I was a regular with the previous owners. The new owners have upgraded their ordering system from when they first took over and it feels a lot better. The ambience has improved. We've lived in Smyrna for almost 10 years and have passed Yummy Poki 1million times and have never tried it. And I'm sad it took that long! I was surprised when I walked in that it wasn't a fast food type like most poke places but was actually a sit down restaurant! Came here today for a poke bowl and some sushi. I got salmon and crab salad for my proteins in my poke bowl and it was good until I bit into some frozen pieces of salmon. Had my husband try it to make sure and he concured. I ate around the salmon. Had some of the sushi rolls we ordered. My husband got the crab salad, spicy tuna and spicy salmon for his proteins for his poke bowl. This place is normally pretty good but today they dropped the ball. Will try again in the future as we have been here 5 times and this is the only time we have had a slight issue. The soda also didn't have much ice or fizz. read more

Such a cozy experience. I was hungry and needed to kill some time. Felt like getting ramen, so I stumbled upon this place. The dim lighting, cozy booths, gold fish tank, and the sweet servers all get a 10/10. I was there by myself just enjoying the ambiance and eventually put my headphones on. Great place for that. Only time I saw a waitress was to put food on the table. Even had to walk to the register to pay and leave. The poke bowl was a random collection of ingredients that don't belong on a poke bowl (ex. Cashews, edemame, pineapple, avocado, cucumber and corn). The squid sushi had the skin left on it. This type of food may not be so much in their wheelhouse. The service was a tad bit slow for a to go order on a Monday afternoon but the food was worth the wait. It took them about 30 minutes for the order to be ready but we enjoyed it . They have a good sushi burrito ( according to my kids ) and I enjoyed the pot stickers and egg rolls which were not great at all just yummy! I will be back next time I am in town! This is a great little spot in Smyrna in terms of food. I have gone several times since my first trip. The seaweed salad is incredible! I love the ramen noodles too. I will say that every time I have dined here, the table service was slow. Very slow. So as long as you aren't in a hurry, everything else should be relatively satisfying. read more

Alright sooooo...the food is great. The service is horrible. I love their poke bowls. The kitchen really gets it right. But the servers there have no clue what they're doing, are slow and sometimes even rude, and have no clue how to follow simple instructions. We always order the same appetizer and ask for it to come out first... as appetizers typically do. We are usually lucky if we get it at the SAME time as our entrée, but quite a few times it has been served after lol...We went there last night and I told the server can we please have this first. I don't want it at the same time as my dinner. If it does not come out first, I don't want it at all. Pleeeeeeease make sure that this comes out before our entrées this time because every single time you guys serve it at the same time or after, which is just bizarre. And of course, like clockwork, it comes out at the same time as our entrees. I just don't understand the thought process behind this. Simple request, can't follow through. It's not some complicated request. First appetizer, then entree - PLEASE. Ruins the dine in experience. And then we were never checked on. This might not sound like a big deal but once again it's just lack of listening, lack of caring, lack of professionalism. If I wanted everything at the same time, I would just order it to go, which is what I recommend everyone to do because if you go there to actually dine in, you're going to be beyond disappointed. The last time we were there a few weeks ago, the service was so bad and one server was so rude, as soon as we got our entrees we asked for to go boxes so we could leave and just go eat back at home. You might ask "why go there if the service is so bad?" it's really hard to find good food in this area, and as I said, the food is delicious there. The first few times we went the service was decent. I don't know what happened but the last few times we have been there, it's just been atrocious. I kept thinking maybe they were just a couple isolated incidents and "this time might be different", but I'm giving up on actually dining there. If you're looking for high quality Asian food, this is THE. SPOT. I live an hour away from this restaurant and I still drive out when I crave their appetizers. I get their steam buns, gyoza, CCC roll, etc. - all their food is authentic and tastes made at home. Our server - Emily - is so nice, and remembers us when we visit. It was alright. Togo order was delayed. Lo main noodles tasted and looked like spaghetti instead of true Lo main noodles. Poki bowl was affordable tasted good and was a large portion even for medium size. Good array and toppings. Crab Rangoon were fairly good, but cold. I ordered Togo from here and everything was good EXCEPT the seafood soup. The description said it has fish, squid, scallop, and shrimp but when I opened my bag at home it was 90% broth some cabbage, 3 pieces of shrimp, and half a scallop. This was unacceptable for 8$. Everything else was okay tho except for this one menu item. And when I called the manager said he put in three pieces of calamari but I swear on my life what I listed above was all it had. After I said no there was none, they offered to make me a new one but I am already home and a drive away, to go back. Food is okay but next time maybe make sure all the ingredients are in the dish. Really good! We haven't been in to eat in awhile, but when we were, the servers were always very kind to both me and my 2 year old. I wish they lowered the price on the veggie poke bowls a little since they're about the same price as the ones with fish, but it's not a deal breaker, and the food is still good. They have above average fried rice, my daughter loves it. My husband always gets their ramen and really likes it. They have a great veggie sushi combo I often get. Full disclosure, I've only had their poke bowls. But both times were great! I love the selections of protein, sides, toppings, and sauces. But my newest favorite is their Poke Signature, with the ponzu sauce served on the side. It's a hearty bowl with the right amount of textures and flavors. Fresh fish, veggies, and toppings. I've ate the bar both times and was served a small portion of squid salad both times. They also let me try a few of sauces including a ginger sesame that is not on the menu. At $12.99 for the largest bowl, it's pretty fair if you're comparing to other poke shops. They also have a good variety of sushi, Japanese selections, Ramen, and even hot pot, which I have yet to try yet, but will definitely soon!
