Ordered from Yumz through Now They Deliver. Tried the spicy tuna roll, and fire fighter roll. Also tried the beef lo mein to sample from the Chinese dishes, too. Sushi is definitely the best I've had from a restaurant in town. Also, like the sushi at Fresh Market. I didn't find the spicy tuna to be very spicy, but good. In addition, although the menu says the rolls are 5-6 pieces... these are big pieces. The beef lo mein is also good, seems like higher quality ingredients than other Chinese food I've had in town. Also, lo mein comes with salad and soup; and if you spend more than $10 on sushi you get a free soup. I had the onion soup and it was good. Will definitely be ordering from here again! read more

I have eaten here numerous times and enjoyed the rolls. We decided to order the YUMZ CRISPY NOODLES which is highlight like a choice item. Essentially, it's a container of deep fried crispy noodles. I was definitely impressed with the sushi here. It was ultra fresh, and tasty! The shrimp tempura sushi was the best I've ever had!! I was a little disappointed with the lettuce wraps (they didn't even give a full leaf of lettuce for each wrap. It was like, 1/4 leaf for each "wrap"). So very dissapointing. While this may pass as sushi here in the middle of Illinois, I feel sorry for anybody who thinks this is good sushi - this place wouldn't last a week in the city/burbs. We went to Yumz to try the endless sushi dinner. What a terrible, misleading gimmick. Every roll we got was at least 2/3 rice, so much rice you couldn't taste anything else. When we left, I still had an appetite but had gotten tired of eating their poorly prepared rice (sushi rice is supposed to be seasoned!) "Assorted fish" on a roll apparently means just tuna and salmon, and although I'm no fish monger I'm pretty certain that they serve the same color-added Atlantic-farmed salmon, and carbon monoxide-added tuna that you can purchase at any local grocer. You might as well buy sushi from a mexican restaurant. read more

Had the Spicy Lover and Super Volcano rolls. They were fantastic, as was the chicken lo mein. We had a few starters and sides (miso soup, salad, and spring rolls) that were equally delicious. Three of us ate dinner there on December 26, 2017. My son had a giant stuffed sushi roll which he greatly enjoyed. My husband ordered the chicken/broccoli and was very pleased with it. I ordered the shrimp and vegetable tempura - it was light and tasty. My husband sampled one piece of broccoli. Unfortunately, in the middle of that night, I awoke and 'expelled' the entire meal......in addition, my husband, who had only sampled one piece of the vegetable tempura, had an upset stomach for 3 days. My boyfriend and I went here for lunch. It was $14 for unlimited appetizers and limited options of sushi rolls. They cap at 4 pieces for Nigiri sushi and Sashimi. It comes with miso soup and salad which were good. The sushi was good but there was hardly any meat. In the Philly role the piece of cream cheese was bigger than the piece of salmon. I didn't finish one piece of sushi and they charged 50 cents per piece of sushi unfinished. Overall, it was okay but we won't be coming back. There are better places in town to get sushi. read more

This place was absolutely horrible. I tried one piece from the three rolls I ordered and all were absolutely disgusting. The fish smelled terrible and did not taste fresh. The rice tasted like soap. Overall the worst sushi I've had in blono. You're better off at Kobe for dining in. Or getting rolls from fresh market or La Bamba to go. Worst experience I've ever had at any restaurant! The waitstaff was super unpleasant the entire time. We came in at 11:00 and the hostess sat us along with one other table. We thought that she was our waitress because the next person, who end up being our waiter, came over and "greeted us" 10 min after we got our drinks. He came up and simply asked us if we needed more time with the menu. No "hello, how are we today" or "hi my name is ______, can I get you started on any appetizers". We knew what we wanted at that point so I ordered the miso soup and spicy salmon and crab rolls and my boyfriend ordered the general's chicken, an order of crab Rangoon and a garden salad. The soup and salad came out, it was fine. But when our entree came out it was a pitiful presentation. The sushi was poorly wrapped and falling apart and the spicy salmon filling was pilled on two of them, and it honestly looked like vomit. My boyfriend's meal had 5 pieces of chicken an egg roll and a 1/2 cup portion of fried rice, looked like a kids meal. He took a bite of the chicken and turned out to be a 1/2 inch piece of chicken with a huge layer of nasty breading. I wish we took pictures of the meals because it was absolutely terrible.after 5 minutes of having our meals our waiter came back to refill our drinks, we then asked about our Rangoons, continued to walk away and then 7 min after we got our drinks back he brought out the rangoons we ordered 30 min ago. Altogether the waiter maybe spoke to us twice, asking our order and asking my boyfriend "what kind of soda?" When picking up his drjnk. Needless to say we didn't tip. This was my first time and I can only speak to LUNCH endless sushi bar. Ginger salad dressing did not have robust ginger taste I have grow accustomed to and actually tasted like it had mayo in it. Boo. Miso lacked flavor and only had a few, very tiny cubes of tofu. The sushi and rolls were very thin on fish and heavy on rice. They obviously want you to fill up on cheap rice. When I didn't finish a clump (one piece worth) of rice they charged me .50...really? So, sadly I will not be back for the buffet. If I come back I'll order off the menu. read more

I have been here a few times and have always enjoyed the food. I decided to bring my mom for dinner and my husband. We all ordered our own meals and I ordered the 27.99 all you can eat sushi. The policy is no sharing and you pay .50 each piece of sushi you don't eat. I can respect their rules however my mother had never eaten sushi before and again she had her own meal. I gave her one piece to try and the waiter comes up behind me as we are eating and says " no sharing". We spent almost 100.00 that night on dinner and I felt if I wanted to let my mom try ONE piece of sushi since I am a paying customer I should have that right. I felt this was highly rude and obviously they don't know what good customer service is. It's sad because I enjoyed the good but I will never be back.
