If I could rate 0 stars I would. I visited this location on Sunday 9/17/23 because not many nail salons are open on Sundays and I wanted to do something nice for myself that day. I wanted a full set. There was an older gentleman that started my nails, and he was so busy talking to their salon dog (cutest dog ever) that he glued some of my nails on completely crooked. I had him fix them because these are my nails and I'm paying for a service. Once he glued them on, I went over to the older woman so that she can finish and I showed her what I wanted which was coffin. This lady was cutting and filing my nails into ovals. I said ma'am, this is what I want and showed her the photo again. she got very nasty and upset and told me "I can't do for you, I don't know how to do coffin". she then proceeded to cut my glued nails off, as if I wanted them to stay. I ofcourse snatched my hand back because if you're this unprofessional and mean then you will not be touching me with scissors. So I left and found "1981 Nail Salon" and received the best experience and most beautiful nails. They're open on Sundays also and is located at 9570 SW 62nd Ave (suite 200). The young man there was very sweet and kind. I pray when he gets older, he part ways from that woman and start his own salon or journey. You can tell he's embarrassed of her behavior. read more

I'm not one to sit here and write reviews, but what I experienced is beyond ridiculous. I went in to get my nails done, gel, and prior to leaving they asked if I wanted to get my eyebrows done. Since I'm leaving on vacation in a few days, I said, sure. Well, as we were walking back to the room, I noticed she was on the phone. As a customer that works in customer service, I found it rude that she continued to talk on the phone during the entire eyebrow and face waxing, but who am I to say anything, I kept my mouth shut and dealt with it. After 5 minutes of talking and waxing, she spread some lotion on my face and sent me on my merry way. In a salon, they usually give you the mirror and say, do you like????? But no, she didn't. She just kept on talking on the phone. I went home and took a shower, and when I looked in the mirror, I just about fell on the floor. She waxed my eyebrows, leaving a 2-inch gap between the two, I was livid. All I wanted was for her to clean them up, not reshape or cut their length. I loved my natural brows. All I pluck are the straggling hairs on the bottom, now I've got freaking I-75 between my eyebrows. So today I decided to pay her a visit to let her know I wasn't happy ... I asked her why she ruined my brows. She didn't even apologize... she kept saying I only clean, I said no ... you took a chunk on each side ... look!!!! No apology, nothing. No offer to refund the $40 she charged me for the shitty wax job. Never going there again. Not professional. When you deal with customers, give them your undivided attention. You have a business because of us!!! Hell will freeze over before I set a foot in there again!!!! read more

If you live in Ocala or have to be here I highly recommend Yvon's. The proprietors are super nice and efficient. The chairs are cooommmmfffyy and the place is spotless. The price was $25. Amazing. I had a pedicure with Van. She was the perfect combo of gentle and string - great technique and massage. I went in for a full set with regular nail polish and was surprised that it was only $35. honestly, you won't find this price anywhere else so I wanted to try it. I was charged $40 instead for a specific nail shape which I didn't mind since I understand oval is a bit hard to achieve. pretty normal for a nail salon to charge for a harder shape. everything was going well until she put on the nail polish. it was sloppy and the layers were so thick that it would dent after a long time drying even at home. the entire process felt rushed because there were only two people (one on pedis and one on manis) and a few people were coming in. during the glue application, one of the tips fell off and after a few days getting my set, that same nail completely came off--probably because the nail glue wasn't strong to begin with. read more

This place is horrible. I went in for gel. The nail polish was bad and I told the man and he continued to put it on saying it wasn't bad. He ended up having to file the nail polish off my nails. Three of us walked in without appointments & within a few minutes we were being taken care of. We had pedicures that included massage, scrub & masks, manicures, eyebrow, lip & chin waxing. I hadn't had my nails done in a while and decided to treat myself. I guess I should have left when I walked in and the nail tech was lying on the love seat in the waiting area by the door. My daughter and I wanted to get our nails done together and they said someone would be available for her in a few minutes. I was almost done before they were ready for her (she didn't bother to have them done). There are bits and pieces of acrylic on the underside of my nails that I'll have to file off myself after I know the polish is truly dry. My daughter said she was looking around while waiting and the floor under the work stations was a mess ... every station looked like the floor hadn't been swept in weeks and there were bunches of acrylic chunks laying all over. She said the bathroom was so dirty she decided not to use it. There seems to be no consistency in the shape of my nails or length ... I'll need to fix that myself as well. read more

I had one great pedicure, but lately they are below what I would call good. I called at 5:00 to see if I could come in at 5:30, they said yes. It was around 6:10 before she even started. The pedicure was mediocre, they brush your feet for what seems like 2 seconds. I don't think she looked at my feet to see I still had calluses, never cleaned under the toenails of my right foot, she did the left one! I had to point out to the tech some more trimming that had to be done. I give up, not going back. It is clean and utensils are sterilized, but that's not good enough. read more

I went here twice because even though I was not impressed the first time I went I like to give everyone the benefit of doubt and a second chance. i would tell you to stay away from there. The woman doing the nails is rude and does not take her time to do a good job. I felt like an assembly line to see how many people she could get thru. My biggest problem is two of the nails she put on and shaped was slightly crooked. The paint job was hurried and when asked if I could get coffin shape nails she first said yes than later said no I am not doing that today. Since I didn't have my heart set on coffin shape I let it go. My reason for only one star and I wouldn't give that is because one of my nails corner just broke off only 3 days after getting them done. When I went in to see if she could fix just the one nail she told me no she was too busy and too come back tomorrow. She only had only one person waiting and I was willing to wait but she refused to fix the one nail. So she does not care If her work is sloppy and doesn't care how her customers nails look. I would stay away from there. The nail tech is rude and unwilling to stand behind her nails. By the way she is the only nail tech there the rest do peds. read more

Took my daughter here for her first full set and they did a great job. However, we went back for fills and were highly dissatisfied. Can not even tell we had fills done and nails still look like they need fills. It was a waste of money and will NEVER go back. The associates would not even compensate us. read more

I had been to Yvon nails several times and enjoyed it very much. I received a gift certificate for a BDay present and went to present the gift certificate (with no expiration date on it) and they refused to honor it do to the fact that the ownership had changed hands. Now, wouldn't you think that when they purchased the business(same name) that they would have honored that gift certificate rather than losing a customer!
