This place is a hidden gem. I have eaten here frequently. They have great steamed dumpling and the poke salad I get is awesome. I get tuna and roe and edamame and the fried garlic and fresh mango. Wonderful place for sushi lunch. 2 and 3 roll lunch special with salad and soup. Subdued atmosphere great for business discussions. I go as often as I can find an excuse to go. Dining companions have really enjoyed the hibachi grill meals as well. Friendly and accommodating staff. read more

Today was our first ever visit to Yummy Poki. I found them here on Yelp and was excited to try after seeing some of their menu options. I ordered a wide variety of foods including their avocado salad, chicken gyoza, veggie spring rolls, egg rolls, 2 poki bowls, dragon balls, kids meal w chicken katsu and sides, a taro milk tea and regular milk tea. Our total bill for this entire huge spread was only $70! Everything was very fresh, tasted great and even nice presentation. Even the kids meal was excellent and had a decent portion of the main plus a few tasty sides. It is a kid-friendly restaurant w ample seating, high chairs, changing table in the restroom, and even a step stool at the sink. The restaurant was nice and clean, including the floors. The place is well taken care of. I was very impressed with everything except the lack of service. Server was unfriendly since the moment we walked in and honestly seemed bored and uninterested in serving. They never returned once after leaving our plates to see if we needed drink refills, dessert or anything else. This was not due to be busy at all. We were one of only two couples there in the entire restaurant. I would have ordered more to go. I'd give 5 stars for the taste, menu options and pricing. 1 or 2 for service, but the food was good enough to give 4 stars overall and I'd still go back. Just hope to get a better server or catch the one we got on a better day. read more

OK, I am a fan of Poki. I was in the area for business when I saw the place come on Yelp, with some good reviews. I really want to do 3 1/2, because I think the are above average. I walked in and there wasn't any directions on ordering anything to go or do I take a seat or wait. I was a little put off, but the place a some customers which is always a good sign. I saw the Poki ordering sheets, so I sat down and filled it out. Standard Fish options and portion per price request and the Price looked about average. What was a little different they limited other addition items like the vegetables, dressings and toppings. Not seen a limit on those before. I place my order and the lady taking it was very pleasant, and said it would be about 10min. It probably was closer to 5min. The bag was stapled and secured for the ride back to the Hotel. When I got to my room opened the bag and just about all the accessories needed was in the bag. The dish was good. Not disappointed with portion sizes, flavor or over all with my choices. Would I return, yes. Probably try their sushi bar. read more

I will never go back. EVER! The miso soup and the broth to the beef (tonkatsu) ramen was bland and had very little flavor. My boyfriend said the meat was very tough. The pork katsu I ordered had to be cooked several times. I could tell because the first few cuts were fried and browned on the inside when it should have been white in color. Part of the batter was still mushy. On top of all of that, I have been sick with food poisoning since we are there (Thursday 26th) and it's now Friday night going into Saturday as it's 23:27 PM. Please check your food before you consume it. I didn't realize partial of it was still undercooked until I got to the last 2-3 pieces. We came here one night on a whim to check it out and was not disappointed! Ordered the chicken katsu and shrimp miso ramen. Both were excellent! They brought us some kind of crispy fried imitation crab strings before our food arrived and omg it was weird how delicious it was! Looking forward to our next trip here. read more

Ordered Cali roll and spicy crab roll my bf got a spicy ramen we took it home and our food is really good great flavor on the ramen ! The sushi is fresh great prices also the inside was very welcoming and clean great staff :) . I was so happy to see they have boba tea but hesitant to try it because I've also been disappointed from other places with how over cooked the tapioca was. but I tried their boba tea and the tapioca was cooked perfectly with a great chew and no mushiness please give this place a try read more

I've been here several times and really enjoy their poke bowls. However, I went in for lunch today and waited over 15 minutes before being acknowledged by any of the waitresses. I understand it was a lunch rush, but the waitress was very condensing and rude when she finally made it to the table. Also, while waiting I looked down on the floor and there was a dead cockroach on the floor. I immediately left after that. Wow. I was NOT expecting a fresh poke place in the middle of Smyrna, haha! I'm from California and moving to a landlocked state meant my dreams of eating fresh poke at the beach went down the drain. Well, not entirely! My boyfriend recently moved to Smyrna from Nashville, and on my drive back from some thrift shopping, I decided to pop into Yummy Poki. It's at the end of a random strip mall..but I was surprised at how beautiful it was inside the restaurant! The man at the front was kind. He made me a nice iced milk tea with boba. The boba was nice and chewy..not soggy like many other places in Nashville. I ordered the California Poke Bowl without tomatoes. Really fresh fish. The seaweed salad was fresh as well. I liked the creamy house sauce that came with it. I think the cucumbers were cut pretty large, so that was different. The avocado was perfect. And the warm white sushi rice under the poke was soooooo good. I ordered a large, and I wish I had more because it was delicious, but it was filling for how hungry I was at the time. It's relatively new in Smyrna , and i absolutely love asian food , and this place did not disappoint! My picky sister, who usually only eats chicken nuggets and french fries, went in thinking she would not like it because it is something new, but she came out loving it ! The workers were exceptionally polite and attentive. The presentation of the food was also insta-worthy if you would want to post about it . Decided to try this place after passing it several times and honestly it was a big let down. Got the tonkotsu ramen (beef ramen) and I expected it to come out hearty and savory like most tonkotsu ramen's, but it was bland and wasn't even hot. The noodles were over cooked so they were just mushy and would just fall apart. I probably should have stuck with sushi or a poke bowl, but I was craving ramen so I ordered the chashu ramen. I asked for no corn, because I just can't eat corn. The service was quick (2 pm) so it should have been. The soup was served with corn in it. When I told the server I asked for no corn she asked if I had told the waitress that; which I said yes I did and all she said was 'oh sorry.' Didn't offer to replace. The bowl had two small pieces of chashu, a few little pieces of bamboo shoots, a few pieces of green onion, one very small wedge shape piece of nori and a big ole scoop of corn. The egg, which I thought was going to be a soft/medium boiled salt egg was nothing more than a hard boiled egg. :( The broth was ok tasting, the ramen was good... but nothing other than soy sauce brought to the table; no ginger, no chili paste.. nothing. Truly disappointed. Honestly, I doubt I'll go back even to try something different. It really takes a lot of effort to mess up a ramen bowl. read more
