Pizza boxes pretty much fill the room and indistinguishable noise comes out of the television... certainly not a romantic Italian restaurant. Customer chats the news with the staff behind the counter ... slice not too hot please. The menu impresses so I go for the chicken Parm lunch special with linguine please. I order from Tony's at least twice a week. But lately the food is subpar. Last week I had the spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs were obviously from a store bought frozen. Yesterday I got the baked ziti. There was no ricotta I was told you have to request it???? The pasta was overcooked when I picked it up with my fork it fell apart. Absolutely delicious home made food. Made with care. Super friendly family, always greet you as if you went there every day. Salads are super fresh. Alfredo is to die for. And the bread knots are a very nice addition from them. I've tried many dishes and they are all super. The antipasto is a winner and the eggplant Parmesan is unbelievable. I crossed the road from Jersey Shore Medical Center to grab some lunch and randomly walked into this casual eatery. The staff was immediately welcoming and friendly. And the staff is very kind and courteous, and they really make you feel welcome. The only reason I give it 4 out of 5 is because their silverware can be a bit dirty. I think they should do a better job of doing their dishes. But other than that, I really can't complain. Every meal I've had there was enjoyable and I go back at least once a month.
