Just frozen gyro meat that you get from US Foods or Ben E Keith. Nothing special. Everything is bought prepared from a distributor and assembled in the restaurant. Service is decent. As a Greek guy I had high hopes and gave it several chances. Just doesn't quite work. read more

Upon entering the restaurant, I followed the customer who was ahead. While waiting for his to-go order, I quickly browsed the lunch specials. Half did not mention a fountain drink. The ones seemed to have sides a tourist in Greece may seek, French fries or baklava. When I asked to confirm the one with the baba ghanouj did not come with a drink, the cashier curtly answered. He may have been tired of answering the same question today. The two pieces of fried zucchini were okay. Because the pita bread were also topped with chopped tomatoes, they were slightly soggy. Fortunately, they were firm enough to scoop up the baba ghanouj. I would have preferred additional pieces of pita bread instead of the fried zucchini. The gyro was enjoyable. After a few initial bites, I started tasting the sauce. read more

I like Greek food and really wanted to like this very convenient spot. I tried it twice and likely will not return. Just did not like the food. Plenty of parking and, although understaffed both times I went, the one guy working was very nice. Starting at the end I found the baklava bland. Whatever the sweet syrup it was in was not honey and lacked flavor. Yuck. My gyro was not generously full and the yogurt sauce lacked flavor and creaminess. Fries were not what I expect from a Greek place, which is fresh, hot and not overcooked. My wife found her Greek salad mostly all iceberg and lacking in interest. It's been a while so I apologize for the lack of detail in this review. But I won't be giving this location another try to gather more data. I'm done. read more

We have been going to Yummy's on University Drive a few times and we like that location quite a bit. We wanted to try this new location which is more convenient based on where we live. It's roughly the same size as the location on University Drive and the menu looks the same. They also have delivery via Doordash if you don't want to have to go to the restaurant. It looked really clean and everyone was really friendly. We tried their hummus which was pretty good. The pita bread had an odd flavor, it seemed oily and it tasted like they should have replaced the oil. I also had the gyro sandwich with extra meat. It was PACKED with meat, unless you are a big eater, the normal sized gyro is more than enough. I will give this location another shot, I hope to have a better experience on my next visit. read more

I was told this was a great place for med food so I decided to give it a try.... I was craving a Greek salad with chicken. Unfortunately it was not very good. Cons- 1. Very expensive $10 for a small salad which is purportionate to one side of a styrofoam container. The chicken was extra. 2. The lettuce was sitting in so much liquid by the time I got back to my office (which is literally across the street) the lettuce was wilted. We've had delivery from this location a couple of times! Great for when you just want to have a date night at home. Lots of food for sure! I love the falafel, rice, kafta and gyro meat! The hummus and babag are also tasty with plenty of pita. If they only would take the time to press all of the water out of the cucumber for the tzaziki sauce, it would be better. I want people to know you have better Mediterranean/Greek restaurants in Denton; however, I think their prices are more reasonable especially for lunch since they have some good lunch specials. With that said, I have to say I have been twice and the food is average, so I never have a craving for it, but nothing I had was bad--summary: average Greek food. read more

I'm giving these guys 5 stars. The front staff was very attentive and gracious. Food was very good. We had the falafel sandwich with dolma and fries. One critique is to swap the tahini sauce for the yogurt sauce as it was a bit too salty with the tahini. read more

I've gone for decades to the university location but just now have tried this location. It's definitely very good still and great service but it's kind of pricey for me to eat here. I'm still hungry with just one sandwich and it's not financially wise of me to throw away $15-16 on lunch having two sandwiches so as much as I want to go here very regularly I'm not able to. If it could be $4-5 per sandwich I would definitely be to one of the locations 1-2 times a week minimum but at the current prices I'm going to be barely going :( read more

Ugh. I wanted to love it, I really really did. I had the gyro sandwich and I was so disappointed... I would say it was very disappointing. If you've had Luna Grill, this doesn't even compare. The quality of pita, meat, and sauce is not there. I've never been to the other Yummy's location, so perhaps it is much better. However, for the cost and other options available, I will not return to this new location nor can I recommend it. Again, I do not like to post negative reviews, but this place is not worth the money in your pocket. read more

The food was okay, but the atmosphere was ZILCH. Badly need some music, some plants, something, anything !! Very bare bones situation.

Terrible customer service and way too over priced!decided to give them a try. $5 for a palm-sized French fries! The owner also have issues with parking in front of their shop as well. Once I received my food, I decided to get my nails done. He then came over yelling and made a scene, personally telling me and a couple of other customers move their cars, when the parking spots were NOT MARKED. In the MIDDLE of OUR SERVICE at that!!! Very rude and unprofessional. I didn't think that I would have to repark at a different spot after purchasing food from him. A business owner like that definitely does not deserve any bodies business. Such a shame because I did enjoy their food from the ORIGINAL owner. ( Alex's Greek Food ).
