After attending Monet: The Immersive Experience, we took a short stroll across the Common for our 5:15 pm reservation at this popular restaurant. We arrived hungry and decided to sample several appetizers along with one main dish. Our waitress was excellent and promptly took our order: Glass A.P. Cabernet - $14.00 Glass Parcel Merlot - $15.00 Chicken Thigh Skewer - $4.50 Beef Tenderloin Skewer - $5.00 Gyoza - $11.00 Japanese Street Corn - $9.00 Eggplant - $8.00 Chicken Teriyaki Bowl - $17.00 Total: $105 with tip. The Highlights: The beef skewer was very tasty and tender, likely helped by its generous seasoning, although we found it quite salty. The Japanese street corn was also enjoyable, though best eaten immediately while still crunchy, as it becomes soggy if it sits too long. The gyoza was excellent: light, flavorful, and one dish we wished we had ordered two plates! The Drawbacks: The eggplant, while flavorful, was quite soggy. The chicken skewer was disappointingly dry. The chicken teriyaki bowl had good flavor overall, but the poached egg in the center was nearly raw, with egg whites so runny that we had to eat around it. That shouldn't have left the kitchen like that. All things considered, with a few very good dishes, a few misses, and excellent service, this visit earns 4 stars.

Order: BRUSSEL SPROUTS deep fried, lemon-butter roux, crumbled bacon, black garlic SEAWEED SALAD yuzu balsamic vinaigrette, sesame BEEF KUSHI grilled,garlic-herb butter CHICKEN THIGH KUSHI grilled, teriyakiglaze, wasabi-scallion oil CATERPILLAR eel, avocado, cucumber, kabayaki sauce GHOST RAMEN very spicy, red miso tare, pork belly, soy egg, bamboo, chashu ball, marinated bean sprouts, ghost pepper sate, ash onion, chili oil, scallions We came to Chashu Ramen + Izakaya with some family and had a variety of really delicious food. We had Brussel Sprouts, Seaweed Salad, Beef Kushi, Chicken Thigh Kushi, Caterpillar Roll and the Ghost Ramen. Everything was seasoned well, cooked perfectly and had loads of flavor. I won't go into the analysis of all of the dishes, but would like to highlight the Ghost Ramen. First of all, I am deeply thankful for our waitress who suggested putting the ghost pepper sate on the side. I am a lover of spicy foods and eat hot peppers or sauce every single day, but I was not ready for the ghost pepper sate. THIS WAS ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY, RIDICULOUSLY HOT!!!!!!!!!! It has the appearance of red pepper flakes, but a thousand times hotter. It is numbing, but surprisingly delicious and craveworthy in the right proportions. Aside from it being spicy, it is smokey and mildly sweet. This pork broth was loaded with flavor and all the fixins complimented it well. I will definitely be back for more and will need that ghost pepper sate as well. This restaurant is very spacious and could accommodate a couple or large party. The staff were all very pleasant, especially the waitstaff as they were personable, kind and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. This spot is a 5 stars and you need to try it ASAP -ODL Connect with me! IG & YouTube: @AOEAT

Super impressed with this place. We all LOVED our food - sumptuous, deep flavors, beautiful presentation, generous portions. Cocktails were excellent. Service was friendly and efficient. Prices more than reasonable. I was Just visiting family, but if I lived locally, I would come here all the time.

Chashu Ramen is a very beautiful place from the colorful wall mural you see at the seat of your table, to the cool low lit bathrooms that are perfect for some selfies. I'm not a big fan of their entrees but this is only my second time trying them so my opinion is always bound to change. The appetizers are always great though, the Japanese corn and eggplant were beautifully seasoned and full of flavor. I also loved the fries that came with my sandwich. Besides that I would still give this place a try and maybe stick to the bar with some drinks and appetizers. Great for a date night or solo date!

This place is usually busy on Saturdays. We had a 30 minute wait on a Saturday night and thankfully there was a festival going on down the street. It was most definitely worth the wait. Although they were busy, we got quick service. While we waited, we admired the décor. Our waitress was very nice and would check in with us periodically. We had Pork Belly Bao, Gyoza and Spicy Tuna for appetizers. It was very delicious. For our main course we had Ebi Bowl (rice bowl with spicy shrimp and Korean Fried Chicken Sando with Cajun Fries. It was very good as well. Plentiful food and we were offered "to go" boxes for our leftovers. We look forward to future meals.

