I've ordered via DoorDash and directly on Their website. I do suggest ordering delivery on the website as the prices are the same as restaurant and They rotate deals depending on the season too. My family have out go to favorites but everything I've tried here has been satisfying. One of Our favorites has by far been the seafood gumbo. I've ordered chicken and sausage for guest too. My youngest cub loves the gumbo . If He could eat it daily He would. Perfect amount of spice is the medium but You can get mild or add extra spice. The seafood gumbo has shrimp, real crab meat, and fish. I love that They put okra bc as a Louisiana native it's a must. The shrimp are large and the roux is chefs kiss! My oldest cub loves the fried fish and hush puppies. Fried to perfection and just the right amount of seasoning You can't go wrong with the catfish. It's not the fishy gulf catfish fyi! The fried shrimp are also delicious. They're large and cooked to perfection. Their boiled seafood is a must. Love the sides. We all enjoy the crawfish, boiled shrimp, and crab. They offer alcoholic beverages including flavorful slushies and a cooler with non alcoholic options like Gatorade, Coke, water, and sweet tea. The slushies aren't premade with liquor meaning You can adjust the level of alcohol in Your drink and add as many shots You'd like. Let's talk about the sauce! Make sure You get the roumalade so You're not fighting over it as We do bc You can literally dip everything in it! Their baskets include 3 sides! Definitely try the fried broccoli. Crawfish rice is a classic worth trying! Prices are very reasonable! It's a very chill vibe in the restaurant with a great selection of music always playing. My girl Sara keeps the place decorated especially for the holidays. The owners are very welcoming and make sure You're accommodated giving back home Louisiana vibes. It's always clean. I went to get the Seafood Gumbo-medium spicy and a Turkey Neck, and let me just say that the gumbo is always hitting. I ordered the traditional medium spice for the Turkey Neck, but next time I'm definitely getting MILD. The seasoning was too heavy, which made it salty, and the spice level was too hot. I actually had to take the turkey neck out of the seasoning juice and wipe it off just to tone it down. It was still very spicy, but I was able to push through it. I called in an order for my niece since this is her favorite spot for seafood boils. I'd never been here before and hadn't even looked at the menu. While placing the order, I didn't catch the young lady's name, but she was sooo helpful. I ordered exactly what my niece likes, and when she told me the total, it was surprisingly inexpensive--so of course I grabbed a boil for myself too. The inside of this place is actually a lot cuter than I thought it would be (my bad for judging y'all's exterior). I am going to start out with the only two negatives I have. The inside and outside of the restaurant (and shopping area) smelled of sewage. I don't think it is their fault at all as the whole shopping center smelled of it, but it was bad. The second are those terrible stuffed crabs . Never again will I let them fool me with those. I love imitation crab, but this tasted like plastic. They also used margarine which also added to the plastic taste. It was gross and we tossed those (I feel cheated, but it's okay ). The shrimp poboy was delicious. It was loaded and the bread was fluffy. It was super good and we'd come back for more. The shrimp basket was also a win. I got the 6 piece, but they were big shrimp and they were generous with serving it with 3 sides! The portions were huuuuuuge here. The prices were suspiciously cheap. The food was great. My coworker brought me here and ever since I've been back 2 other times. I loveeee seafood boils! If you're a boil seafood lover like myself give this spot a try. I always get the bucket of snow crab, shrimp, mushrooms, sausages, and corn. I'm very particular on where I eat boil seafood. The flavor did not disappoint. Side note: if anyone have boil seafood recommendations shoot me a message. Place was clean and you get the plastic bib to go around your neck and the tool to crack your crab (can't think of the name of it at the moment). First time trying this place and I'm impressed. They have their menu on tv screens or the one-sheet, two-sided kind. They're prices are comparable to most seafood places and the quality is spot on. I had the 12 piece shrimp and 4 fish basket. The great thing about the basket meals are, you get 3 sides. Yes, I said three sides! I got the coleslaw, onion rings and two red potatoes. Usually, when you cook shrimp, it shrinks a little. I had large shrimp, which must have been extra large to start. They were cooked perfectly. When you bite down on the shrimp and the tail pops off without leaving a bit of shrimp in the shell, you know their cooked right. The cocktail sauce is good but the tartar sauce is too runny(watery). The sauces come in those small clear plastic cops with a lid. There is a thicker tartar sauce with a sweet relish which I liked better than the other tartar sauce. I couldn't resist getting the one pound bag of mussels. Which was $9.99. I got the garlic butter medium spice which was perfect. When you go to the counter to order, you get one of those light up buzzers to let you know your order is ready. It's definitely roomy with plenty of tables with the plastic table cloths. I would definitely like to try the oysters next time. Oh, and the sweet potato fries. The dessert next time will be the beignets. My girl and I stopped in for some crawfish. We ordered 5 pounds, and they were running a special if you buy 5 you get one free so that was a nice deal. There were a couple options for seasoning so we chose garlic butter and Cajun; for spice level we chose spicy. It's counter service and the staff hands you a pager to notify you when your order is ready. The service was not bad, but didn't feel as though they were helpful in deciding how to order or the difference in flavors. Room for improvement there. The atmosphere was very rustic and shanty. Cleanliness was not a priority as stacks of empty dishes were left and the restrooms were not very sanitary. There was an odor which was masked by the multiple air fresheners placed in the corners on the floor. As far as the crawfish themselves, the peeling was perfect and the crawfish seemed fresh despite how late in the season it is. However, even though we ordered "Spicy" we felt the spice overpowered any flavor there was. The garlic was undetectable, and whatever seasoning was used was coated so heavily yet didn't add any substantial flavor only spice. My personal favorite part of crawfish is sucking the heads and also dipping the corn in the juice however in this case, the juice was more oil than anything, which was very disappointing. I didn't finish my corn for this reason, and stopped sucking the heads halfway through because, as stated, they were oily not juicy. I expected more from LA Crawfish Shack as I was recommended to try there by a couple people, but I feel my money was better spent elsewhere such as The Pub over in the fountains in Stafford, TX which offers $30 5lbs Sunday and Wednesday and much better flavor and juice. Overall it was just okay. I will try them again and order differently to see if maybe we just selected the wrong seasonings for what we were expecting, but definitely not my first choice at this time when looking for crawfish in the future. read more

