This is one of our favorite places in Denton. The food is wonderful and fresh! The staff is nice and always helpful with my questions. The tables typically aren't bussed but it is usually quite busy at the counter so I don't fault them for that, and I can clean off a table for myself if needed, no problem. One of my favorite things besides the awesome food is that there is no tip screen. I'm not sure if this is part of their company philosophy or not, but it's so nice to not be expected to tip. The food was fantastic.. fresh and tasty .. it was my first time at Cava, I had been to Zoe's but didn't know what to expect with Cava and I was more then happy ..this will be a new regular spot for me. Today we made an online order and went in pretty quick and it wasn't ready... we waited 10 minutes and went back in and they still had not started. Evidently the online order came in as a different time (excuse). Still.... We waited and waited... it took 40 minutes to get our order. If my daughter was not a vegetarian, we would not have waited but there are not other vegetarian places nearby. I usually go to the Razon Ranch location in Denton. I have no complaints about the flavor and taste of the food. However, I don't feel I can trust the online service because every time I order online, I get half of a plate because ingredients are missing from my order or they have barely put the full scoop in my plate. That can be very disappointing when you are paying $14-$17 dollars' worth of food. Today I ordered a Greek bowl, and I barely got a half plate. They missed the greens I asked for, there were no olives and the ingredients looked like carelessly thrown in there. UNDERCOOKED RICE is unbearable and inedible! The saffron rice had mixed pieces undercooked or dried out rice. Just THROW IT AWAY. Don't just mix new rice on top of the old or dried out rice! The brown rice has had the same issues. Also, this goes for their chicken. DRIED OUT OLD CHICKEN. Again, rotate it out. Don't just mix fresh cooked chicken with the dried-out older chicken that has been sitting there for hours. Keep things fresh! Not impressed... mostly because service was horrible. We ordered two diet sodas and the machine was out. We asked multiple times if someone would switch over the soda machine so that we could drink our sodas with our meal. No one ever did. What a hidden gem. This restaurant is what actual Mediterranean food is like. The food is all perfectly seasoned and delicious. It's really hard to find a fast casual restaurant with healthy options and tons of veggies so you definitely need to try everything. I'm pretty sure there are tons of vegan options too. They do serve only Maine Roots drinks so I know that's a let down for a lot of people but their teas and other house made drinks are all delicious. read more
