There's nothing appealing or positive to write about this place. Ordered Pad Thai (one of their specials) and vegetable lo mein. Lo mein was greasy noodles, tasteless, and no real veggies in sight. Pad Thai was bland , no color or kick, no peanuts, no bean sprouts or veggies. The inside of the place was pretty disgusting. Needed an overhaul. Not dirty, just super shabby. Find another spot. Just finished a very good take out Chinese dinner - tasty dumplings and delicious vegetable forward (with chicken) main dishes.

I've been here about six times now since I live nearby, but it's never any good. The staff is downright hostile, and last time two different employees handled my credit card and charged me for the same meal twice because they were not paying attention. The food is really bland. I had chicken with broccoli on my most recent trip, and the brown sauce was flavorless goop. It's too bad because I could live on Chinese food, and if this place were even remotely good, I'd go there multiple times a week. read more

The boneless spare ribs were undercooked and fatty; the kung po "chicken" tasted more like bad fish than chicken; the sesame chicken was more like sweet 'n sour something, etc. etc. That aside, ordering over the phone we were "yeah, yeah"ed when giving our address -- and then delivery took over an hour because the "yeah yeah" man on the phone told the driver the wrong town. I called to ask (assuming there was an error with the order) and the man I spoke to said "the red sauce? That's how I make my sesame chicken." I got married in May 2021 and moved away from home sadly...I went to the same Chinese place for 10+ it's a home town Chinese place well known by everyone in the town so to me it was the best Chinese place ever... but now that I'm in the long branch area and I've tried 4 different Chinese restaurants to see which one can be a perfect replacement but none of them seem to be good at all. My husband had a job to do 5 minutes away from Yummy Yummy and I'm pregnant so Chinese craving hit me at 7pm on Monday night! Saw the place and said "let's try this place" and all I can say is WOOOOW, brought me back to home town Chinese food! It was super fast service with the food and the flavors and just everything in general was amazing! I highly recommend this place!! It was just right for me and the baby and hubby! Haven't ordered from here in several years and now I remember why. The food is awful! The wonton soup broth was like just out of a can and tasted greasy and had a strange flavor. Dumplings were mushy and filling awful. Ordered the "chef's Special" Seafood delight. Did not delight me! The shrimp was good, but the crab was imitation crab, 1 minuscule scallop, lobster was 1 tiny piece and tasted like it was cooked, thrown in the freezer and this process repeated several times! It was so tough and could taste the freezer burn! The vegetables had a strange taste and the sauce was bland. Don't ever order it! Sesame chicken was mushy too. Egg role was the best thing but douse it with lots of duck sauce. Noodles for the soup were thick and tough. Nothing delicate about them. Never ordering from here again. So I'll say this. The quality of the ingredients seems fresh. But the shrimp chow mein was literally the worst thing I've ever ate. Like I said...it was fresh but it was covered in a tasteless goo that literally looked like boogers. It was essentially a cabbage shrimp and booger soup. I tasted despite the horrific appearance and there was no taste. I couldn't eat it. I covered it in soy sauce and was able to force myself through about a quarter of it. I'm actually still in shock over how gross it looked. The fried rice and egg roll were mediocre but not bad. I might give them another shot and try something else because the actually quality of the food wasn't bad. The interior is one of the more depressing places I've ever been in my entire life. I swear you get the sense that nobody in this building has ever cracked the semblance of a smile. It's a mile of brown and gray. Staff is nice, food is offered promptly and inexpensively. Your average 2 star meh Chinese place that, like others have said, is convenient for Ocean Grove residents (which my mom is). That being said, I can honestly say that they have the best Cold Sesame Noodles I've ever had in my life, and I've had my share as it's one of my favorite dishes and it's sadly largely unavailable in my current hometown of LA. Chang's and Red Lobster are "quality". Yummy Yummy rules. Ordering was a snap online, delivery was fast and they got the entire order correct (even the condiments and chop sticks I asked for). There's not much to say about Yummy Yummy, except that it's pretty convenient for the townsfolk of Ocean Grove, since it's the closest Chinese to our little town. The food is decidedly mediocre, and every now and then they'll really throw you off and pack something that's DELICIOUS. Then you go back again and you're back to mediocre. It's a coin-toss. Hi-before reviewing this restaurant I attend 3 times. This made sure for me the quality was good every time. I was not disappointed it's terrific. They have a decent eat in area and a great menu that includes my favorites like Steamed dumplings with Garlic sauce on the side. Also, tasty & popular General's Chicken crispy and tender, Lemon Chicken, Pork Fried Rice is the best-Egg Rolls very crispy, Shrimp with Lobster Sauce, large succulent & meaty-very tender.
