Very tasty food. Their sauce is do good, especially with the hibachi shrimp. Their beef is tender never enough sauce though. Always request more sauce on the side. Their rice can be hit or miss as in too dry or possibly sat around too long. Overall pretty good for the price you pay. read more

The customer service was horrible. We placed a take out order online and came inside to pick it up. I walked to the counter and there were two young girls and one young boy, I said that I had a take out order and one of them found my ticket and said that they were getting it ready. All three of them saw me walk to the nearest table to sit and wait. They continued to chat and never let me know that my order was ready. After waiting nearly 15 minutes my husband went to go ask about it and they handed the bag to him. My food was not ready when I got there, but cold by the time I ate it. I guess the expectation was that I should be asking every two minutes if my order is ready, when my expectation was that since three employees heard me ask the first time that one of them would let me know when it was done. read more

I rely on koji to save me when I'm hungry and don't want to cook. I've only ever used the drive thru, which is always speedy. My favorite dish is the chicken and steak combo, even though the steak is usually a bit over cooked. The carrots are like dessert because they're so soft and sweet. I do wish there were more mushrooms and broccoli, but adding them is an extra $3.50. For veggies! No thanks. Overall, their food is great for fast hibachi. Aha, a new quick-service asian restaurant opened up on my side of town in the old Church's Chicken building. There were two tiers of plates, single-item (shrimp, chicken, beef etc) and combo items (shrimp/beef, scallop/beef etc). Both plates also come with flavorful rice and a vegetable (tonite it was sweet carrots). Prices ranged from just over $5 to $10 for the single meat dishes and $8-$14 for the double meat dishes. Kim, our cashier, was super nice and chatted with us as we finished our meal. Everyone seemed very friendly and I will be back to try some other combinations. The portions were generous and I felt like it was worth the increased price over typical fast food because of the serving size and the higher quality of the food. read more

My goodness I'm glad I stopped here!! I have never in my life tasted a sweet carrot so good! What a treat!! On top of that, the rice, broccoli, and shrimp were perfectly cooked. The steak was seasoned incredibly well. The yum yum sauce was good, but didn't have too much flavor. The scallops were a bit bland. The food here is great, but I wont be returning. The counter staff was rude, flippant, and not interested in providing service. I asked for the mushrooms in a dish to be served on the side (for a kid) and was told i could get the mushrooms with the meal or not. They refused to place the item in a small bowl, were unwilling to, and then wanted to charge me 2.79 extra for a side of mushrooms to add to the meal I was going to eat. At first I was kind of weary of this place, it's basically fast hibachi, but never judge a book by its cover is a true statement. I came on a Saturday night at 630, bad timing on my part because it was so busy, even the drive thru had 7 cars waiting. Waited at 15 minutes but it was worth the wait. I got the chicken and shrimp with mushrooms, broccoli, and the sweet carrots, side fried rice, and extra sauce and that came up to be about $16. Very cheap for the load of food they give you! The side order of rice was piled high, literally leaving no extra space in that to-go box. I shared the food with my mom and even had left overs for lunch for her and I. And the main course was piled high too. Everything was great, but I wish the rice had a little more flavor, I guess that's where the shrimp sauce comes in. Definitely coming back! read more

I was craving Asian food for lunch so I was reading the reviews on yelp and decided to give this place a try. You can either drive thru or go inside and order and eat there. The concept at this place is fairly new to me, I'm from CA and have never really seen a place like this. I'm use to places like Benihana's were you sit down and they cook everything for you. This place is a faster version of it. They have a good selection of plates and pictures for you to see if you can't really decide. I'm a visual person, so I was happy to see the pictures on the menu above the cashier. Their menu is very simple, so it made it a lot easier to choose. - Hibachi steak and chicken served with rice and mixed vegetables - the steak and chicken was cooked perfectly and the flavor was absolutely great. They had a side of ginger lemon type of sauce and it added a really good flavor to the dish. I used that sauce to dip my vegetables in. The onions, zucchini, mushrooms and broccoli was cooked perfectly. I'm usually not a fan of carrots, but they added these carrots on the side that was something that I have never tasted before. The carrots were so sweet and tender and I could have eaten that as my dessert. Overall I like this concept, it's quick service and good food. People line up for this place all the time, and the parking lot is packed. It is a small shack and I decided to finally check it out. Good food, reasonable price. From the clientele and previous comments, this appears to be popular with the MTSU crowd. Apparently, the student discount is significant. Previous posts slammed these folks for the food being overly salty and of all things, the carrots got bad reviews. Why carrots would be the subject of so many reviews, I'll never know. The carrots are served on the side. I did not experience problems with either of these issues. Service is FAST. I spent less time waiting for my dine-in meal than I have at many major fast food chains who cook "to order". The cooks deserve kudos. They work their butts off. Spatulas on the hibachi were chattering the entire time I was there. I was about confused about what to do at the end of the meal. You get a REAL plate, and there was no obvious place to bus your own table. They bus just fine. One serving is enough for two people. As a diabetic, I left most of the rice and some of the sides. Prices are not a bargain, but are acceptable. I had the shrimp and steak meal. The shrimp were predictably small to medium, pre-cooked and obviously previously frozen. The steak had to be pre-cooked and warmed to serve. Not tender, but not tough and good flavor. All the vegetables added to the dish were fresh. If I went again, I would order the vegetable dish for economy and fresher taste. read more

My 12 yr old wanted Koji. Placed my order thru Yelp at 7:24pm CST. Received an order confirmation at 8:19pm CST that order would be delivered by 9:19pm CST. Received an email and text from Eat24 that my order was confirmed. I'm on the phone at 9:56pm CST with Eat24. They are moving away from the Yelp platform, but work with a small local delivery service. They received confirmation from the delivery service and are checking on it now. They are unable to reach the delivery service, so they've canceled my order. Delivery services should be timely, accurate and efficient. read more
