This place has some of the worst customer service I have experienced. We ordered delivery and when we looked in the bag, 2 of the items were missing. I called them back to tell them and they said they would call the delivery driver. 10 minutes later I hadn't heard from them so I called them back-only to be accused of lying about not receiving items. This place was awesome. The sushi was the best I have had in a long time. Like the other reviewer said, it was artfully plated and looked as good as it tasted. My fiance had the chicken tempura and said it was amazing as well. Woody was our bartender/server and he was very attentive and offered great conversation. The interior was warm and inviting. The sweet heart roll was slightly above average, but I was disappointed with the basil roll... whatever the "crunch" was on top took over the entire flavor of the roll and was not the best taste (looked and tasted like fried shallots)... We got the vegetable and tofu tempura meal - the veggies were nice but the tofu was cut into huge pieces and just really soggy. You don't get much for what you pay for either. This place is my all time favorite sushi spot! I've become a regular at this point, and cannot say enough good things about this place. I've brought my dad here for the hibachi (he's not a big sushi fan lol) and he had a blast watching the chef prepare our meals for us. Hibachi was very lackluster...did one trick and asked to squirt sake at us( i told them it was a pregnancy announcement on the phone...so no sake)also upon arriving the hibachi grill was not cleaned of the food debris from the guests before...( we were there at 6pm on a saturday night. I get when the grill turns on the oil does turn brownish but there was old rice and veg and noodle. I asked them to switch tables as there were many empty ones...but they assured me Chef would clean before cooking, which he did....im just used to hibachi tables beimg spotless and shiney upon seating....not caked in food bits and sauces. I was very nervous about the upcoming news (pregnancy) to really create an issue about food that can be cleaned off anyway...the salad with the hibachi was a few iceberg leaves drowning in the orange ginger dressing, so ask them to go lit or put on side. The onion soup was very salty and almost unpallateable among my party. The calamari was cooked very well as well as the shrimps and chix. The fried rice is extra ...cuz it costs $2.00 in gas to cook it, kinda sneaky.Overall the price was good. 5 people 4 courses for $120. Also able to bring a cake from outside for your celebration, they will store till ready and cut. Im sure if i pushed i could have switched tables but news was more important and our family did share a touching experience for ourselves regardless...next time will be for just sushi...hibachi we will seek elsewhere. read more

Food is great. I have had sushi and hibachi. Both very good. Service is quick and suffices. The only real issue I have is the front door......if it is cool out the whole bar area is sooooooooo cold every time the door opens. They need a heater or front doorway. I normally don't write reviews but tonight's experience was one to comment on. Being in this business for many years I have come to appreciate good/great service. From the moment you walk through the doors to the moment you leave. Tonight the only exceptional service we received was from the young hostess, Aly I believe her name was. This was the best thing going there tonight. With a smile on her face trying to accommodate every guest that came in, clearing tables, and comforting a customer that was rudely spoken to by one of there wait staff. Aly clearly made things right with the young girl that was there celebrating her birthday. She left with a smile. She managed to turn a negative situation to positive before she left. Clearly Aly is not new to this business. She gets the importance of customer/guest satisfaction. As far as the wait staff goes they should be trained on how to handle situations and not be rude to people that are there paying good money to dine. With all that happened tonight at Yummys I probably would not go back. But when leaving Aly wanted to make sure that would return. She promised our next experience would better and I believe her. Yummys should be grateful to have such a pleasant hard worker working for them and the waitstaff hopefully is tipping her out for that she does for them. When this place first moved in from the old place everything was delicious. The sushi was great, the drinks were great and the atmosphere was awesome for lunch. Just had dinner for the first time in months here and I'm afraid this place is taking a turn for the worse. The sushi was mediocre at best and being the only one at the bar on a Friday at 8 raised some red flags. The staff is very friendly (as is with most of these places) so I didn't have the heart to tell them that the sushi has definitely took 3 steps backwards. Nonetheless I have never had the hibachi and everyone looked to be enjoying themselves and I hope that this place finds a way to turn themselves around. But the fact is that if they make this much business on a Friday night, there is no way this place will stay afloat unless they make a serious change. read more

We went to Yummy's Steakhouse last night for my husband's birthday. The three of us had the fillet Hybachi. The steak was cooked to perfection as was all sides. They also prepared a noodle dish on the grill as part of the meal. They entire meal was amazing and the portions were quite large for a Hybachi meal. We will make this our go to restaurant for a great steak. The Hybachi chef was very entertaining, server was very attentive and coctails were prepared perfectly. read more

There are far better hibachi options in town than yummy steak house. Came here with a group of friends and got robbed by the establishment. They are very sneaky how they price their hibachi food so be sure to read the tiny fine print on the menu. A hibachi plate meal is usually about 15-16 bucks depending on your option, we went with the chicken. What we didn't know till the end of our meal when it was time to pay is that there was an extra charge for every plate if we wanted fried rice . We thought this is all inclusive in the meal like other hibachi places, it's like charging fees for ketchup. On top of this the waiter continues to refill your drinks only to find out there are NO FREE REFILLS mind you my kid ordered apple juice that cost 3.95 each time he refilled! Beware of this sneaky people they are like sharks when they see groups come in. If you really want a real hibachi experience I'd say go to Kyoto hibachi on Lincoln St. the food is good, free refills and you won't be charged for the color of your rice. read more

We have been to Yummy's twice, both times on a Sunday. When you purchase a cocktail on Sunday, appetizers are half price. How can you beat that? A Scorpion Bowl for two is $14.95, a Screwdriver with house vodka (I think they use a call liquor) is $5.95, and she pours you a good drink. I think there were 8 Crab Rangoons for $3, regular price $5.95. They were absolutely delicious. Also, I believe if you just stop in for a drink, you can get 2 Crab Rangoons for free.
