party of 5 we're seated right away- booth with a chair in the end. Started with salted edamame (very good), and two of my kids had the clear soup (flavorful and good). Kids and husband all had soda, I had a Stella. For our main meals: one chicken and fried rice kid meal (good size, it was good), two kids split the Chicken Pad Thai and my husband and I split the steak pad Thai (ok, not exactly the typical Thai pad flavor I enjoy and wouldn't get again), and we also split the Fuji Roll (really good and fresh). We have driven by many times but haven't stopped until tonight on a cold winter evening. The restaurant is small but very beautiful and the execution was excellent. I had the hibachi chicken with clear soup and rice. My husband had neatly everything on the menu including yellowtail appetizer, sashimi, gold digger, sushi and chicken wings. The wait was astonished how much he ordered. He was finished well before my order arrived but we understand completely as he is a corporate chef. They have a great business with Grub Hub and other carryout orders. There was a constant flow of large orders going out the door in the rain.
