If you're looking for a low-key roof top bar with a nice view of downtown, this is your place. We went on a chillier night so the heat lamps were a must. Unfortunately a few were broken so there weren't many places to keep warm without huddling around with a bunch of other people. The bartenders were very responsive and did an amazing job with customer service. The drinks were average- but we just got basic cocktail mixers so we can't speak on any of the specialty cocktails. I don't even when give them 1 star!! A HORRIBLE customer service!! It was the worst experience ever!! I called them 3 different times to make sure that ID isn't required upon entry, told them I have a party and wanna reserve a table and even called before going to make sure it's reserved. And when we showed up at the place they made a problem and didn't wanna let us in bc 1 girl was only 20 and the rest of the group were allowed to enter! So it's either to change the place in such a hectic night or stay without our friend! The supervisor was helpful but then the manager came and changed the deal. She was super unhelpful, provoking, annoying, and mean. Even when we were running out of time and just had to go to the restaurant downstairs. The host and the manager were just RUDE. Great views, delicious drinks and a well kept secret in Houston. Came here on a Friday night and enjoyed a couple of the cosmos while catching up with friends and taking in the view. Z on 23 was filled with mainly a business crowd of post work happy hour friends and couples on dates. The only thing that would make this place better is if they had a DJ playing music later in the night. Worst service we ever had... we waited 30 min to enter which is fine, I understand there's a lot of people. Before we enter the guy downstairs tells us that we have time to get one drink because they will stop serving alcohol at 11 pm (it was 10:30 pm). My friend got up and asked if she could please take our order, her answer was "I'll come when I get to it" then I go to the bar and asked the bartender guy at 10:45 pm and he says "bar is closed" I said nicely: sorry but there's still 15 min to 11... and he said ok I'll go to your table, guess what? NEVER CAME! I get up again to the bar at 11 pm and said "I've been waiting for 30 min there's nobody at the rooftop, can somebody please take our order? The other waitress said "I'll come to your table... I replied it's 11 pm already and she said don't worry about it, I'll come anyways, SHE ALSO NEVER CAME TO THE TABLE. We waited more than an hour and we couldn't even order, so we left after an hour waiting for someone and the worst part is that the place was empty... what a waste of time! They were so rude to us. Just went there for the view actually. If I am not mistaken, valet parking is 8$. There is no menu that you can look at but bartenders are ready for whatever you order if you know what to order lol. I am a drink snob and I can't stand a lazy bartender and I gasp and clutch my pearls at a certain drink (martini) that was shaken not stirred!!! Blasphemy. Decided to give the roof top bar a try to kick off date night in Houston. Made it to the top and was completely disappointed by the service. We asked for a bar/happy hour menu and the bartender responded with "Really, you are going to do that to me"? He then proceeded to complain and begrudgingly handed us the menu. He said if we ordered food then everyone else would. He acted as if asking him to do his job was equivalent to asking him to move a mountain. We immediately left. I will never reccomend this place to anyone or a my clients for fear they will be extremely disappointed as well. read more

DON'T GO HERE. My friend and I were staying at the hotel and went to the bar around 8:30pm. We asked for a food menu when we got there, the bartender looked around for one and then said "we don't have any, here's what we have" and named off a few things....it was really loud we said the lettuce wraps sounded good....we guess? They came to our table with the food and the food runner said, "pork belly?" To which we replied no. He went behind the bar to ask the bartender and she pointed at us and then walked him over and said "this is yours." I guess we should have clarified what the meat was on the lettuce wraps (we assumed chicken), but my friend does not eat pork. When we went back to the bartender to explain, the bartender was extremely rude and said, "I never would have said they were chicken, I know what they are." To that we just walked away and picked at it....for a tab that was $55+ for lettuce wraps and two drinks, we would have liked to know what we were getting or at least way better service. If they had had menus on hand it would have been way more helpful and the entire situation could have been avoided. The hotel was nice, but next time we stay we definitely will not be visiting the roof top bar. Don't go here, you can do way better in downtown Houston. read more

Came to the bar and had to wait downstairs in the lobby for 20mins until a table became available. When called back up we were informed they were out of multiple items. I placed my order and it took 1.5hrs to get a cold hard sandwich, water down cranberry juice, and cold quesadillas made with American cheese. I stood up to take a picture and they threw my food away. After throwing my food away I said something and they took it out the trash. They said they were out so I couldn't get it. Absolutely beautiful view. Came here on a Friday evening, valet was actually free (but you can always park at the public lot that is just across the street, one block over on the corner) It started to get a bit more busy after 10pm, but before that it was pretty empty. The bar itself is fairly small with a few high top tables near it, but most of the space is along the perimeter and used as seating/lounging area. Bartenders were very warm and friendly :) A bit chilly this season and I almost wish they had some heat lamps to combat the wind, but the view is really spectacular and the cocktails looked delicious even though I stuck to wine. It also looked like some people were able to order food that was brought up by hotel staff. Very relaxing and also really great music! Lofi hip hop and a few classic 90s and 80s hits, but the playlist is crafted in a way where every song flows seamlessly into the next. Will definitely be back again with friends in the evening or even to do some light work on my laptop during the quiet hours! read more
