We discovered this place due to a recommendation from a friend. First off it is a bring your own wine , which is always a plus. The location was nice inside, clean cozy and casual. The service was so friendly and attentive , The pricing was reasonable and the food was excellent , you cant ask for more ! We came here on a Tuesday night for dinner and the place was packed , so definitely show up early or try to make a reservation. They bring you their regular menu and then they have a board of seasonal specials to choose from as well. The sushi was so fresh and tasty , we were so impressed with each roll that we had , it melted in your mouth and you could taste each of the flavours inside. They had lots of options with seaweed and many with rice paper which was nice. Theyre very generous with the amount of fish in each piece. I highly recommend this place to any sushi lover.

You can also order to go here I believe. They really operate efficiently, expect fast service! Tables are tightly situated and there's a cozy bar situation where I sat this time, able to watch the chefs cook right in front of me. The daily specials are posted on their Instagram page, as well as written on pieces of paper around the restaurant. My server quickly helped me to water and a glass of sake. I placed a to go order for one of the daily specials, the grilled sea bass with sushi rice and salad, with some kimchi. I also ordered the BBQ chicken with tortilla and salad, as well as vegetable gyoza. Everything was incredible. Truly. The gyoza came topped with green onions and was SO crispy and hot and was perfect with their soy sauce. I thought sea bass was wonderful with a unique almost smoky flavor that melted in my mouth paired with the slightly sweet sticky rice. The barbecue chicken was great as well and better the next day. One thing I don't really understand is why they served plain flour tortillas cut into quarters with their food. We didn't utilize this, nor the white butter/mayo sauce that came alongside it. I hope to eat here often, for years to come and am so happy to see this iconic Japanese restaurant still thriving years later.

There is not a ton of seating in the restaurant. It is small and the tables are quite close together. We were a little disappointed that they ran out of salmon so we couldn't order any salmon sashimi dishes. We got skewers which were absolutely delicious! We also ordered takoyaki and okonomiyaki but there was nothing special about those. Wouldn't really recommend the okonomiyaki either. Would definitely recommend trying the Shrimp Burger and the Salmon Calcium (salmon pate).

It looked cool, so I told my parents we'll go on our way back home to Toronto from Quebec City. We had to wait about 30 minutes for a table, and I'll admit the waiting area isn't the best. When we finally got our table, it was tucked in the corner of the restaurant by the windows. Thankfully it was insulated well despite a cold night. The food concept is pretty unique here, as Southeast Asian cuisine isn't too common overall. We decided to share a bunch of dishes to increase the variety of foods. Pork Belly Steamed Buns - Excellent Laksa Soup with Chicken - Excellent, and I like how they separated the satay on a spoon. Satay Babi - This was an item from their special menu, which is basically satay pork skewers. It was also very good. Fried chicken - Nothing special, could probably skip this. Char kway teow - Very uniquely done. I wasn't expecting clams on it, and it was an excellent addition. Service was also amazing. There are some other dishes that I wasn't able to try, and I would say the uniqueness of this place will entice me to return here.

The place feels more like a bar than a restaurant, with dark lighting, red lanterns, and neon signs giving it a cool vibe. We spoke with (maybe) the owner's son and got seated at the bar after about 10-15 minutes. The bartender was friendly, even though he was nonstop making cocktails and juggling a packed bar. We ordered two of my favorites: laksa and char kway teow. Having lived in Singapore for a couple of years, I was excited to try them. The food came out quickly--less than 10 minutes. The laksa was flavorful with a nice hot broth, but the portion was really small for the price. Wish there was more noodles! The char kway teow was even more surprising: very small portion, and it came with two clams, which I've never seen in all my time in Malaysia or Singapore. At $20, it just didn't feel worth it. Overall, the vibe is fun and the atmosphere is great, but the portion sizes are way too small for what you pay. I'd say they need to be at least 30% bigger to match the price point. For that reason, I wouldn't go back, but I can see why people come here more for the drinks and ambiance. My husband had to get a kebab afterwards as he was still hungry. Apparently this area is quite popular with loads of bars and restaurants.

Management in the restaurant was arrogant and offensive. On top of everything the $23.00 pho was the worst pho I have ever tasted. The worst part: I emailed the buisiness to offer them my grievance. They requested I detail my poor experiences by email, which I did and they then completely ignored me (i received no responce). Poor Management. Terrible food that is overpriced. The drinks are fancy and nice, but there are better spots close by.

Everything was fresh and new. I got the crunchy tofu and the porc spring rolls, i burned my tongue because I was trying to eat everything as it arrived at my table. The tofu came with this really fluffy and tasty coating of crunchy-ness and sauce. The spring rolls were indescribably delicious. I highly recommend ordering them. My family ordered different meals so I got to taste the pad thai and the coconut salmon as well and those meals made me wish I had more stomach space. Unfortunately, the terrace was full when we arrived so we had to sit inside. However, the interior is so modern and chic that I didn't mind at all. My family and I had a great time! It's a really great restaurant for a nice flavourful and laid back dinner.
