We've been coming here for 6 years and I will not return after today's visit. Today we got about $90.00 worth of food and had to throw most of it out... I'm almost positive that the food we received was old, like day old food from yesterday. The eggrolls were different, tasted awful, the crunchy noodles were so stale... the Kung Pao chicken had no chicken, it was all peanuts and under cooked vegetables, there was zero spice in the Kung Pao chicken, which is supposed to be spicy. The small containers of white rice were all dried out and old.... Great little hole in the wall Chinese. Everything was prepared fresh. The curry was clear and more of a hot mustard and cornstarch but it was exactly what I was expecting and didn't disappoint. Very difficult finding Chinese restaurants here in Florida. Still tough, but King Wok was not a bad experience. I bought duck sauce from Publix to match the applesauce duck sauce from up north. We have been craving some take out Chinese food for a while now. Unfortunately a lot of places close to home aren't able to get their normal food deliveries so I drove about 20 minutes for some take out from King Wok. We ordered some egg rolls, wonton soup, krabmeat rangoons, chicken lo mein, pork fried rice, general tso's chicken, and Mongolian beef. Sorry no pics but everything was very good. Cooked fresh and temperature lasted all the way home. Current process is to call in orders and pay over the phone, then they give you a number for when you arrive. They had some tables set up just inside the front door for quick handoff and minimal exposure. For us, this visit was a solid 4 stars. read more

The person on the phone was super kind and was willing to accommodate for a serious gluten allergy in the family. Which we appreciate. Sadly when we got our food, all of the chicken was extremely slimy. We got three different types of chicken meal combos and it was all very gross. The kind of slimy chicken that falls apart in your mouth in the worst way. The fried rice was very dry and the egg roll was just ok. My mom even spit out her wonton soup. We couldn't tell if the cracker noodles that came with the soups were bad or if we were just were too far gone. The only thing that was safe was one of our orders of Lo Mien noodles. I love a good Chinese spot, and King Wok definitely fits the bill. I recently moved into the area, so having a local place that is quick, convenient, and provides a good meal is imperative. I called for delivery and was warmly greeted by a nice woman. She took my number, address, order, and read everything back to me. I was able to pay over the phone, add the tip, and have the delivery driver leave it on the stoop (I have dogs so this makes it easier for everyone). The driver also called my phone after leaving the bag at the door per my request...I was told the delivery would be about 45 mins and they arrived much sooner...It was a little less than 30 mins, so that was great (I'm sure the average time is bet 30-45 but they try to arrive ASAP). Now for the food: General Tso's chicken combination (extra crispy extra spicy) with pork fried rice and an egg roll; Chicken was tender and well cooked. Nice and saucey ...I enjoyed the flavor of it. Not as spicy as I had anticipated, but still delicious. Fried rice was tasty with peas, carrots, onions, and nice chunks of pork...solid egg roll. Tasted better then some other places and was a little larger in size. Boneless Spare ribs were really delicious! Tender, extra sauce, full of flavor, and perfectly cooked. These are probably some of the best boneless ribs I've had anywhere...I've seen them when they are so dried out, burnt, not enough sauce...not these ones!!! These were on point!!! Crab rangoon were very good. Light, crispy, airy, w a nice cream cheese krab mixture...comes with the sweet and sour dipping sauce as well. Fantail shrimp comes w 5pcs per order. They're crispy and the batter is a little thicker...it's a lot of batter and less shrimp...the shrimp taste good and is what you expect from this appetizer, but not my favorite item on the menu...maybe the dipping sauce would help it along... 5 stars for great, quick, friendly, and efficient service. Met some friends here for a quick bite before a movie. There are only a few tables inside. It's mostly a take place. The menu is full of all the typical Chinese fare. Prices are reasonable. We place our order and sat down to wait. While we were waiting for our food I noticed that the lady up front was super multi tasking. Taking orders from walk-ins, answering phone and cooking. It's no wonder she was frazzled with a few customers and continuously apologizing. She brought our food out in bags to the table. We just grabbed some plastic forks and ate straight out of the containers. The food was just ok. The spring rolls were very greasy and so were most of the dishes. Also a little lacking in flavor and freshness. We all liked the rice. There is plenty of parking as the restaurant is located in a plaza. Keep in mind that I am reviewing King Wok with its genre in mind, and not comparing it to authentic chinese restaurants which are often found in Big City Chinatowns. Think the likes of China Woks, China Queens, Chinese See-thru Kitchens, etc. I ordered several dishes, and they were all delicious. Simply I would say that this China King is neck and neck with the best of the dozens (maybe hundreds) of these strip-mall Chinese carry-outs which I've patronized. Get job! read more