I'm not sure what I was expecting, but this place is just like the location on Gessner. Here are the main differences: 1. Although the snow crab is big and healthy looking, you only get one cluster vs. 2 on Gessner 2. The crawfish are much smaller...like all of them. On another note, everything tastes fresh. Although the crawfish were itty bitty, you can tell the crawfish were cooked that day from the consistency of the little tails. I just wish I could've gotten some medium sized ones in the mix too. Personally, I'm not a fan of their sauce. Garlic butter is my go to everywhere, but la crawfish shack just doesn't hit my spot like other places. I asked for less butter but the butter to seasoning ratio was still extremely off. They don't use real garlic cloves either, perhaps that's why the sauce doesn't hit as hard as other places. I had to add my own lime juice to give it a little razzle dazzle. All in all, I would give this place a 8. I probably won't be back tho because there are too many 9's and 10's in Houston. read more

After completing a 21-day fast with no meat, my mom and I decided to stop by to fulfill our craving for seafood. Even though this was the last day that the city allowed for restaurants to serve guests for dine-in due to COVID-19, we thought it would be best to just order to-go. We called in an order of 3lbs of boiled crawfish ($6.99 per pound), 1 pound of snow carb and 1 pound of easy peel shrimp all with the house sauce. By the time that we arrived it was ready in about 15 minutes. They have a drive-thru window which is pretty convenient for pickup orders and minimal contact. My mom enjoyed the crab and shrimp however I thought the crawfish was just okay. I'm not sure if it was because the house sauce is combined with so many different flavors but there wasn't an actual distinctive wow factor for me. It was also a little bit greasy. At least the crawfish were a decent size. If it wasn't for that I'd probably be pretty disappointed but for the price and size it wasn't too bad. The potatoes were a bit dry. Not sure if I'll return anytime soon but if so I definitely would try just a single flavor instead of the house. read more

This place has the absolute best fried crawfish I've ever had! We're here from KC, visiting family, and crawfish was what I was most looking forward to on the trip. My plan was to order fried crawfish from a different place each night we were here, but...after having it here once, I've kept ordering it every single day! Their mustard remoulade is so tasty. The crawfish are so fresh and plump! I've also had the etouffee (a bit sweet imho), the mini funnel cake (yum), and the seafood gumbo, which almost rivals the fried crawfish it's so good.