Stopped by on a Saturday around noon and had a great meal! The two of us were easily seated, as the restaurant is spacious with a variety of tables for different party sizes. We placed our orders and got our food not long after. I ordered the Abura Ramen, which is exactly what I was hoping for in a broth-less ramen. The flavors were perfectly balanced and the textures were great as well. I would definitely come back if I'm ever in the area again!

The special dessert: pumpkin cheesecake with pecans and caramel drizzle was soooo good! One of the best desserts I have had!! Definitely order that on your next visit! Chirashi bowl - presentation looked better than the taste itself! Here's why: Minced ginger and scallions were embedded on the sushi rice! Taste was overpowering the freshness of the sashimi! Couldn't taste hamachi or tuna at all! The portion of fish and rice ratio was a bit off! Not enough fish!!! Too much rice! Hope they will improve on that. Our server was friendly and nice! Service was a bit slow because it was a sat rush hour 6 pm ish .

We are SO HAPPY this place is here! There is simply no other place anything like this in the area. We've been here three times in three months. They have all sorts of delicious treats. We love the bao, the skewers, the sushi, the edamame, ...we haven't even tried the ramen yet! I think we need to come more often.. In addition to the amazing food, the service is excellent. You can tell when people enjoy their job, and here you can tell they love their jobs and the food. The decor is awesome and unique as well. It's very modern and upscale without being snooty at all. Great date spot. There are TVs with cool animated shows on and huge beautiful artistic murals. We even fund parking in this area pretty easy. Love this place!!

Food is pretty good and ambience adds to it. I got the spicy red miso but it wasn't spicy at all. I do like the base as it's not salty like most broths are. Their sushi serving sizes are on the small size despite their pricetag.

This time around we tried their sushi and we were not disappointed! Excellent excellent, fresh, tasty, and the chef's choice in the combo plates and small dishes was outstanding. We also had some sides of gyoza and seaweed salad and these were very good too. So while I felt their ramen dishes were good (but not great), the sushi is where they shine.

Food: 4.5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Pretty good, the only half point knock off for me was the broth - I got a chicken broth so I knew it was light but I could barely taste anything. However, this place otherwise was fantastic. The toppings were all, in contrast, packed with flavor, which balanced out the broth a bit and made the overall meal okay. The pork slices in the ramen were seared that added an incredible skillet flavor, and they were generous - they gave me four or five slices. The soft boiled egg was insanely delicious, I could taste some saltiness from probably being soaked in soy sauce, but the yolk was PACKED with flavor. The nori was good, nothing unique. The ramen noodles were VERY good, they were cooked to the perfect texture and tasted very fresh. The pan seared gyozas were a mix of pork and chicken meat, and the one sided sear was a great touch. It added a little bit of crunch without overwhelming it with a fried flavor like some fully-fried (despite being delicious) dumplings and gyozas. There was a dust of orange spice on top that gave a little tingle of spice but I liked that it didn't detract much from the flavor. All presentation was beautiful, both in the seating space and in the food, the service was incredibly welcoming, respectful, and responsive. Great experience!

Hello i am wondering can we order things on dinner menu when we come at lunch time, there are more food options in the dinner menu sessions we would like to try? Thanks

Unfortunately you can't. I tried once and the only food you can get during lunch is from the lunch menu.

I got the spicy ramen and my partner got the chicken non spicy one, please refer to pics as I forgot the name... highly recommend getting the chicken ramen, the broth is light and savory, additionally lots of protein and veggies to make it the perfect ramen bowl. The spicy ramen was okay, I love spice but this one was a bit starchy as if too much starch was used to thicken the broth. The noodles were also way too soft; and there's very little protein. I got beansprout as an add on and that was $2; a bit much if added onto the bowl.

Our food arrived fairly quickly as well. All of the staff are very friendly & attentive. The space is cool, very relaxing & open. As for the food, it was very, very SALTY. The mussels were good but once you reach the bottom of the bowl it was salty. The flavor of the wings were good but also salty. The ramen was also extremely salty as well so it seems like everything they make here is just overall on the salty side. If they just lessened every dish on that part, it would be perfect. But especially the ramen was very hard to eat without drinking 5 cups of water. The shirley temple was delicious tho! Food is 3/5 but service is a 5/5. So I will say the service definitely saved the rating from 3 stars.
