I would not recommend to anyone I know. I asked him if it didn't pass if he does a retest for free he said yes then when it didn't pass and I got the paperwork it's 25$ for the retest. Just trying to get as much money out people that they can read more

I was very pleased with my service here. I was looking for a new place to go to get my smog check, and my husband recommended this place due to a past experience (and he had checked reviews on yelp prior to that experience). I got there right when the place opened, and the door was locked so I called. No one answered, but I discovered later that it was because the employee on duty was helping a customer. GET THIS though... he called me back before I could even leave the parking lot. He directed me to drive around to the service area and quickly got me checked and thoroughly explained all of the relevant charges to me and I was done within 30 minutes (this includes the wait for him to service another customer). I have been using this establishment for the past 6 years. Joe seems to be an honest down to earth guy. He visually inspects your car before putting it on the machine, so if there is a problem visually to keep the car from passing smog he will let you know and not smog it. Price is competitive. The shop is set back from the street a ways, but there is a pick-up, parked next to the street that has a good sign about Z Smog. The gentleman and lady operating this "TEST ONLY" smog station are great. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and considerate. They understand your situation! You know what the price is from the beginning - no playing games with the customer. The technician takes time to tell you everything about the testing process - some folks may not wanna know, but I do! He explains what will happen if you don't pass the test and what options are available, if you shouldn't pass. Let's face it, if you can't afford a new car every couple of years, then you gotta face the consequences! So... Keep your car tuned , change the dad-gummed oil, replace the air filter. If that Gawd-for-saken "check engine light" comes on - get your car to the dealer or a reputable mechanic! Z Smog is a "Test Only" station and they won't do repairs, tune-ups or any of those things. But they are honest and knowledgeable! They may be ZBest! read more
