Unfortunately come time to pay, I noticed a little extra than advertised on my bill - an up charge for soy paper. Now small amounts aren't normally a big concern - provided the customer is notified of an upcharge fee when ordering. Not only was I not told, but it's not mentioned anywhere on the menu. When I inquired about it, my server was kind enough to take it off the bill. However, he then proceeded to argue that "generally people just should know that it costs more" and "nobody really says anything". Look - it's a matter of principle. The cost of doing business is what it is. But TELL people you're going to charge them extra. DON'T sneak it on to the bill and assume everyone knows. That's a shady nickel-and-diming tactic that will eventually get noticed. And don't try to defend it when you're caught red handed.
