The flavor was there and the portion was more than enough for 2 meals. The chicken was also tender which is a plus! I probably had the best the tandoori chicken of my life. I love tandoori chicken to my last breath. Its insane! We reached around 925 pm on a Saturday night and they said its been very slow so we are closing soon, which was fine as we were hungry and were ready with the order in a minute. We ordered the veg momo chaat alright I think a different concept but a finger licking good. The mix of yogurt tamrind and mint sauce with momos was out of the world. Then came my tandoori chicken. Omg superrrrr tender chicken with a tadka of fresh ghee which had such an awesome flavor to it. Then paneer pasanda followed by daal makhni and nepalese curry chicken. Tried the new items, momo chicken biryani and Gobi bezula today along with chilli momos. The chilli momos were great as usual. A bit spicy, but that's where the flavor comes from. For the biryani, The Momo masala was very well set and blended perfectly with the flavor of biryani rice. Flavorful and satiating. The Gobi bezula was also a new taste and had good flavor of curry leaves. When we dine-in in the future, I hope this will be more crispy. read more

So I was disappointed that our order was wrong (they substituted without asking if it was ok), they left out our orders of garlic naan ($8) but still charged us for them, and when I drove back to pick it up - with our food getting soggy and cold at home - they handed me the bag of naan and said, 'Sorry'. Terrible service. So disappointed. Don't do takeout. Can't tell you if the food tastes good because I'm too irritated to eat. $85 for dinner for two. UPDATE: Reheated for lunch today and the food was absolutely delicious. Really flavorful curry, balanced heat/spices and tender chicken and goat. Simply put, my entire order was not good. I ordered the Momo Chaat, Achari Curry, Paneer Malai Kofta, and Nepali Mo Mos. Firstly, instead of the Momo Chaat, I received Momos in soup, which was very bland. The curry dishes were also very bland, watered downed and seem to have very mild spice rather than the traditional level that I ordered. The naan bread was not what I had before when ordered from Yuva Eats. It tasted store bought and crumbled when I tried to pull it apart. The Paneer Malai Kofta was also bland, however the white onions did add a little more flavor and crunch. If I have to be honest the overall meal was uneatable. I had to throw it all in the trash. I am disappointed that spent almost $70 on a meal that I can not eat and have to buy something else and spend even more money. read more

A few weeks ago, my wife and I ate here for a date night. It's a very clean, bright, and well-lighted restaurant. No dim, cozy corners here. We started with the chili chicken momos. Oh wow! I could eat about 1,000 of these. These were the fried momos and they were perfect. I highly recommend you order these. I had the Kukhura Ko Jhol Masu (nepalese curry chicken). It was a tasty dish. Not too spicy or anything like that. My wife had the malai kofta. A creamy, slightly sweet sauce. My only knock - some other families had come in, and they were letting their children run wild. Screaming, throwing papers, banging on the walls. I didn't want to be "that guy" and scold them or their family, but I was hoping the staff might talk to the patrons. It really soured the evening. Hands down the best Samosa's you're going to find. Get them with the tamarind dipping sauce. Their chicken Tikka is my second favorite in the metro and my favorite within 40 minutes of their location so it's definitely a staple. Everything they have is really good and their coverage of Nepalese food is really unique. Depending the mood you're in don't sleep on some of their noodle dishes either as they are craving in their own right when you may not be looking for the standard "Indian food" flavors. Kathmandu Chowmein is so good, Chili Chicken is really good and I think they have fenugreek in there or something like it and it's really really tasty. read more

We've really enjoyed going to this restaurant. The food is great and it has nice decor which makes it a welcoming atmosphere. The portions are large and you will be full by the time you leave there. Solid five stars. Some of the best Indian (or in this case Napali) food I've ever had outside of India, and without a doubt the best in SKC. Only Chai Sai (KCMO) is in the same league. Yowza! I have had a LOT of Indian food in KC, but this place is leaps and bounds above most of them when it comes to flavor. The samosas (two in an order) were seasoned beautifully, even without the spice dusting that most places tend to give them. The sauces they brought out were delightful. The mint chutney is literally the only mint chutney I have ever liked. And the other sauce (perhaps their take on the usually-standard tamarind sauce??) was unique, sweet, and added another depth to an already wonderful appetizer. The chicken tikka masala (my go-to) was absolutely stunning. I even took home the entirety of my leftover sauce for a snack later. The galub jamun was the only disappointment. The flavor was there, but the balls were much denser than I've ever had before, and the texture was a bit off. That said, it was not so much of a disappointment as to tarnish the rest of the meal. The server brought peanut, tamarind, mint and chili sauces. I couldn't have been happier. Everything had a lot of flavor. This is exactly what I've been missing for years. Oh, how I love samosas... My husband had the saffron chicken korma, and I had the kukhura ko jhol. Both came with rice. The spice level was just as ordered. We also ordered garlic naan. So much flavor and so comforting on a chilly day. We ordered a mango lassi to go and it was almost empty by the time we got to the car. The service was good and the place was clean. Ordered Chilli Chicken and 2 Thalis- 1 Chicken and 1 Goat. Chilli Chicken was tasting decent but had too much for tomato base which didn't make it satisfying. Also, it is for 9 bucks with an extremely small portion size made it just an absolute waste of money. The chicken and goat curry , mixed vegetable curry and dal the thali was fabulous but it was served with stale naan and rice. We chose an even split of KC BBQ and Indian food at the wedding because I'm from KC, and my wife's parents are from England and had it at their wedding. Our wedding was outdoors on a sunny 85 degree day in the sun. Some bbq was left over, but the Indian food disappeared (even in the heat). That's a testament to how delicious the food was. As for the catering process, Hemanta is your man. He owns, operates and cooks at the restaurant, so you get to talk to the man who will cater to all your needs and concerns. The cost was low, his amounts were excellent (he cooked for 60), and his food preparation was tailored to carrying it off-site to another location while staying warm. (Side note: we had a flake of a wedding planner who was late to pick up the food, but Hemanta was calling me asking if he should deliver the food himself) When sampling around town, we knew after the first bites that we'd found our caterer, and working with Hemanta was as awesome as the food was delicious! Overall the service was decent. The waiter was mostly attentive but there was a tad bit of a language barrier so it made it somewhat difficult. Let me throw this disclaimer out there, I've only had Indian food about 3x before.. With that being said my favorite was the Hot South Indian Chicken. It has a strong spice taste, eating it with the rice milds it down. Not spice as in spicy but spice as in aromatic. The Butter chicken Thali was okay, it has more of a sweet spice taste to it. The sides in the Thali were different. My favorite was the carrots and cucumbers, the dressing on it was light but semi sweet, like Italian dressing. I didn't care for the cauliflower, it was cooked good but the seasoning wasn't my style. The lentils were okay, the consistency was a little more on the mushy side and not too much flavor. The Greek yogurt was Greek yogurt. And the dessert that came on the Thali was interesting. It was a Gulab Jamun which was sweet but still had a different kind of after taste.... I think if you like Indian food, then definitely try this place! Unfortunately I'm not a huge fan of it so I may be a tad biased saying I more than likely wouldn't return. read more
