Well, the strategic planning team at Soapy Joe's must be watching my every move because like a moth to a flame, I was quick to make my way just a hop, skip, and a jump to wash the beast. Sure, she's an old dog, but Joe makes her clean up well. I have no idea how old this operation is but I really love that they're everywhere and I know exactly what I'm going to get. The fact that I can get that same thing just about anywhere in SD is the cherry on top of why I like this company.

I stopped by on Monday afternoon 07/27/2026 at 3:18 (see photo) because I had some time before an appointment down the street. This location is smaller, but I didn't expect that to translate into such a poor experience. As I was getting ready to receive my air freshener, my driver's window wasn't fully down like it normally is at other locations. I'm not sure why, but before I even had the air freshener in my hand, my car was rushed into the wash. I didn't have time to roll up my window, and my car wasnt even close enough to be in neutral, so I couldn't do anything. As a result, water and cleaning solution sprayed into my car, soaking me, my driver's seat, and my phone, which was sitting on my lap. I was furious, but I stayed polite and focused on making sure I didn't roll into the car in front of me. All the attendant said was "oh let me know when ur in neutral." Really?!? That's it?!? I had to go straight to my appointment completely soaked, along with the inside of my car. When I came out afterward and tried to plug in my phone, it had issues charging because it had gotten wet during the wash. This entire situation was completely avoidable!!! Staff should ensure customers are actually ready before sending vehicles into the wash. It felt rushed, careless, and showed a lack of attention to customer safety and property. I will never return to this location and hope management provides better training so this doesn't happen to someone else. You've been warned.,.use this soapy joes at ur own risk!!!

The shade canvas has been removed so on hot days your car bakes in the hot sun and you have to work fast to ensure you don't get spots! Well that is if there are towels available to dry your car off! The topper was yesterday! I went to make sure my car was spotless as I was taking some friends out and wanted a clean car! The attendant was no where to be seen to guide my car into the car wash. I had to honk the horn to get his attention. He came out of an office chewing down food. Then.... When I parked there were a very few amount towels! The vacuum cleaner was not working! No suction power at all. I tried to use the air hose and that too had no pressure. I pay for a service that I'm not getting! It seems that it's just this location though! I can go out of my way to San Marcos and there I get the full service I wanted like I had in National City! Yet that makes no sense why I have to go out of my way to get the service I am paying for!
