This is one of my absolute favorite spots for crawfish at a decent price. They even have specials on Wednesdays, which is a nice bonus. We actually ate here right when they opened a coup le of years ago, and I couldn't remember why we haven't been back. I didn't recall anything bad about the place, and given the rave reviews since then, I thought it was time to return. Based on reviews, we showed up early on a Friday evening (~5 pm). Even at that time, it was mostly full, but we were able to snag seats at the bar, which is first come first serve. We ordered the "regular" grilled oysters (5/5), which were anything but regular, as they were topped with peanuts and a really great flavor. I'd get these again. Fair warning, these take 20 minutes to come out, which I didn't mind, but I did not realize that they would not bring us anything else until after the oysters since these are considered an app. I thought they'd just bring things out as they were ready. This meant, we did not get our crawfish until we were already sitting there for an hour. About halfway into the wait for the crawfish (after the oysters), the fried rice (1/5) showed up, and I have to say, it was underwhelming. It came out room temperature, which to me is cold, and I thought this was just how they do it. Except 15 minutes later, the seats next to us got their fried rice, and it came out piping hot. You could still see the steam coming off of it. Besides being cold, I didn't think the fried rice was that good in terms of flavor. I also generally prefer the short grain rice, and this was more of a long grain. Once the crawfish showed up, we were well past an hour, so we dove right into it. Both the garlic butter and combo mix were great flavor - some of the best I've had in Houston. However.... it made me remember why we did not return. About 20% of the crawfish were TINY. And by tiny, I mean they were smaller than my pinky finger. Maybe I'm a crawfish snob, but at this time of the season, there should not be that many tiny crawfish. Maybe a few small ones, but not tiny. Crawfish flavor = 5+/5, crawfish quality = 2/5, crawfish cook = 3/5. Then I made the mistake of ordering a cluster of snow crab. That took another 30+ min to come out, and it was again room temperature. The service at the bar was fine (4/5), but the kitchen service (1/5) is not something I want to experience again, especially not for the crawfish quality/size. Yes, the flavor was amazing, but I'm not fighting for a table for lukewarm food and 30 min wait time for each dish. The pricing was some of the lowest I've seen ($8.99/lb crawfish), but I'd rather pay $1 more at other places for the quality. read more

Had to stop by h-mart to pickup something and decided to eat here! The restaurant is really cute inside and they have a good sized bar!!! I went on a Sunday lunch hour and it was so busy! The estimated wait time was 30-45min. At first, I was gonna wait for a table but changed my mind and got it to go. Just order, go to Hmart and get your groceries and they'll be ready with your food. My friend recommended this place and I can see why! The seafood boil was delish! Located in Katy Asian town which is very popular, so the parking is scarce close to the Restaurant. We went on Super Bowl Sunday 7:45p and it was busy with the game playing and large parties but we were greeted and seated immediately. The staff has a friendly laid back vibe and the service was acceptable & they checked in on us often. I love that they offer other options such as burgers because that's all my son eats. We started with the Bang Bang Shrimp and split between 3 people and lasted til the food came out, which was very reasonable of a wait. The Yummy Burger is very flavorful and the 2 grilled shrimp adds a nice touch to the traditional item! The Shrimp Ceviche was delicious, fresh and flavorful with a great amount snow crab, shrimp and scallops! I even had enough to take home . I recommend the Combo blend Flavor for the Seafood Boils ! The crawfish is popular and I saw many people order it and had a 2 lb minimum. We've been coming to this location for years since they first opened. The flavor of food was good and the service was great. However, during our most recent experience, we realized how ridiculously small the portion has gotten. What used be 1/2 ft long Po Boy is now barely 4" with one crab. We ordered 4 dozen oysters, garlic noodles, yummy wings, calamari, and the yummy fried rice. We were primarily here for the oysters. Were they the best? They were okay. Still fresh! Given that they were $1 each, you can't beat that. The garlic pasta really surprised us. It was very tasty but very small in portions. I love sampling raw oysters. I've learned that what really matters is their freshness--not how fancy the restaurant or dipping sauce is. this place is awesome. I've visited twice, and aside from their other seafood, the oysters are incredibly fresh. I usually order a sampler featuring four varieties (about a dozen oysters total) and then get another dozen of my favorite kind. Conclusion: While the portion sizes didn't surpass our expectations, the food itself was outstanding. However, the disappointing aspect was the limited amount of sauce, particularly the cocktail sauce. Despite requesting more than 5 times, the serving size was akin to a nickel. This was the first place I tried in Katy Asian Town. We had a large party so we had to wait for enough tables to open so they could be put together and that is totally understandable. I'm not an adventurous person when trying a new seafood place so I went with a grilled fish/shrimp platter which I forgot to photograph, but one group had the fried platter which I did photograph while the others had oysters, boiled crab legs, and other stuff. To be honest, my Seafood Platter wasn't that exciting. The fish was a little on the dry side and the shrimp seemed overcooked. I'm a little over critical when it comes to cooking seafood because I've been practicing cooking my own after years of not being good at it and I think I finally reached the point where the stuff I cook actually tastes better so maybe I'm a little biased. I think if they would have added a signature coleslaw or something to the platter, it would round it off better. As for my friends, they seemed happy with the crab legs which for the price they paid for them, I really hope they were happy! I got off easy with the standard platter, but I think they are better known for their cajon offerings so take my review with a grain of salt. We returned to Houston to enjoy thanksgiving with dear friends. They made a point of showing us Asian Town in Katy. This is a relatively new development that wasn't built 3 years ago when we lived here. Essentially, Asian Town is a huge strip center with several hundred restaurants. Yes, several hundred. Mostly Asian. Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Filipino. Sushi, ramen, pho, name it. We had heard positive things about Yummy Seafood and we weren't disappointed. We decided to just go with appetizers so we wouldn't ruin dinner. That was an epic fail. Service was superb. The portion size of the fried okra and calamari was amazing. Those two alone would have satisfied 4 of us. The okra and calamari were outstanding. Piping hot, a large order served with a mustard sauce and a mayo sauce. Absolutely fantastic. The calamari were more like onion rings rather than little pieces. The gumbo was a disappointing. A thin, watery base with chunks of celery and very few pieces of sausage and mud bugs. I thought it was flavorless. My wings arrived last. Very crispy, very hot and very greasy. I used paper towels to soak up the extra grease. I felt the kitchen could have done a better job draining the wings. I went with Lemon Pepper and the flavor was very good. Well, our dinner was ruined. Ive passed by this place so many times and it's always packed with people so I figured I'd finally try it out. I love a good lychee martini so I ordered that as a drink and it was OK; not the best lychee martini I've had. For food we got fried calamari, fried oysters and a platter. I thought the oysters were good but the calamari was 10x better. I love seafood and that platter truly satisfied my taste buds. I goto Yummy's for their HH since they're always on point with oysters and offer a variety for good price. Yummy's can get pretty cramped at different times of the day but when we came, there were a few tables readily available. I came with a party and got 2 dozen oysters on their HH menu that were $1.25 a piece. We also got some fries to share with the table along with a few other items like fried mushrooms. Along with a few beers the tab added up! Even with HH, our total was nearing $90. Then I realized there was a 18% mandatory service fee. Needless to say, I'm not too happy with this. Not that I'm against tipping, but to make it part of the bill is just in bad taste. I don't hold Yummy's responsible for the "tipflation" but I won't make regular visits to Yummy's. Stop by with a group of friends on a Saturday around 4 PM. The restaurant was packed and even had a few folks waiting outside. Luckily some of my group got there earlier for happy hour and got us a table. The service was super awesome and we were well taken care of. We ordered a ton of items, but I ended up getting, a boiled bag with shrimp, corn, potatoes, and sausage (medium yummy House delight). It was good. Next time I may level up on the spice. Soft drinks had free refills (servers came around with refills before you even had to ask). The bar made a really good Moscow Mule and lychee martini. They have TVs everywhere so you can enjoy various games while eat! Update - I came back and it was so much better this time! I got the same order but there was better spice this round. I also noticed that this time, there was less sauce in the bag. Maybe next time I should order some extra. My friends that are frequent visitors told me that it gets better each time. My experience at this location was fairly decent. It wasn't great but it was good enough for me to come back. The service was fine, not very attentive but they do accommodate if you get their attention. Here's what I ordered. * Lemon pepper wings- came out of the fryer piping hot, which was perfect. Flavor wise it was good but needed more lemon pepper seasoning. 3.5/5 * Yummy burger- the patty wasn't dry but needed some more seasoning, it was lacking in flavor but it wasn't bad. The tots came out fresh & hot. 3.5/5 * Garlic butter crawfish (spicy)- it was cooked to perfection and had that bouncy shrimp like texture. The crawfish was buttery but barley had any garlic flavor. The corn was good but the potatoes was overcooked because it was breaking apart. 3/5 Overall, it wasn't a bad experience. I definitely left full. I will say that 10.99 a pound for crawfish is a bit pricy. If you're charging me that much, I want to be blown away. I guess since it came with 1 potato & 1 corn it's not that bad. So I Stop by on 3/13/26 around 2:30pm the place was full. My son and I proceeded to the host and informed them we were there for dine in which she said was a 25min wait which i said ok then we ask for crab and shrimp boil and was told it was a 45min to an hour wait but fried food would be sooner so we opted for fried food due to time and I ordered while we waited so the food would be ready at the same time the table was. My son couldn't sit at the bar because he's only 15. I was overcharged $4 for the lunch price and when a table was ready we proceeded to go sit which I noticed the staff with weird faces so I ask what was the issue and they told me I never signed up for the waiting list although the host and I discussed it and I waited the 25mins so she says she "assumed" since I pre ordered my food I was taking it to go but I never once mentioned " to go" so now my son has food and still can't sit to eat because they're now going to sit a family or couple who came in after us. I was so pissed and they were unapologetic about the issue! I came for a boil couldn't get it, overcharged for food, and then couldn't sit. I chose to remove myself before causing a seen because I could tell these young staff members were down to argue instead of figuring out a solution. We went to sit at the bar for a drink while we waited for our table. Thr bartender didn't want to serve us a drink because we were waiting for our table and told us to wait until our table was ready. We only had a little over an hour before we needed to be somewhere local. I was a little turned off by not wanting to be served. Once we were seated the waitress was very accommodating. At around $8.99/lb for crawfish, this place was one of the more affordable spots in Houston. While the crawfish were a bit small (not entirely the restaurant's fault as it is not a great crawfish season), their yummy house sauce seasoning was delicious, and I liked that it came with a free piece of corn and potato to really maximize the sauces. Another tasty dish was the fried rice. It came in a generous portion size (easily enough to feed 4-5 people), and had plenty of sausage, crab, crawfish, and shrimp embedded in it. We also ordered the Ultimate Seafood Platter - at around $43, it comes with fish, shrimp, scallops, and a soft shell crab, along with fries. I found some of the seafood a bit saltier, so will probably pass on this one next time. All that to say - check this place out whenever you're in town!
