I had a great experience here. I drove a classic Datsun 280zx down to Florida from Chicago but had some problems on the way. I couldn't drive home without getting them fixed, so I searched the net to find a place that I could trust to fix the issues (thermostat and a couple of thrown belts) and saw that Ztech specialized in Asian cars and especially in the Datsun/Nissan Z cars. It was a great choice. Avi and Dave did a great job fixing my car and treated me very well. After they fixed the few problems I brought the car in for, I realized they knew what they were doing so asked their opinions on what else I could do to make the car even better. Avi was thrilled that I trusted him to fix up my car, and he gave me an estimate and explained exactly what he recommended and why he thought each step would help. I decided to do everything, and I am so happy I did. I live in the midwest and there are no mechanics in my area who could tackle the work that they did on my car. It was extensive, replacing the suspension system, replacing the clutch, and some of the coolant system. The price was very reasonable given how extensive the work was. And the car drives like a dream now, it feels like a new car. It was well worth the money and time I spent in Orlando. Two additional points. First, I had to get back home by a certain date and Avi and Dave knew it. They usually close around 5, but they stayed until 9:00 the night before i picked up the car to complete the work because they had promised me it would be done the next morning. Second, one of the parts they installed, an oil pressure sender unit, failed on the drive home. Not their fault, But they honored the warranty and arranged for a replacement to be installed in my hometown, including finding a good mechanic they trusted to install it. I was very pleasantly surprised, that went above and beyond what I would expect from most mechanics. I would happily trust Ztech to work on my car anytime. I've been a car guy all of my life and can fix almost anything except automatic transmissions and electrical gremlins! My parents have used Avi's team in the past with their Honda so I decided to use their expertise when our 2000 Civic was running rough. I fixed the hesitation problem myself by replacing the plugs, plug wires and complete distributor (not just cap and rotor). The car ran much better but still had low power and was pinging like crazy (I even made sure to replace the distributor back in the same spot as the original). Z Tech quickly found that the timing was way too advanced (35 degrees) which was causing the pinging. Then they determined the EGR passages were almost clogged. They performed the intake clensing and now the car runs like new without pinging and has much more power! It is always nice to find a shop owner who is so dedicated that he will take the time to not only tell you WHAT repairs they did but WHY the repairs were made and the corrective measures needed to FIX the problem instead of just masking the real problem. We've owned our car since new and I have performed all maintenance myself so I knew they were treating me fairly when they did not have a list of 20 other things that they found "wrong". It is in all shops' favor to give the owner of the vehicle a list of items that may need repair or replacing soon as this is a sales and safety. Since my list was minimal I felt this just reinforced the quality of service I have been performing on my own vehicles. Some people apparently take this the wrong way and feel the 'shop' is ripping them off when it should be used as a tool to gauge the maintenance history of the vehicle. Bottom line: I would highly recommend Z Tech to anyone driving a Japanese vehicle. There is a reason they have been in business since 1980! read more

I am a recent patron of ZTech Automotive. My vehicle was previously repaired by another Orlando repair shop which completely failed to correct all of the engine faults after conducting a complete overhaul of my engine. The shop would not agree to correct these faults only some three weeks after I picked the car up and experienced problems. I was forced to seek legal council. I took my time after this experience to locate another repair facility which I thought was trust worthy and competent. I found that in ZTech. Avi, the Ztech owner and operator took his time in diagnosing all of my engine and other associated problems regarding my car and reported all to me most effectively through phone text video. This method provided me a complete understanding of what he and his team was repairing and the challenges remaining. At the end of the repairs I was elated with the results. Ztech found many more issues which required repair leaving me very satisfied and appreciative of this shop and their complete professionalism and knowledge. I am now a faithful customer of Ztech and will bring all of my vehicles to Ztech and convince the same to my friends. I've had a couple of experiences with ZTech and I must say I am impressed and trust the services provided. I had a few problems with my used car and went to ZTech on a friend's recommendation. The owner Avi was experienced, honest and hospitable. I received a quotation before any work was done, and turned out to be a great price when I checked with a few guys I know who are experienced in these matters. On my second visit, I had a engine problems and when metal paste oozed out on draining the oil, it turned out my engine was toast. Avi didn't charge me a dime for the inspection. I had been quoted $330 elsewhere to change the oil pan in an attempt to 'salvage' the engine, but I was skeptical that that the situation is beyond salvation and I appreciate the honesty and generosity on Avi's part of actually looking at the engine before determining the course of action. I would highly recommend ZTech to anyone looking for reliable, experienced and honest service. I am positively surprised to find a negative review after my dealings with ZTech. read more

this place rocks! I putted in there with my check engine light flashing and had very little horsepower.It was almost 5pm closing time.I was frantic , Avi told me it would be fine but it was closing time he can take a look at it 1st thing in the morning there were still 2 cars to finish.That was fine because i was sure what ever was wrong was not a quick fix. He had a rental car pick me up and had me in a rental within 15 minutes. I worried all night with the things I read on the internet that could possibly be wrong with it. To make a long story short the job was done right the price was very reasonable. I felt comfortable and they are very accomedating there. Another great job by Avi's team at Ztech, My Xterra had an intermittent starting problem. They found the problem and completed the repair the same day. When I picked up the car, Avi explained the repairs, escorted me to the car, and discussed them again after starting the car, the first try of course. After listening and learning, I mentioned to Avi that the engine was as quiet as when it was new. The team at Ztech has been maintaining my cars (280Z, 350Z, Acura, Xterra) for 20+ years. Without exception Z-Tech has been quick to diagnose the problems, order the required parts, and complete the repair in a timely fashion and at a fair price. The repairs have ranged from routine maintenance to complex troubleshooting of a nagging problem. whatever negative you hear about this place is totally false!!1 I have had my car here for 5 years getting refurbished and painted etc. I have never had an issue or concern.
